The Deltarune fandub project!
Project Overview
Hello, and welcome to the Deltarune chapter 1 fandub project!
From a young age, I've always loved Undertale, so when Deltarune came out, you could just picture my joy. But one thing about the game is the fact that the characters never, ever, talk. That can be seen as a loss by some, but to me, and I'm sure many others, it can be a win. This gives us creative freedom to give these voiceless characters an image of our own. With that being said, it's important to note that this is a complete FAN PROJECT. Toby Fox is in no way a part of this, other than the fact that he made this amazing game.
If you like a character and think you can do a good voice for them, don't be afraid to audition! And if you want to help edit the video together, feel free to offer! It'd get the job done faster and be a big help to me, <3. Plus, with how many characters they are, you could even audition for multiple roles. Since the game has no set voices, you can get as creative as you want! But, there are some requirements for voicing them...
REQUIREMENTS
- Please have clean-sounding audio. I understand that microphones are costly, and not everyone can get their hands on one, but try to avoid using phone microphones, or having any sort of noises going on in the background. Get your audio to be as clean as it possibly can! It will make the viewing of the voice dub more enjoyable~
- Please do your best to be active if/when you join the fandub. It would be very hard to create one with our VAs just ghosting us or disappearing for a long time. If you decide to leave, please tell me, and we can replace your role.
- Discord will be what we use to discuss this project, so please sign up for it if you haven't already, and leave your discord user in your audition so I'm able to contact you about your role(s).
- Remember, we aren't looking for professional voice actors/actresses with years of practice. This is for fun and to get people out there in the voice-acting world!
DEADLINES
There won't be a deadline for this project or for any of the auditions. I'm not in a rush, so you won't have to be either! Send in your auditions once you are happy with what you have.
In case you are wondering, this is the video that will be voice dubbed. I got permission from Lazy Blue to use it and edit it as long as they are credited. They make really good gameplay videos, so check them out!

You pretty much help out with the editing of the video. Shortening parts down, putting the audio over the lines- It's a lot of work for one person, so I can! use all the help I could get!
Say something you think would fit
The voice is the one speaking at the very start of the game. They ask you, the player if you are connected. Their dialogue is typed slower than all others, implying they talk slower than everyone else. A deeper voice might be preferred for this role.

The narrator of the text not being spoken by any character. Can be any gender and have any voice.
You bathed your body in the light. A power shines within you, breaking through the darkness. Any pain you may have had melted away.
Susie, the violet tormentor, is now your ally. The power of mean girls shines within you.
In front of you, a castle looms beneath the empty town. A black geyser emerges from it, piercing endlessly into the sky. The power of this place shines within you.
Toriel is Kris's mother, and is shown to have a caring personality, but is NOT afraid to raise her voice if needed. She's said to be tidy and old-fashioned but also seen to be very judgmental about things, leading to her divorce from Asgore.
Kris, if you do not wake up, we will be late for school! ... I will wait outside for you, alright?
Kris, honey, you have grown up so much... Someday soon you will be going off to university as well...
Kris, what are you doing!? You did not put a bath bomb in the toilet again, did you?
Alphys is Kris's Anime loving teacher, who is often stuttering in all her sentences. She can also be seen as a pushover, or easily scared based on how she reacts when Susie enters class in the start of the game.
So, does everyone have a- Oh... K-Kris...! We thought you weren't coming today! We're doing group projects this month... Uhh... So, just walk around and find a partner, okay?
Noelle, can you PLEASE speak up?
U-uh... Has anyone seen the chalk? This is the third time it's gone missing and... Y-you all know I can't start class without some! ... H-how about this. If no one speaks up... E-everyone gets in trouble! A... Anyone? P...Please?
Noelle is friendly and cheerful, but also very shy and timid around certain people, or when she is embarrassed by others, as seen when Berdly yells over her when she tries asking Alphys if Kris can join their group for the class group project.
Hey, Kris! What's up? Didja lose your pencil again? Here, you want the candy-cane one or the one with lights on it?
Miss Alphys! Uhm, is it OK if we have a group of 3?

Berdly is very sarcastic and is shown at first as your everyday "Know-it-all" type character. He believes himself to be one of the smartest students and completely rejects Kris being a part of his and Noelle's group project.
Hey! What? No! I do NOT approve of this! ABORT!!!
She was just saying we're fine being alone!
Kris! You survived Susie! I was getting worried! ... Now you can finally pay off your family debt.
Susie is seen as being rude, sarcastic, and having no sympathy toward the people around her. She follows her teammates at a distance until realizing how much she cares about them all, and slowly starts getting more energetic and happier around her friends

L...Lancer... You... You... You wanted to get rid of us...? ... I thought we were a team.
Ralsei is a very sweet and humble character, who teaches Kris how to ACT, FIGHT, SPARE, and more in battles. He's always trying to avoid violence and gets disappointed in Kris and Susie if they act rude to others. One flaw he has is being so easily trusting of others, although his bravery makes up for it.
Welcome. I am the Prince of this Kingdom... The kingdom of Darkness. Kris, Susie... There is a legend in this land. A legend that one day, two heroes of light will arrive, and fulfill the ancient prophecy, foretold by time and space. Please, heroes... Listen to my tale...
Huh...? Kris, you'd rather hug it out than fight? ... You know what, that's fine! We don't need to fight!
What's all that green stuff around your mouth? ... 2 minutes in jail and you've already started eating moss. You even put on prison shackles, so um... You look like a prisoner for life! Haha!
Lancer is the 'bad guy' of chapter one. He's a small, goofball child who wants to impress both his father and Susie. Despite his goofiness, he cares deeply about his friends and will try his best to make sure Susie is okay.

Rudinn is a character who is obsessed with jewels and doesn't seem to care much about their job. They're shown praising the one who pays them, adding onto their love of money.
Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
L-lighters! This girl's with you, r-right? Sh-she's forcing us to fan her! Please get her under control! ... H-huh!? Help! Help me! I don't wanna fan forever!

Top Chef is one of the only characters we have a voice to base off of. He is said to have an Italian accent. He is very emotional and loves his cakes to bits.
Mama miba! I'm Topchef! My latest cake worked me to exhaustion!
Marga riba! That cake! It's seething with power! It's my cake, isn't it!? Did you repair it!? Will you return it!?
Sweet in cake, but not in character! A tragedy!
The field NPCs don't have very much personality to go off of. They're weak, but want to help Kris and friends take down the king and get their freedom back.
Hey. Hey kid... You wanna buy a tutorial? It's only 50 dark dollars.
I'm Ralsei Master. Ask me about Ralsei's. ... Ralsei's spell's called Pacify. Use it on babies before they cry.
I'm TP master. Ask me about TP's. ... TP only lasts, inside a fight. Once you win, it's out of sight.
Seam is shown to be full of despair, having no hope after something that happened to his close friend. He seems cynical, believing nothing will change the future.
Around here, you learn to find ways to pass the time... Or go mad like everyone else.
The name's Seam. Pronounced "Shawm." And this is my little Seap. Ha ha ha ha...

Mr. Elegance is another character with a semi-confirmed accent, which is American Western. He likes to call Kris "Horsie".
Woah, there horsie. Ponmen're scary, all'n they're doin' is following the king.

Mr. Society is shown to enjoy bragging about how smart he is, but it's quickly shown how scared and timid he truly is.

Rabbick is an odd character, saying strange and out-of-place things. Rabbick refers to themselves in the third person as both male and female, implying that they can be either.

Clover is a group of triplets, each one having a different personality. If you voice her, be prepared to change up your voice.
The right head is very rude and has a superiority complex.
The middle head is very sweet and cheerful.
The left head is quiet and hardly speaks up, although she seems to never really agree with her sisters.
(Middle) Heyy~! It's my birthday today! (Right) And you didn't even say hello!? (Left) That's fine, actually...
(Middle) Cute ones! Hmm hmm~ (Right) Fluffy, glasses! That's it! (Left) HIM!? ...Err, sure...
(Middle) Aww, he made that! So caring! (Right) It's Soooo cute! I want it! (Left) It's it a bit... boring?
Malius is very passionate about their fixing abilities, and weapons in general. They are loud and kind-hearted, always willing to help Kris out free of charge.

Bloxer is a violent and energetic boxer. They can yell very loudly or be very pleased depending on how you arrange them in battle.

The worm is a soft-spoken and mysterious character who doesn't understand taxes and enjoys eating, although the lack of trees makes it to where Worm has to eat clothes.
Before the King came along, I used to eat leaves from this tree...
I still do that.
Such is the way of the worm...
Rudinn Ranger, unlike their blue counterparts, are loyal and very serious. They obey everything the king says, but they very much enjoy compliments.
The Lightners are approaching the castle...! Get them...!

The pair of eyes found locked up in the cellar. They seem to not enjoy what the world has turned into.

Rouxls is a very egotistical puzzle maker, who believes his puzzles are the best in the land, saying he's the 'Duke of Puzzles'. (We all know Papyrus deserves that title...). He never tries to improve his puzzles in any way, but no matter what, his confidence stays the same. Lancer considers him as his 'Lesser dad'.

The King is shown to be cold-hearted, and has little to no sympathy for his own son, abusing him for his own needs and his subjects. He's power-hungry and a follower of the KNIGHT.

The Blue Blocks tend to add 'O's' to words that don't use that letter, or they put them in words where they don't belong. They don't seem fond of the King and congratulate Kris for their victory.
The King wants to o-liminate Lightners, but... We didn't o-gree with that.

The Royal Coat Rack is a character who is passionate about being a coat hanger and desperately wants to become a useful one again. They don't seem to enjoy the King very much and congratulate Kris on their victory against him.
I used to work at the castle until the king fired all the staff.

The former Kings are the ones that were overthrown by the current King. They beg for freedom, but soon seem okay when they find out that their treasure is safe.
Woe! Oh, Woe! We are the three Former Kings! We beg you, free us!
What ho! What about us!? Aren't we going to be restored as Kings...!?

Jockington is one of Kris's classmates and is shown to have a very cool personality, wearing glasses and a backward cap and paying his respects to Kris in case they don't come back from going alone with Susie. He's very loyal to Catti ever since they were partners in their first gym class.

Undyne is a part of the police force, so she's constantly yelling at people to follow the rules. She respects the law very deeply, even if it seems to bore her and apologizes to the people she unintentionally hurts.

Rudolph is a lighthearted and caring father and uses his sense of humor to lighten dark moods, despite his medical conditions. He is supportive of Noelle and all her decisions and loves playing video games with her.
Noelle, Sweetheart. First time I laid eyes on your mother... I walked right up and told her she was a HOT piece of work.

Sans is the funny skeleton we all know and love. He enjoys making jokes and has the skill to turn anything into a pun. Judging by his text volume, he has a deeper-sounding voice, although you are free to voice him however you wish.

Catty jokes about being Kris's aunt and seems to care about them a lot. She uses 'like' when she talks, suggesting that she might have a 'valley girl' voice.

Asgore is Kris's father. He is loving and wants nothing more than to reconnect with his family, specifically with his ex-wife, Toriel. He is seen as a bit of a goof-ball and loves messing around with his children and friends. One of his favorite things to do is take care of his flowers.
Dum dee dum... Oh? Is someone there? Just a moment! I have almost finished watering these flowers.
Say, Kris... I was thinking. Perhaps when Asriel comes home... We could all go to the diner, just like old times... My treat.
