Amy's character is a quirky and optimistic wide-eyed lass, who is looking to start her adult life in the big city of L.A. She is initially nervous but determined to do things right. Her life isn’t perfect and finds a lot of misfortune while getting a feel for her new career. Between her new job and some boys, Amy has a lot on her plate and does her best to balance it all.
Yea, I have always loved superheroes, and I was so excited to be working at a place that helps protect them, after all, they protect us.
“I hereby declare that I will not misuse my ability to cause any physical or inter-dimensional harm to this residence or this plane of existence”? Wow, LA people sure are thorough... and strange.
Um, well I really hope I get in. Truth is since the second I landed here in LA I’ve felt like I shouldn’t be here, but finding this place is the first good thing that’s happened to me... Oh wow, sorry that was... a lot. Um, I tend to overshare when I’m nervous.
Retired Muriel Wilder is the no-nonsense landlady of Darwin’s Home for The Super Challenged. Muriel doesn’t have the time to beat around the bush or sugarcoat her words. Muriel is seen as a crabby old lady, but at the end of the day, she would give anything for someone in need.
Well, I need to see some potential and a background check before anything is set in stone. What have I told you about doing your little predictions when it comes to my business affairs. Do your parents need to hear about this?
My strings are for entertaining cats, not helping 20 somethings who decided they’re too good to live here. It's up to you to get out there and find a subletter.
(talking to her cat) I know we’re desperate, but I haven't been that desperate since that time I let in that stray tabby. You remember how well that went.
Jennifer Gray is a fun-loving young woman with a mysterious past. Jennifer does her best to stay positive and happy, but is often brought down by insecurities and her own self-image. Jennifer’s insecurities stem from her own idolization of her famous superhero parents. This idolization led Jennifer to believe that Dawin’s Home for the Super Challenged was created so that her parents could hide her from their image. Despite her flaws, Jennifer refuses to be talked down to and stands up for her friends like the true “mom friend” we all need.
OOOO, oooo, future vision, yes!
Um, no. Far from it actually.
First, she is going to be living with us, I saw it. Second, what do you mean “finally?” We already have two girls living here, Claire and myself.
Elliot Whitehall, a once quirky and optimistic wide eyed lad, is now jaded by the world and what it had to offer him. Elliot has it in his head that his super power will never amount to anything. He is unable to fulfill his dreams of becoming a professional superhero. This only changes once he meets Amy. Amy’s arrival changes the dynamic of the home. She is a supporting force for Elliot and his dreams.
Well, Xander turns out even homeless people don’t want to live in a room that you’ve ever stepped foot in.
I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to intrude! I just figured you were out.
Ugh, no! That would be crazy! The only people with superpowers are superheroes... And we are not superheroes.
Alec Swift is a silver-tongued young man who can charm just about anyone. Alec oozes charm and is well aware of it, often employing this aspect of himself when trying to get what he wants from others. Though Alec can wrap just about anyone around his finger, he is a good natured person with a strong desire to prove himself as a true hero.
So, Stan how are you, how’s the wife?
Second, you and I grew up together. You’re basically my sister. And I do strive to be a gentleman but Claire isn’t exactly much to look at.
I’d love to stay and get to know you, but since Jennifer knows you’ll be staying with us, I’ll have plenty of time later to make your acquaintance.
Luca Calido is the youngest at Darwin’s and thus rather naive and carefree. He is confident and seemingly oblivious to his status as a “super challenged” superhero. Luca believes the key to success as a superhero is to have a huge online presence. Luca seems rather shallow at first glance, but in reality, he cares deeply for his friends and wants to be a real hero like the other housemates.
Everybody’s favorite super sidekick, Room Temperature Boy is heading out to the bar, hit me up for deets.
I’m going for more of a personal assistant kind of vibe but yeah. Why?
Hmmm. So I got 57 likes on that burger selfie at Donny’s. pretty cool huh?
Xander is a textbook narcissist, he is always his first priority.
Muriel, my angel, how are the interviews going?
Thanks man, okay, I gotta go!
Elliot, Ellie, Els, listen I have to pack and focus on researching my position. Being a full-time sidekick isn't easy.
Denorte is a sassy receptionist, who has no patience for people wasting his time. He revels in taking advantage of people’s naivety.
Again, I don’t care. What do you need?
I'm going to stop you there. I don't care.
Don’t know, don’t care, we’re technically closing.
Stan is your standard high school jock turned family man. He doesn’t do anything with a subtle touch.
What do you punks want? Is-is that one even old enough to be in here?
Whad’ya having?
HEY! ANY OF Y’ALL HAVE CRAPPY SUPERPOWERS?
Delarova has recently moved to LA for New Jersey, and the world revolves around him. His parents moved to New Jersey from Russia.
Nice pussy. (in reference to a cat)
So I heard you’s lookin’ for a new gifted tenant, well look no further baby.
Good fit? You seen me? I’m super fit!
Rosa is the body and soul of her family, she didn’t want to move to Wisconsin but she is making the best of it for her kids.
Everything is okay. I need you all to get out. Come on now, hurry. Rodrigo, can you grab Amy? Rodrigo?
You two watch your little brother, I’ll be right back.
Yes, I think so. Is my husband going to be alright?
