Tale of the Hundred-Knot Bamboo Tree
Project Overview
We are creating a storyboard based on the Vietnamese legend, The Hundred-Knot Bamboo Tree. (Except all the characters are cats!)
We could really use some voice actors/actresses! (ASAP please :)!)
Story: Tiufu, a hardworking lumberjack, wants to marry Mr. Phu's daughter. But Mr. Phu won't allow this unless he brings back a 100-knot bamboo tree. An old man in the woods gives Tiufu some magical wisdom to do this, leading to an interesting wedding crash.

Tiufu is a handsome, hardworking lumberjack in love with Mee, but her father (Mr. Phu) won't let them get married unless he brings back a 100-knot bamboo tree. He is able to do this by collecting 100 bamboo knots and shouting "Merge! Merge!" to magically combine them all together into one tree.
What is going on here?!

Mr. Phu's beautiful daughter who is in love with Tiufu, but can't marry him due to her father's demands.
My handsome Tiufu (Toe-foo), I knew you'd come!
I knew you'd come through, Tiufu!
A rich man who won't let his daughter marry for love. He's grumpy and mean, speaking with authority.
I will never marry my daughter off to a peasant man like you!
Okay, okay, I promise! Just let me go!
(Sarcastic, deep laughter) HOH HOH, then where is it?
The guy who Mee is being married off to. He's pretentious and kind of nasily.
I'LL RESCUE YOU, SIR!
GYAAAHH!!
Ngh-- hey!
An old man who finds Tiufu in the woods, and gives him advice on how to summon a 100-knot bamboo tree.
If marrying her is what you desire, my boy, then listen close...
You must gather one hundred individual bamboo knots and shout "Merge, merge!"
Son, I'm afraid you have been fooled by this man.
