The Adventure Zone Dub SEASON 2: Murder On the Rockport Limited
Project Overview
ALL ABOARD! THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES!
A little over a year ago, me and a cast of insanely talented voice actors started work dubbing the first graphic novel in The Adventure Zone, known as Here There be Gerblins. As we move into our second season, we have even more characters that need their own unique voices. We'd love to have you on board!

After joining the ranks of the Bureau of Balance, Taako, Magnus, and Merle are tasked with their first mission. They climb aboard the Rockport Limited, the fastest train in the realm, in order to recover a dangerous magical relic known as the Oculus. Unfortunately, someone else aboard the train knows about the relic, and will go to anything length to retrieve for themselves. Even...foul play. It's a D&D murder mystery aboard a magical train, complete with intrigue, suspense, meat monsters, and 3 wildly incompetent sort-of-heroes wildly failing to solve a mystery. FUN TIMES!
REQUIREMENTS FOR AUDITIONING

Decent Audio: Headset mics and lots of background noise will not be accepted. Make sure you're recording with a decent grade microphone( Blue Yeti at a minimum) and clean up your audio. Audio should always be submitted in .wav format -
Be Punctual: Lines should be recorded within the deadline I create. Repeated late entries will be kicked off the project -
Be Open to Live Direction: I'm going to be creating a Discord server for this project, and I would like to be to work with my actors to bring the best of out their performances -
Feel Free to Experiment: Every character has a voice reference that I'm looking for, but don't force yourself into tryng to match each voice. You're an actor, not an impressionist. I would rather you sell me on the emotion of the lines than listen to you try to match the McElroys's portrayal of each character -
Have Fun: Outside of a few basic rules, I want this to be a fun passion project that we can all get into. Go nuts, don't be afraid to get weird, and just try to have a great time!

A young boy, age 10, Angus is on the Rockport Limited to visit his grandfather in Eversummer. While he seems like an unassuming kid at first, it becomes abundantly clear that there is more to him than initial appearances. He is kind, polite, and wildly intelligent beyond his years, armed a keen mind and an outstanding eye for detail.
Angus should have a high, childlike voice, very formal, polite, and at times very elqouent.

[Mildly uncomfortable, keeping an air of politeness] "Thank you for the evangelism, sir, but my grandpa always told me I shouldn't talk to strangers....especially ones who worship Olympian gods."
[Exiting room, cheerful] "If you sirs will excuse me, I came here to read books and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum. Thank you for the good chat."
[Friendly, yet dismissive] "Oh no, sir. I am a hundred percent sure that the three of you don't have the competency required to perform multiple murders without getting caught."

Jenkins is an Elven wizard, and the sole attendant to the passengers of the Rockport LImited. He specializes in teleportation magic, and used his abilities to provide excellent service to each passenger. He tries to keep an amicable and courteous nature, but his composure consistently cracks under constant harassment from Magnus, Merle, and especially Taako. As a result, he's frequently exhausted and annoyed in their presence.
Jenkins is described as having a soft, sensuous, voice, so I'm looking for someone with a medium-low to low range.

[Introducing himself, with a soft and dignified tone] "He's perfectly fine sir, the Rockport Limited is perfectly safe. My name is Jenkins. Your wizard attendant for this trip."
[Amused by a misunderstanding] "Sorry to disappoint, but it's not a sex thing. My soft, sensuous voice makes everything sound salacious. It's a curse."
[Stuggling to keep his composure] "You want me to use...my incredible teleportation magic...to go into the room that is adjacent to the room we're currently in?"

Jess is a world-famous wrestler, travelling on the Rockport Limited to reach her next big match. Armed with her trusty Soulbound ax, she becomes a primary suspect when things start to take a turn for the macabre. She's cheerful and confident, but can be quite irritable and outright aggressive when butting heads with with people she doesn't like.
I'm looking medium to medium-low that exude confidence and occasionally a threatening demeanor.

[Casually explaining her weapon] "Everybody in the Midworld Wrestling Federation has a gimmick. Mine happens to be a magnificent soulbound ax that springs to my side when there's great danger."
[Callous and defensive] "I said 'No.' I'm good. Thank you. I reserve my killing for the ring. I'm not fond of being accused of fucking HOMICIDE!"
[Uncharacteristically pleasant at first, then extremely intimidating] "That sounds like a TON of fun. Tell me: Do you guys like gambling? Good! Everybody place your bets on how far I can throw the cleric!"

Graham is a wizard who dreams of life working on the railroad. He's boarded the Rockport Limited to shadow Jenkins and learn the ins and outs of being an attendant. He has a passion for trains, and is easily excited when the subject comes up. He's generally well-meaning and kind to others, but is easily startled and prone to fainting under particularly terrifying scenarios.
Graham should have a medium to medium-high voice, giving 100% to whatever emotion he's feeling.

Thomas is the concierge of the Rockport Limited, and the first character our protagonists meet in the city proper. He's kind, welcoming, and just trying his best to provide the best atmosphere he can for boarding passengers. A minor character with only one chapter appearance, but his appearance leads to a fun scene.
This character is based on Tom Bodette, and as such, this is the only character whose voice needs to come as close to the voice reference as possible.
