Project Overview
What's up, yall! Thank you for taking time to look over this project I've decided to work on. No need to stress too much since this is just a casual project that I'm basically working on entirely by myself for fun. Sadly, I am broke as hell and won't be able to provide any compensation at the moment. Hopefully, it still interests you enough to give it a chance. I'll give a bit of info on it:
Da Doghouse is an indie animated comedy Reality TV competition, inspired by Total Drama Island and Big Brother, where 12 canine contestants compete in intense themed challenges and endure wacky punishments to win a cash prize of half a million dollars!
Here are some things to keep in mind, as well as some stuff I'll be looking for when going through auditions when deciding who gets the role:
All VAs must be 18+.
Have 2 takes of each line in an AABBCC format, with the first take being read as is. For the second take, improv is encouraged.
Have good mic quality and keep background noise to a minimum. Try avoiding using headphone mics, cellphones, or webcam mics to record lines. Broadcast mics and USB mics preferred.
Lines will be sent over Discord, so please provide a Discord username. (You can provide any additional social media if you want, but Discord will be the main source of communication.)
Honestly, just have fun with the role. The main things I'm looking for is good delivery, expressiveness and comedic timing. If you can stand out or make me laugh, then there's a higher chance you'll be selected for a role.
This is a bit of a fast paced series, so keep that in mind when recording. Try not to perform too slowly. (Similar pacing to the Total Drama Island 2023/2024 reboot.)
You can audition for as many roles as you want. There may be a chance that you get casted for multiple roles.
Keep in mind that a lot of these roles will contain swearing, so if you aren't comfortable with that then I wouldn't suggest auditioning.
I will start considering roles after January 1, 2026. However, this won't be a hard deadline for auditioning. You can still audition after that period if a role hasn't been chosen yet.
If you get a role, try not to get cancelled or anything like that, lmao. Just be respectful online and when interacting with others.

Whatโs up! Iโm Jasper and Iโm a pretty fit guy, if you couldnโt tell. Iโve ran in 13 marathons across my life, was an all-star on all of my collegeโs sports teams, and even took 3 years of ballet. Iโve done it all, really!
