The MRU Chronicles (Animated Visual Novel - Episode 2)

OVERVIEW
Hello and thank you for checking out this post.
This casting call is for a episode 2 of my animated visual novel series I'm looking to make available on my YouTube channel this spring 2022. The MRU Chronicles is a science fiction action / adventure which follows the lives and journeys of an elite team of highly skilled mercenaries, the Multiverse Response Unit (MRU), as they engage in high-risk and high-paying contract operations throughout time and space. The stories involve a lot of action and humor and are intended to brighten the day of all who watch, to take the viewer on an amazing journey, away from their problems and stresses in life.
The series includes CG / 3D animation in a visual novel style, which will become more animated as time goes on and eventually fully animated in the future. A number of roles have been filled and voice actors will be returning for the second episode. Additional voice actors/actresses will be needed for new characters appearing in episode 2. Two of the roles were originally voiced by an actress in the first episode who is no longer able to continue with the series. The link provided is the first episode of the show released in December 2021. It will give you an idea of what the series is about and how things will look / sound. :)
DEADLINES
Auditioning will be open until Wednesday March 2th, 2022 with voice actors / actresses to be chosen and notified no later than Friday March 4th, 2022. Deadline for final voice lines will be Wednesday March 11th, 2022. Due to time constraints these are hard deadlines. If you will be unable to meet the deadlines given please do not audition for the role.
REQUIREMENTS
- Good quality microphone capable of recording recording high quality voice with minimal background noise. Some background white noise or hum can be removed. However, the better the recording the less post processing work will be needed to correct issues and prepare audio.
Have fun! My desire is for everyone involved in this project to enjoy themselves and the work they're doing, to feel they've contributed to something important that will have a positive and meaningful impact on others in the world. My desire is for the audience to be taken away from their life stresses and enjoy an action packed science fiction adventure that will, hopefully, improve their mood and help reset their mind, ready once again to take on life's challenges. When those involved in the project are having a blast that enjoyment translates to the audience as well. :)

There's also a channel where updates are provided regarding the status of work on the visual novel series and voice channels for discussions related to the upcoming series!
Voice actors / actresses involved in the show will receive first access to viewing the completed episode as well.

Brandi Cruz is a youthful, energetic and determined young woman who gets along well with others which is largely the reason for her relatively rapid rise through the ranks of the Antarian Military.

Brandi Cruz was born, and grew up, on Coridan, the central command world of an extremely large Empire, spanning several galaxies, that has existed for centuries, known as the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth is ruled by a dictator. Dictators are chosen by a council of high ranking political officials known as: “The 12”. The state of the Commonwealth and it’s benevolence\malevolence is determined entirely by the ruling dictator. When Brandi was born the ruling dictator was benevolent allowing unprecedented freedoms to all, never before heard of since the foundation of the Commonwealth. As a result the Commonwealth has flourished and expanded more than it had in 100 years.
Brandi was born in Commonwealth City on Coridan and lived a normal life with her parents who owned a small business there. Her parent’s business flourished under the benevolent dictator of the time, but there was a destabilizing force working to rest power away from the Commonwealth: The Central Resistance.
The Central Resistance was a group of fighters working to destabilize and destroy the government structure of the Commonwealth in an attempt to bring about a new age of freedom and prosperity. Unfortunately for the Central Resistance their fight often receives little support and their message often falls on deaf ears since the Commonwealth is a free society under the current dictator. The Central Resistance message: Your freedom will only last until the next dictator is chosen. Their point being that the next dictator will likely not be so benevolent and the freedoms you now enjoy will likely evaporate. Change now will ensure continued freedom in the future.
Due to Commonwealth news reports that regularly appeared in video casts during the early stages of The Central Resistances movement Brandi began to see them as a destabilizing force to the peace, stability, and the freedoms she, her family, and her friends cherished under the Commonwealth. Some of her friends and family, serving in the Commonwealth Corps, had been hurt or killed. As a result, Brandi decided that, upon reaching the age of 18, she would join the Corps in order to protect her friends, family, and love ones from the Central Resistance who she felt would do them harm. At the Corps Academy Brandi excelled at everything she set out to accomplish. She worked hard as she was determined to be the best at her chosen career path. Brandi had proven herself effective at small unit tactics during her time at the academy. Upon graduating at the top of her class she was assigned to the Commonwealth special forces aboard the Dimensional Cruiser Vindicator. Despite her determined nature, Brandi was usually very easy going and got along well with both her fellow Opec Ops squad and superiors. It was at this time Brandi met and worked with Commander Cody early during the formation of his elite mercenary team.
At the time of first meeting the team consisted of: Captain Tanya Sedaya, Commander Cody and Ming, Xiaohui. Commander Cody and Brandi became fast friends and formed a close personal bond.
Because of the fact that Brandi worked well with her fellow squad members and superiors, along with her proven leadership abilities, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and given command of her own squad. She was thrilled with, and openly embraced, the opportunity to Command her own team.
“Captain…..Commander, operation phases I and II report some heavy resistance, but the Korathan rebellion was unprepared for our attack and sustained firepower. Their defenses are beginning to crumble. However, reports indicate we should still expect a significant Korathan presence when we arrive."

Reading the lines in your normally accent is fine. It isn't necessary to deliver them with an English accent.....unless you really want to.....or you normal accent is English. :)
The Commander says noticing the familiar coffee bag sitting next to the coffee pot.
Tanya says holding up the high level contractor pass Deck Officer Kon had given her the previous day when he handed out access passes to the MRU team.
A holographic projection appears from the conference room table. The planet Devaron can be seen along with a number of Korathan military ships.
Captain Andron is a seasoned veteran of the Antarian Military. He's direct and to the point, but does appreciate a little humor as well.
“Commander Jerak has already briefed you on the details of your mission and you’ve had time to form your own individual plans as to how you’ll proceed with your contract operations so I won’t go into further detail on the nature of your mission other than to give you the standard Antarian operational warning that what we discuss here is to be shared with no one under penalty of death. Now, with that out of the way, what you’re seeing is a general overview demonstrating our approach to Devaron. The offensive will be carried out in 3 waves with each successive wave engaging at a different attack vector around the planet.”

to get an idea of what things will look like for episode 2. During the scene in the hangar bay of the large starship you can occasionally hear a background voice. This is similar to what the voice will sound like for episode 2.
This is a voice that will be heard over loudspeakers in the hangar bay of the large starship Vanguard.
“T-minus 5 minutes to arrival."
“…..all squadrons launch!”
This General is the overall leader of the naval space forces charged with the defense of the world known as Devaron. He's a seasoned veteran in the the Korathan Rebellion. He's no nonsense, stern, direct and to the point.
“How many ships do we have there?”
“Now Lieutenant! And send word to Captain Tarnith of the Asuko. We have something to discuss.”
This Lieutenant serves under the the General, overall leader of the naval space forces charged with the defense of the world known as Devaron. The Lieutenant is young and eager to serve. He focuses on his duty to provide accurate information to the General and does his best to make sure the cause he believes in succeeds.
“From the looks of it, not enough to defend against what they’re facing."
