The Legend of Zelda: Couple of the Wild | Season 2

Project Overview

Synopsis: This is the second season to my Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild inspired video series on YouTube. It takes place between the events of BotW and TotK, telling the story of how Link and Zelda's relationship progressed while the Kingdom of Hyrule is now being rebuilt, all in visual novel format. It's an episodic, visual novel styled audio drama with a complete Season 1 already made with 15 full episodes.

Goal: We will be turning this story into an audio drama on YouTube, with sound effects, music, occasional fan art, and of course: voice acting. A schedule has been created, we plan to post a video every month, but do understand people have lives. While this is a for fun project, many use the audio dramas I make for resumes and portfolios.

Audition Lines:

  • As you will see below, the audition lines are long. These are long by design! Our stories and videos are long, and require you to really get into character, stay in character, and read a lot of lines! This is great practice for those who want to prepare for character reading!

Cast:

  • There will be 6 characters open, with the most important roles being the Zora Royal Family... and there will be secondary and background with fewer lines but appear a lot. Background characters are super important!

  • There will be many many one off characters, so background VA's are welcome.

Scripts:

  • Scripts are written and given in a timely manner. Multiple chapters are already written, as the story is already complete. Script's are already being used for recording. Usually these can be found in a google document in a drive I give to the cast.

Schedule:

  • We plan to release 1 video a month, however, we also plan to do some recording and editing before we begin uploads. The main cast, such as Link and Zelda, are already in the process of recording.

This project is 18+, not because its super smutty or mature, but mainly because we feel more comfortable working with adults.

  • Announcing the Cast Tomorrow!

    I will be announcing the picks on 03/112026 in the afternoon/evening! Make sure to keep an eye out!

    Remember, even if you don't get a specific role, I ALWAYS need background, or I will have other characters I might want to assign people to. I have a few people in mind that I want for other roles, even if they didn't get one of these current roles.

    Now, I can't take EVERYONE, but if you would like to join my little studio to cover background, stay updated with first dibs roles, or are okay with me reaching out to specifically ask you to join, leave a comment with either your discord and a blurb saying its okay to message, or message me on casting call in dm's and let me know! I'll probably reach out anyway if I want you regardless, but this will make it easier for me!

  • Making Decisions!

    Thank you all so much for auditioning! We got 159 auditions! What a new record, jeez. That is crazy! I have a lot to go through. Keep an eye out! Over the next few days, I will be making some very tough decisions! I will still leave feedback on those who asked for it to give them my tips for next rounds, even if not chosen. Keep an eye out!

  • Halfway Point Update!

    I see lots of auditions, let's go! I'm so excited to listen through to all of these~! For those who were here during the Dance With Me audition, you know what's coming!

    At the halfway mark of audition times, I offer up my advice to those who would like it! I like giving my two cents to auditioners to help those who want to adjust and put in a second audition. However, I understand that some people want feedback, and others would rather prefer they didn't get any.

    So, if you would like feedback, comment under your audition and let me know, that way I know I have consent to give you advice! Some already have let me know, so if you would like advice also, say it!

The Prince of the Zora. He is an energetic and charismatic Zora, large as a moblin, yet somehow so gentle he doesn’t accidentally harm anyone around him. Though energetic and a little bull-headed, he is still responsible and strategic, coming up with quick but effective plans to support those with a smile. He’s a perfect balance of natural overbearingness and calm importance, each side appearing depending on the situation that demands them.

Mipha is the Princess of the Zora, a Zora much smaller than most of her kind, yet formidable with a spear. Though usually soft spoken and a little quiet, she does have presence when need be, only seemingly losing the ability to summon that presence around Link. She tends to bring her stronger presence up around Sidon, doing her best to be a role model. Though she’s usually gentle, she does have a slight petty side, usually when it comes to Link, believing she knows and understands him best, even when not always the case.

Dorephan is the King of the Zora, the largest and heaviest of them all. He is a kind king, calm and gentle in nature despite his booming voice, but when repeatedly challenged or disrespected, it becomes very clear who is in charge when Dorephan sits up and demands respect, using that deep, booming voice to his advantage. Thanks to his voice, his laugh is low and heavy, full of life. Despite his size, Dorephan is not one to be lazy. He is a figurehead of kind and loving strength, a Zora who will do what he can for his people without hesitation. 

Voice details: Review King Dorephan’s game voice lines, though I would not mind if you gave him a tad bit more energy! I do think the original made him speak too slow, but don’t take it overboard!

Muzu is the head of the Zora Council, a figure of presence despite his frail size. He is one of the eldest Zora in the domain, a Zora who finds their race ever so slightly superior to other races, with a slightly extra prejudice towards Hylians, finding them bull-headed, foolish, and greedy. All in all, he is a stubborn, very old man with a slight elitist problem. Despite these frustrations with the Hylians and the occasional unintelligent fool, he usually is skilled at hiding these, usually keeping a very professional, high standing councilman persona, that persona breaking when it comes to the loss of Mipha.


While Muzu doesn’t have any voice lines, he does have sound effects and gasps, all of which sound a bit higher pitched and raspy with age. His voice is up to interpretation, but I personally see his voice as this, with a noticeably clear speaking voice to accentuate his status. While I want higher pitched, I don’t want ear splitting high. I want a slightly higher pitch with a gruffness in the back of his throat from age. Maybe his voice gets higher the angrier he gets?

It may be a solution, but it is a dangerous one, almost as dangerous as trying to stall the Divine Beast itself.That tall mountain over yonder… That is Ploymus Mountain, and it is there you will also find Shatterback Point. That is where your shock arrows await you.

Kodah is the very proud owner of the Seabed Inn. She is a very kind and caring owner, with a tad bit more energy than most. She’s very excitable, reminiscing a lot about her younger days in the domain when Link is around, and always finds the joy or bright side of things. Though she’s an energetic tom boy type, she does have a motherly side, especially given she does have a young child. She has mastered the customer service greeting voice, yet tones it down when it is someone she's comfortable with. Despite being service, her smile is always genuine, for she loves her job and her inn.


Kodah doesn’t have any actual speaking lines in the game! She is up for interpretation. I personally see her in the higher range and tone, with that “customer service voice.” Though she runs an inn, she is still considered a ‘younger’ Zora, so an early ‘twenties’ sounding voice. She’s a new mother, but the mother that somehow has everything under control with energy to spare! She has a smile in her voice that is genuine, but that undertone of motherly care, which makes her customer service that much more genuine. I do want her to have a slight british accent, not heavy, but slight, for she is a younger generation of Zora, but was still around during the proper days of the kingdom.

    (This scene, Kodah is telling Zelda about her young love with Link. She’s almost over exaggeratingly passionate, in a teasing sort of way because she knows Zelda cares about this story, despite acting Link she doesn’t. It’s a kind, gentle tease, not a malicious one.)

    (This is a continuation of the scene above, having changed from teasing to giving Zelda some insight to Link’s personal emotions when not around Zelda (Hylian Royalty).   • Line 1: (Fun. Teasing. Nostalgic.) || It’s amazing how far a young fry’s mind can travel when her heart beats strong! Many Zora had an interest in Link. He was fun and caring, yet strong and so protective. And when he became a Champion? Who in the domain wouldn’t have been? I can’t imagine how many Hylian’s had eyes for him if even we Zora were fawning over him. I even had the strange idea in my mind that Linny had been two-timing me with Lady Mipha. To womanize not just myself, but the Zora princess! So scandalous. I couldn’t believe it.

  • Line 2: (Calmer. Helpful. Genuine.) || Linny is an unreadable wall when he wants to be. It’s a gift of his. Even Lady Mipha could barely read him. She’d claim she could, but she would say one thing and then he’d do another. Unfortunately, they spent a lot of private time together as well, and after receiving my non-answer, I tried not to pay all too close attention to Linny until I got a bit older, but by then, he and Lady Mipha had fully committed to their Champion duties. I never got to fully repair my friendship with him.

You won’t find any better place to spend your evenings, especially if you choose to sleep on our special made water beds for only twenty rupees more! Kayden is the assistant and husband to Kodah, who runs the Seabed Inn in Zora’s Domain. He’s a gentle soul, happy to be married and helping his wife with her aspirations of raising the Seabed Inn’s popularity amongst Hylians to get more business. While he isn’t quiet by any means, he’s definitely not as boisterous as his wife. He is certainly the side character to her main character, so to speak.


Kayden doesn’t have a particular voice, nor any special sound effects in game. He is up for interpretation based on his description. I personally see him as a softer voiced, proper gentleman, though without the haughtiness. He has a slight british accent since he’s a hundred years old and from pre-calamity era, but he is younger and of the newer generation, so the accent doesn’t need to be very prevalent.

He is still sure Link will understand, he doesn’t expect Link to get mad at him.)
