The Midnight Terror Podcast

The Midnight Terror Podcast

Project Overview

The Midnight Terror Podcast is an original podcast series that will consist of horror story readings done by a full cast, as well as an original overarching story told through a series of "found" audio logs.

What am I looking for? Well I'm glad you asked! Currently, I'm looking for a decently sized cast of voice actors, consisting of about 20 to 30 people, as well as any behind the scenes jobs, such as editors, story finders, composers, and artists, (the artists would be for both episode thumbnails and the podcast image itself.)

What are the requirements for auditioning? I'm not to strict, but I still have a few basic rules.

  1. For VAs:

Be over 16. This is going to be graphic in nature, it's better to not have 13 year olds reading about murder and such.

Have a good microphone. If you have any background noise, redo your audition.

Be accessible. If you don't have a Skype now, get one, be able to answer DMs, be on during calls.

  1. For editors

Have experience. You're the most important part of the series, if you're learning, make sure you have a bit of experience before submitting an auditions

Be swift. We have deadlines to meet, if you're not available to edit, tell me before I assign you the job.

Have a portfolio. Nothings worse than an editor who claims to be good, but can't show it.

  1. For artists and composers

See above.

  1. For storyfinders

Keep up to date with the podcast. This is just to make sure you don't find stories that we've already read.

Have a good knowledge of the various horror genres. If I'm looking for a slasher story, I want you to know what defines that genre.

I plan to release episodes once every two weeks, so all members will need to be very active if I want to meet deadlines. Production of episode one will start as soon as casting is done.

For editors, artists, and storyfinders, you will not need to audition on this casting, you will need to PM me with either some examples of your work.

PLEASE READ THESE RULES IF YOU'RE GOING TO AUDITION

The voice actors are going to be the ones providing voices to the series, both in the way of the stories that will be read, and the original story that will accompany it.  Slate your audition. This means say your name and the story you're reading. Keep your audition between one to three minutes long. Also, show that you can do multiple unique character voices. A lot of voice actors will be brought on, so if you audition, there's a pretty high chance you'll get casted.

  • Read a section of a horror story or creepypasta.

The composers of this series will be the ones behind the haunting music that accompanies the stories. The music you submit should be chilling, scary. Keep the piece between one to three minutes.

  • Submit an original piece of music that you've done.
