The Go-Getters: A Dungeons & Dragons inspired animated short.
Meet King, Drekman, Ahrali, Sprout, and Van Gourd after a long and hard day of adventuring finally decide to take a well deserved rest.
But peace never lasts in this strange group. Especially when one of them decides to get up to no gourd.
This short serves as a proof of concept for a possible indie animated series.
REQUIREMENTS• 18+ only (for professional communication & possible mature themes)
• Clear microphone and minimal background noise.
• Comfortable using Discord for script delivery and coordination.

Everyone needs a Dungeon Master to narrate the choices that each character take. From their most heroic... to some questionable at times.
And so, Adventurers... your journey begins.
The mighty warrior enters the tavern, cape flowing dramatically… and immediately trips over a barstool. Very heroic...
Whether in glory or absolute disaster… well, that’s really up to you.
Drekman, the de facto leader of the group, is surprisingly the most qualified among them. His number one priority is making sure that the party is safe. Most of his time is spent making sure the other party members don’t fall victim to traps, monsters, or schemes. Although underneath the serious act he puts on he can enjoy humor from time to time.
Everyone, we need to stay level headed not… whatever this is turning into.
From this point on, I’m not letting you out of my sight! Leaving you to yourself keeps getting us into trouble.
You’re shaping up to be quite the fighter. Stay at it, young one and maybe one day you’ll be like me.
The risk taker of the bunch, King is always the first to start a fight, but never the one to finish it. His eyes are on pure profit above all else, though he’ll trade with souls if it means gaining more power for his patron. Still, when a fight starts, his party matters to him… even if he doesn’t always show it.
I’m not sure I can say I’m completely happy you’re still alive, but I’m definitely not happy you’re dead...if that makes any sense.
I mean what did you expect? He was selling the map for FIVE HUNDRED GOLD. That’s a crime. So yeah, I roughed him up a bit. At least he won’t be selling maps like that anymore.
Go on without me! I’m not about to throw myself into life threatening situations for people I barely even know.
The ‘charismatic’ one of the group, Sprout specializes in spouting myths and lies to his advantage. More often than not he digs himself deeper into the hole he’s made for himself. Still, if the teams needs someone to be persuaded, Sprout is the one to turn to.
Are you bald on purpose? I mean, honestly, I can think of a plethora of different hairstyles that would suit you better ones with hair, preferably.

Ahrali is the one you call when you want someone's pockets a little lighter. She specializes in lockpicking, pickpocketing, and some slight illusion magic. The group’s little sister, she delights in small acts of chaos never out of true malice, but because she can’t resist a little mischief here and there.
Sprout, you’ve said that about every wild animal we’ve run into in this forest. We get it!

The party’s so called ‘pet' though a living pumpkin hardly qualifies as one. Van Gourd has a knack for getting into trouble not because he he wants to, but because he’s not exactly the sharpest by any means.

A storyboard artist to help visually bring the script to life before we start animation. Your job will be to turn the script and direction into clear storyboards. These storyboards should show character actions, camera angles, and pacing.

We need a composer to create an original soundtrack for the short. This will help set the tone and boost the story along with the visuals and voice acting.
