Project Overview
In the early 2000s, two young Filipinos, Rich and Faye, find themselves stuck in a monotonous life in the heart of New York. Rich, a 22-year-old half-American, half-Filipino, brought Faye, his 20-year-old friend, to the city after her mother's tragic death left her battling depression. Rich's constant anxiety has him controlling every aspect of their lives, and Faye obediently follows along.
Their daily routine revolves around the New York subway, with Rich heading to work and Faye to the Immigration office. But one fateful day, Faye experiences bewildering visions within the subway system. She uncovers a disturbing truth - they are trapped in a never-ending cycle of stations. No matter how many times they exit, they inexplicably return.
As Faye's visions intensify, she must convince Rich of the eerie space-shifting loop they're ensnared in. Together, they embark on a journey to unravel the mysteries of the subway and find a way to escape. "Stuck in the present" is a gripping tale of psychological exploration and a race against time to break free from an inexplicable reality.

Cristóbal is the main villain in SITP. He's a 'conduit,' meaning he has the power to send people into the Slip, an alternate reality. Cristóbal has also figured out how to use the Slip's power for his own purposes. While we don't know his full backstory and true intentions yet, he symbolizes those who exploit emotionally vulnerable individuals.
Cristóbal committed a terrible act by killing Faye's mother five years ago. He had tried to persuade her to join him because she, too, was a conduit with a strong connection to the Slip. When she refused, he took her life. Now, Cristóbal is interested in Faye because she's inherited her mother's abilities. He brought Faye and Rich into the Slip, hoping to recruit Faye for his cause.

- there are two versions of this character! One a loving and caring mother. The other is a haunting ghost of vengeance and punishment.
