General Plot summary
SynopsisFuutarou Uesugi is an ace high school student, but leads an otherwise tough life. His standoffish personality and reclusive nature have left him friendless, and his father is debt-ridden, forcing his family to scrape by.One day during his lunch break, Uesugi argues with a female transfer student who has claimed "his seat," leading both of them to dislike each other. That same day, he is presented with a golden opportunity to clear his family's debt: a private tutoring gig for a wealthy family's daughter, with a wage of five times the market price. He accepts the proposal, but is horrified to discover that the client, Itsuki Nakano, is the girl he confronted earlier!After unsuccessfully trying to get back on Itsuki's good side, Uesugi finds out that his problems don't end there: Itsuki is actually a quintuplet, so in addition to her, he must also tutor her sisters—Miku, Yotsuba, Nino, and Ichika—who, despite the very real threat of flunking, want nothing to do with a tutor. However, his family's livelihood is on the line so Uesugi pushes on, adamant in his resolve to rid the sisters of their detest for studying and successfully lead them to graduation.

5. it is important to have at least basic knowledge of the anime, for the plot and Dub/Sub Voices.

Itsuki Nakano (中なか野の 五月いつき, Nakano Itsuki?) is one of the main characters in the manga and anime series 5-toubun no Hanayome. She is the youngest of the quintuplet sisters, along with Ichika, Nino, Miku, and Yotsuba Nakano. She is the first quintuplet that the protagonist Fuutarou Uesugi encounters, and the two have a complicated relationship throughout the series.
Itsuki is portrayed as an intelligent and confident student, but also a bit stubborn and headstrong at times. She is very close to her sisters and takes on a protective role towards them, especially when it comes to their father's, Maruo Nakano, expectations for their academic success. She is also passionate about food and aspires to become a food-related professional in the future.
Throughout the series, Itsuki's character undergoes significant development as she confronts her own feelings for Fuutarou and navigates her complicated relationships with her sisters. Her story arc highlights themes of family, personal growth, and the challenges of adolescence.

Yotsuba Nakano (中なか野の 四よつ葉ば, Nakano Yotsuba?) is one of the main characters in the manga and anime series 5-toubun no Hanayome. She is the fourth sibling among her quintuplet sisters, with the other four being Ichika, Nino, Miku, and Itsuki Nakano. Yotsuba serves as one of the main love interests for the protagonist, Fuutarou Uesugi.
Yotsuba is initially depicted as a cheerful and outgoing character who is always willing to lend a hand to others. She is known for her energetic personality and her love of sports, particularly track and field. Yotsuba's character is also distinguished by her trademark green ribbon, which she wears on her head. She becomes a Class 3-1 representative later in the story.

Miku Nakano (中なか野の 三み玖く, Nakano Miku?) is the one of the main characters in the manga and anime series 5-toubun no Hanayome. She is one of the quintuplet sisters, along with Ichika, Nino, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano. Miku is the third eldest of the siblings and serves as one of the main love interests for the protagonist, Fuutarou Uesugi.
Miku is initially depicted as a shy and introverted character who struggles to express herself and communicate with others. However, as the series progresses, she begins to come out of her shell and develop her own sense of confidence and individuality. Miku is particularly interested in literature, and her love for books is a central part of her character's identity.

Nino is the second eldest of the siblings and serves as one of the main love interests for the protagonist, Fuutarou Uesugi.
Nino is depicted as a confident, strong-willed, and assertive character who is fiercely protective of her sisters. Ichika Nakano (中なか野の 一いち花か, Nakano Ichika?) is one of the main characters in the manga and anime series 5-toubun no Hanayome. She is one of the quintuplet sisters, with the other four being Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano. Ichika is the eldest of the siblings and serves as one of the main love interests for the protagonist, Fuutarou Uesugi.
Ichika is depicted as an aspiring actress who balances her studies with her acting career. She is a responsible and caring older sister to her quintuplet siblings, and often takes on a motherly role among them. In terms of her personality, Ichika is friendly, outgoing, and has a positive attitude, making her popular among her classmates. However, she can also be insecure and sensitive, particularly about her own shortcomings and her relationship with her sisters.

Raiha Uesugi (上杉うえすぎ らいは, Uesugi Raiha?) is the younger sister of Fuutarou Uesugi. She is the one who cooks for the family, and despite still being in elementary school, she's wise beyond her years.
Raiha is a slim young girl who stands at a medium height with long black hair, green/brown eyes (in Season 1, brown in Season 2), a simple butterfly-shaped ribbon, holding up her hair in a high cowlick

Isanari Uesugi (上うえ杉すぎ 勇いさ也なり, Uesugi Isanari?) is the father of Fuutarou Uesugi and Raiha Uesugi.
He has a distinctive golden, spiky hair with a bulked up and muscled body. Fuutarou five years ago also shared similar facial traits to Isanari.
He is always seen wearing sunglasses on his forehead. They are a memento of his deceased wife, who had bad eyesight while she was alive.
