The Hero’s Love Story (Gacha)
Project Overview
EDIT: I’ve actually (and surprisingly since I didn’t expect this project to launch off so quickly) gotten a lot of really good auditions so far, so I’m going to close the deadline a little sooner than expected and take everything into consideration.
The Hero’s Love Story is a fantasy world Gacha project that will be on YouTube. It’ll feature the life of Gavin, a fellow warrior who‘s struggling to find out what love means to him.
NOTE: This story will contain LGBT+ content.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. You must have Discord and you must be active with replying to messages. Feel free to list your Discord username in your audition.
2. If I do not hear from you in a week or two without warning, then you’ll be cut and I’ll have to recast. It’s okay if you’re busy, but at least let me know that you are first.
3. In other words, PLEASE STAY DEDICATED. Especially since this is a paid project.
4. Please have a decent mic and little to no background noise.
5. Payment will only be transferred through Venmo or PayPal. The details of the transaction will be dealt with privately. All payment will be sent after all the lines from a script have been completed and edited in.
6. It’s not required, but it’d help boost your chances of getting the role more if a line is repeated more than once. For example, three different takes for one line would be perfect.
7. Feel free to audition for more than one role if you’re capable of it and want to.

Gavin is the leader of the group, or at least he is in title. He’s a confident and bold young man. He’s a bit impulsive and can be cocky at times, he does think highly of himself, but he means well. He’s funny, charismatic, and knows how to enjoy life in the moment. However, he’s also naive when it comes to anything that doesn’t deal with fighting and can lack common sense at times.
NOTE: Since Gavin has the most lines, he has the most pay for his role.
(Speak in a confident and charming tone.) Hey there, the name’s Gavin, and I’m the protagonist of the story!
I mean, yeah. I am the hero. And the hero always gets the girl, right? So, of course I like Melody! After all, she’s like a princess, and that’s perfect for me.
(Speak in a loving tone.) Yeah, Eric’s great! Sure, he can come off as cold at first, but once you get to know him, he’s pretty cool. He’s hella strong, I mean you’d have to be if you’re an archer, and he’s got steel guts too.
And, well, I’m surprised he doesn’t have a girl by now because y’know, hypothetically speaking, if I were a girl, I’d date the living shit out of him... No homo though!
Eric is like the vice-president and archer of the group, and he also helps Gavin with his leadership role. He may be a young man, but with his sarcastic personality, he’ll sometimes act like a cranky old geezer. For the most part, he has a little bit of a deep and flat monotone when speaking. Like almost every word that comes out of his mouth is a drag for him to say.
He finds a lot of things about the world annoying and is quite the pessimist.
NOTE: I might prefer someone with a British accent for this role, but it’s not required.
(Speak in an irritated tone.) No, Ryder, for the last time, you can’t have my extra bread— and you fucking took it anyway. Fatass.
(Speak in a cold and angry tone.) Of course she’d be mad at you. You can’t just put her on the sidelines like that, Gavin. She’s your girlfriend, for fuck’s sake. I know you’re kind of a dumbass when it comes to romance, but even you should know better than to just shrug off your anniversary with her like that.
(Speak in a sad and defeated tone.) It doesn’t matter if I have feelings for Gavin or not.
Melody is like the sweet maiden and healer of the group. She’s kind, caring, and speaks in a gentle yet somewhat high-pitched voice. Since she came from royalty, she also strives to be the perfect princess and wife someday.
Deep down inside her, she’s also got a sassy side that will just come out on occasion. She was raised to be polite and well-mannered, so she tries to not let any savage remarks come out from her mouth, but sometimes it can’t be helped.
NOTE: I might prefer someone with a British accent for this role, but it’s not required.
(Speak in a worried and panicked tone.) Oh, Stephanie, you’re bleeding! Here, let me heal you!
(Speak in a relaxed and happy tone.) Ah, why hello, Eric. Do you need something?
(Speak in a resigned tone.) I really like Gavin, but I think I‘m having doubts about our relationship. Even though we’ve been dating for almost a year, we haven’t really, um, done much as a couple.
(Suddenly speak in an honest tone.) If I’m being honest, I think Gavin might be gay.
Bernard is like the dark mage of the group and the ultimate edgelord. He’s a lone werewolf that was raised to by a coven of witches, and he’s only recently started learning more about the world outside of his occult lair. He speaks in a dark, deep, and rough voice.
He‘s currently learning how to socialize and make friends, since he‘s never spoken to anyone that wasn’t part of the witch coven that raised him until he found the group.
(Speak in a bored and annoyed tone.) It was a waste of time to come here. I could be perfecting the dark arts of my magic by now instead of... what do you call this? Fishing?
The emotional affairs of my comrades does not concern me. If one of us is gay or whatever else, then so be it. Back in my coven, it wasn’t uncommon to see some of the witches together as a couple. Sexuality does not matter in the dark realm.
(Sigh.) Ryder is like a child that I’ve been obligated to babysit for all of eternity. Though, I suppose it can’t be helped. It’s difficult to fathom how he’s been able to survive this long by himself.
Ryder just likes to eat.
That’s it.
Kidding. In all seriousness though, Ryder is the spearman of the group. Though he may pout and whine like a child, and he’s also quite the dramatic and energetic attention-seeker, he’s actually really smart when it comes to strategy.
He’s also pretty keen on reading how people are feeling and has great observation skills. He knows a lot more than he lets on.
(Whining.) Aww, but Bernard, I’m hungryyyy!
(Annoying and hyper.) Hey, hey! Hey, hey, hey! Stephanie! Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie! Guess what?
...I’m bored.
(Speak in a serious I’m-gonna-set-you-straight tone.) C’mon, let’s be real here, Gavin. Do you really like Melody or do you like her because that’s what you think you have to do?
Stephanie may not look like it, but she’s the tough gal and muscle of the group. She’s a sporty tomboy to the core and swears quite a lot. She can be pretty crude, and she’s also got a hot temper to match her foul mouth. She loves showing off and can come off as arrogant at times. In the end, she doesn’t really mean any harm, she’s just a bit rough around the edges is all.
NOTE: I might prefer someone with a Scottish, Welsh, Australian, British, or perhaps even a North American southern accent to voice Stephanie, but it’s not required to have one.
(Annoyed.) What, Ryder?! What do you want now, asshole?
(Laughing.) AHAHA! Fuck yeah! None of you dickwads got nothing on these guns!
(She has just won an arm wrestling match against all the boys and is boasting about it.)
C’mon, Mr. Emo, fish is good for the soul! I would know, I was raised overseas in a ship for most of my childhood! Sometimes I feel landsick and just like to be near the water, know what I mean?
