The Last Beer Short
Project Overview
I'll be making a short 3D animated sci fi short film and I'm looking for voice actors for a few characters and a narrator. This is the first time hiring anyone on here so I'm hoping for feedback too on what you're given or what you think is the usual standard so I can make it easier for future people I hire. I'm not offering money because this is the first time I'm trying it and it's all very experimental. I'll be uploading the video to Youtube and will credit the voice actors. The script is finished and I am open to changes if you need because I am open to collaborate on this as I'm still getting confidence with my writing. I would hope to hire people from this project in the future.
To give an indication on the visuals possible in the show here is a link to a previous work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVuX5mSTXGM
Voice acting was done by me very improvised and even though the process was fun I believe I can add much more working with more experienced voice actors.

Older man, has been travelling in an apocalyptic work, nostalgic of past life, loves his son, has no wife or other family, passionate about beer
Oh my lordy! I forgot one of the greatest things that ever did exist. Beer! Beer. It'd warm your heart and loosen your tongue. The good ol' social lubricant. The backbone of society. A taste you'd crave after a hard days work on a hot summers day.
Yes.. oh how this place reminds me of all those wonderful things we had back then. We'd play with little plastic water pistols, headphones would be connected to our phones with a cable.
Rough, oblivious to dangers of world. about 17-25, loves father, intelligent
(confused)
Where are we, dad?
(Solemn)
Father, here. For you. You remember? Beer...
Narrative voice. Is actually the beer the whole time.
The last beer sits alone in an old vending machine. Silence surrounds it while it lay untouched for countless years until an old man's voice cleared the air.
The old one attempted to extract the beer from its metallic sanctuary but they lacked the ancient round keys to release it. Living in a cashless society, coins were made obsolete and were turned into washers. This made them too light to activate the inner workings of the machine and release the cold treasure inside.
I was finally free! Out I popped from my prison! The young boy placed me into the old man's dying hands.
Mmm, Crrt Crrt! Faces of burgundy and green flow spirals inside my mannequin eyes. When you place your mind inside the television does it also keep track of your viewing time and create a psychoanalysis of your subconscious so that it can see more fast food, don't you? Of course you do! You must be one of them! Come take me away have you?!
Oh yes! I should have one two three but no coin without trade. Must get value somehow. This book I have, made by an immortal Australian wizard yes, but I am missing the special glasses that came with it. Can you travel over the river, you may use my boat and then to the Hamo pub where there is a man called Dale, creator of the book. He will give glasses. Get those for me I'll gladly give coins.
