Project Overview
We are excited to announce auditions for our upcoming podcast adaptation of the classic fairy tale, "Jack and the Beanstalk." This project aims to bring a fresh and engaging retelling of the beloved story to life, and we are seeking talented voice actors to portray the following characters:
Narrator: A warm and engaging storyteller who guides the audience through Jack's adventure. The narrator should have a friendly and inviting tone, capable of conveying excitement and suspense as the story unfolds.
Jack: A curious and brave young boy who embarks on a daring journey up the beanstalk. Jack's voice should reflect his youthful energy and determination, capturing his transformation from a naive child to a courageous hero.
Jack's Mother: A caring and wise woman who worries about her son's well-being. Her voice should convey maternal warmth and concern, as well as the hardships she faces in their impoverished life.
Stranger: A mysterious and intriguing character who trades the magic beans with Jack. The stranger's voice should have an enigmatic quality, hinting at the magical events to come.
Giant: A formidable and menacing presence in the story. The giant's voice should be deep and booming, instilling a sense of fear and awe, yet also capable of expressing frustration and fatigue.
This is a non-paid project aimed at creating a high-quality audio experience for listeners of all ages. We welcome both experienced and aspiring voice actors to audition. Please ensure you have access to quality recording equipment to deliver clear and professional audio.

Ah, well, hello there, my little friends! It’s me, your friendly storyteller, back again with another marvelous tale. Now, gather round, and let me tell you the story of a boy named Jack, a few magical beans, and an adventure that reaches all the way to the clouds!
So off Jack went, leading Daisy by her rope. As he walked along the dusty road, he met a curious-looking stranger. The man wore a patched coat and had a twinkle in his eye.

Jack is a boy around 10 to 12 years old with a neutral British accent. He is adventurous, curious, and full of energy. His voice should reflect his excitement, wonder, and occasional moments of fear during his journey.

In this moment, he's a villain. Think of him like a snake in the way you're talking. This is like a back ally deal, poor young jack has not made it to the market yet. When you're saying these lines your chest is not puffed up like a hero, your back is hunched over like a guy selling Rolexes from the inside of his trench coat.
The stranger is a man in his 60s to 70s with a playful, sly, and slightly mysterious tone. He is persuasive and mischievous, with a voice that hints at charm and intrigue to entice Jack into trading for the magic beans.
Not married to him being American or English, I can even see him being Eastern European or Arabic/ North African.
