Vexatious Values
Project Overview
Vexatious Values is a project for my political science class. The final product will be an animatic video.
I will be in charge of the art, script, and video editing.
This will be a paid project, I will negotiate payment amounts with individual VAs.
Voice actors who are able to voice multiple characters are preferred(so that I don't have to manage 9 different people, lol)! Also, please ensure you have a good quality setup with clear audio.
Vexatious Values is a project about personifications of the "8 Values" (from the 8Values political test found here: https://8values.github.io/). Each tries to make their own case to the viewers about why politicians and people in general should prioritize them over the rest of the Values; of course, they can hardly get any points across without descending into arguments and name-calling; and the overly sarcastic reporter interviewing them is no help either.
The overall tone of this project is satirical and light-hearted; it does not aim to endorse any particular political group or ideology, or push an agenda. Please don't audition if you're not comfortable working with themes of political satire.
I do not have extremely specific voices for these characters in mind(hence the voice descriptions being rather short). Hello everyone! I will aim to have roles assigned by the end of today.
Thank you to every single person who auditioned, whether you submitted for multiple characters or only one. I genuinely did not expect to see 100+ submissions and 50+ followers on this project when I checked on the site yesterday. Seeing your support has genuinely helped me get over a period of stress and de-motivation, and that means the world to me :)
P.S: There were so many amazing auditions that even if you aren’t selected for this particular project, I’ll definitely be considering you for future projects :)
