The Last Ronin TMNT Comic Dub
Project Overview
This is a fandub for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic The Last Ronin. Starting with Issue 1 and going through Issue 5. There is ONE twist though: I'm going for a 2003 TMNT atmosphere both in voices and music! I'm planning to give this the same kind of atmosphere as The Same As it Never Was episodes (or perhaps the same feel as the MNT Gaiden Fan comics) (Links to the sources below).
RULES/REQUIREMENTS:
1) Have a good quality mic or at least do noise reduction for your audition. I understand not everyone is going to have a RODE mic or something else high end, but having something where I can at least tell what your saying is a DEFINITE must (link for how to do noise reduction in Audacity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10FFKl_0GSA
2) LEAVE YOUR DISCORD WITH YOUR AUDITION. If you don't have a Discord then I at least need a way to contact you, otherwise I'll just DM you on Casting Call Club which is also fine.
3) Have fun! (also take a gander at the source material links, it'll give you an idea of what I'm going for and also MNT Gaiden is AMAZING)

Also a quick side update! If you've been cast for a role and want to try for another, GO FOR IT! Definitely not opposed to giving people multiple roles if they fit them!

NEW ROLES
Donatello Hamato was added to the cast list for the project so feel free to audition! More roles are on the way and will be added in the coming days (namely Splinter, Karai, Casey Jones, Foot Robots, and Professor Honeycut) so stay tuned! Hoping to get this project rolling soon!
THE last Ronin. Michelangelo is FAR from a party dude for a majority of this comic. He's dark, brooding, and has a chip on his shoulder. A lot like his character in the 2003 3-part episode Same As it Never Was (see link in description). Definitely try to see if you can mask the Michelangelo-ness in the voice for the first line.

(sneaking through the water outside of New York, narrating)
"The water is cold. Like ice. Smells...wrong too. Tastes worse I guess after decades of pollution and global warming, it's all kinds of nasty. Definitely not fit for human survival. That's okay. I'm not human. And I've got plenty of my own nasty."
(Blowing up at the ghost of Raphael. Almost mournful of his situation and that his family isn't there anymore)
"You stupid, pathetic FOOL! You always make our entire life all about you! I fought every battle you have--even the idiotic ones you started! And you still wanna judge me!? You knew what my mission was in the tower! A one-way ticket from the start! For our father, for our family, for our...honor..."
(training Casey, sparring in between comments)
"*after receiving a light kick* White belt quality kick...Hm. Okay...Maybe Yellow Belt...Nice push. Got anything to back it up?"
Casey: " I'll show you!"
"Show me what?...How to miss your opponent again? Back to square one."
Michelangelo's ONLY surviving ally. She tries to be the lighthearted one of the bunch, seeing as how pretty much everyone else around her is always brooding due to their situation. She takes after her 2003 counterpart in her technological and scientific proficiency.
Voice references:
(playful and sorrowful, talking to Casey's mask, being the only thing left of him, after dropping her prosthetic leg)
"Hey...Casey...A little help here?"
(trying to keep it together, helping Donatello treat Splinter's wound)
"Donnie, help me cut the clothing away and clear all this blood."
"Snap out of it! We need to find which wound's the most dangerous. Focus!"
(Observing Michelangelo for the first time in years)
"Well, I'm no Donatello, but it doesn't take a genius to see your mutation has progressed over the years. You're bigger...stronger. And you're healing amazingly fast."
The daughter of Casey Jones and April O'Neil. She's hotheaded and courageous like her father, and has a great interest in the Turtles and their techniques.
There aren't any references for this voice so go with your gut on this one!
Though this isn't a requirement, I'm kind of thinking something like Carrie Kelly (the fifth Robin):
(Officially meeting Michelangelo for the first time)
"We kinda already met. You were a lot less conscious and a lot more bloody at the time. This is so weird. I've been hearin' about you turtles all my life, but I never thought I'd get to meet one of you for real. I obviously got that all wrong huh?"
(talking to Michelangelo about his family's weapons, touching the subject of Michelangelo almost committing seppuku)
"Sure. Once I saw what...er...who you were, I didn't want to leave anything behind...considerin' what you were about to do. I understand why, you know. The honor of it."
(Frustrated. Training with Michelangelo)
"Hey, I got skills! Never had some ninja master to show me nothin' and I still kick ass all over the city!"
The ghosts of the fallen turtles. This role is only going to be active for the first episode, because the point of how they are portrayed in the first issue is to make it a mystery of who the "last Ronin" really is.
(Observing new New York and referring to Michelangelo's plan)
"What? were you expecting a leisurely stroll the whole way or somethin'?"
"And we thought the lower East side was overcrowded before."
(critiquing Michelangelo's plan to get into Foot Clan HQ)
"How, tough guy? Grab a cab? That's a long-ass jump, and a mutant packed head to toe with weapons don't exactly blend in."
The main antagonist of the comic and the newest heir to the Oroku clan.
No reference for his voice so go with your gut! Not sure if I'd prefer a Japanese accent or not feel free to do multiple takes leaning either way.
(Annoyed that Michelangelo is disrupting his utopia)
"Am I mistaken, Captain Ikusa, or is there some kind of disturbance currently taking place in the middle district?"
(Disgusted that Michelangelo would ever think he would fight him one-on-one)
"You actually believe I'd soil my own hands with your filth? I am master here. Master of all. Others do my every bidding. Still...I thought I'd killed off you pathetic mutants before- A mistake I will not make twice."
(Training with foot ninjas, frustrated)
(EDIT: Hiroto has just recently seen that not all of the turtles died, though he thinks Michelangelo to be dead now, the one slip-up weighs heavy on him and the frustration carries over into his training)
"What is wrong with you!? I said, show me a decent fight! Kill me, cowards...or I will have you killed!"
Extra voices. Going to cast multiple people for this role. Feel free to use your demo reel if you'd like!
(Civilian. Seeing Michelangelo and freaking out)
"Is that...A human inside that armor?"
"Looks like some kind of cyborg, I think more synthetic than human!"
(Foot Robot. monotonous)
"Halt! Intruder."
(Resistance Soldier)
"We have rafts with cloaking devices to get the squads in position on the island's shoreline completely unseen."
The eldest and most responsible of the Hamato Turtle brothers. Leonardo and the other turtle brothers are not far off from what we know and love in terms of personality. They behave the same. The only difference is, well, they're dead.

(relaying information about fighting the Foot to Raph)
"Stand down Raph. We're good for now. I turned the last of them back in the subway. Look like they might be running towards the East side...the Docks maybe."
(referring to Baxter Stockman's droids)
"What the Hell are those things? They can't be human."
(mid-fight, getting overwhelmed)
"Casey, about that backup? HURRY!!"
The hothead of the group. Raph in this comic is just about how you'd expect: heavy advocate for violence and thinks even one sentence is too much talking.
Voice reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TBU4FfrEIc
(getting angrier, about tp go out to fight Foot ninjas with Casey. The Foot put Splinter in critical condition)
"Damn straight. It's 'body count time!' Every damn foot in this city's 'bout to find out how big a mistake they made tonight."
(interrogating a Foot ninja)
"Where is she!? WHERE'S KARAI!?"
(Fighting through a horde of Foot ninjas)
"Sendin' these wimps to do your dirty work, huh, Karai!? You already made that mistake once tonight! You ambushed my family! Killed my father! Only one way this ends! So stop hidin' behind these scrubs and we'll finish this once and for all!"
(agreeing with Donatello, referring to Casey Marie Jones fighting the Foot)
"And she ain't a mutant, bro. She's just a kid. Casey and April's kid."
The brains of the group! Donatello is a lot more soft spoken and tech savvy than his brothers and father. Despite his level headed nature, his world suddenly falling apart is definitely shown to have an affect on him.
Voice reference:
(unsure of what to do. Splinter is bleeding out on the table and April is relying on Donatello for help trying to stabilize him. Donatello is overwhelmed, Almost in a daze.)
"I...I...I don't know where to start..."
*April (for reference): "Snap out of it! We need to find which wound's the most dangerous! Focus!"
"Yeah...okay...sorry...I'm good."
(a general line from the 2003 series. Michelangelo is bugging him about building the "Battle Shell" and Donnie has too much on his plate at the moment.)
*Michelangelo (for reference): "We should be tricking out the armored car!"
"By 'we,' you mean 'me.' And I don't have the time. There's too much to do around here. Besides, where would we keep the thing."
(Desperately trying to protect Splinter. In pain as several arrows have just pierced his skin. This is the moment of Donatello's death.)
"Father! Behind me! AAAGH!"
