Character Name:

Jina Kim

Age (In-Game):

34

Age Range (Vocal):

Late 20s to mid-30s

(Voice should reflect a young woman burdened by trauma, experience, and emotional fatigue.)

Tone & Delivery Style:

Grounded, introspective, and human.

Speaks with measured confidence, but her tone is often edged with weariness, grit, or lingering anxiety.

Has moments of vulnerability, but can flip into sharp sarcasm, cold pragmatism, or emotional detachment depending on the situation.

When in her ranger form, she will become a completely different character and sound crazy.

Voice Personality & Traits:

Survivor energy. Her voice reflects someone who’s been through hell, endured it, and came out with scars instead of glory.

Intelligent, observant, and self-aware, but often emotionally guarded.

Tends to be straightforward, sometimes blunt — she doesn’t talk to fill space.

Moments of snapping tension or bitterness bubble up unexpectedly, especially when past trauma is involved.

There is an underlying sadness in her tone, even when she tries to hide it.

Emotional Range:The VA must be able to express:

Fear without weakness

Strength without arrogance

Cynicism born from trauma

Rare, fragile moments of softness or humor

Will also show no emotion when it needs.

Also will be crazy laugh if by chance.

Character Summary for Voice Interpretation:

Jina Kim is not your typical protagonist. She’s a fallen idealist, once bright-eyed and full of dreams, now hiding in the woods of El Paso—scarred mentally and physically from Wealdstone experiments. She is fighting not only to survive but to remember who she was before they rewrote her DNA and tried to bury her humanity. There’s a voice in her head that isn’t hers. A past she can’t fully face. And a hunger she doesn’t understand.Despite all this, Jina’s voice should always feel real — never overacted or melodramatic. We need nuance, weight, and soul.

Voice description:
  • female adult
  • adult
  • Korean-American bilingual fluency is a bonus especially for memory flashbacks (some lines are delivered in Korean) (Note these are optional)
  • Neutral American (with occasional hints of Korean-American inflection subtle not stereotypical)
  • *Say something you thin"You think becoming a Ranger solves anything? It's just a title. A pretty suit and a number. But no one sees the person behind the helmet… not really.” (Emotion: bitter, restrained frustration — she’s not yelling, she’s confessing a hard truth.)k would fit*

  • "I used to want this. The power, the uniform… the purpose. Now I wake up every day wondering if I'm still me, or just whatever they built in that lab." (Soft, tired — as if admitting this to herself for the first time. Reflective and broken.)

  • "Don’t talk to me like you understand. You weren’t there. You didn’t see what they turned me into." (A sudden spike of emotion — anger and guilt, not seeking pity, but release.)
