Hi there! My name is Brittany aka skyybunnie and I have been looking to do a collab with all you other lovely voice actors! I am a voice actor but I do a lot of visual novels on my Youtube channel. I usually voice everyone myself which is a lot of work :p.
I have always always loved Steins Gate, it is one of my favorite anime still. The Visual Novel has been on my list forever and I wanted to take this opportunity to connect with more amazingly talented and passionate voice actors.
I am by no means rich (I'm an actress) but I did want to give a little something because your voices are worth it. I just think if you put in the effort and work it deserves to be paid. I can really only pay via Paypal however as I am based in Australia.
If you've never seen Steins Gate that is A'Okay! Just know that if you ever wanted to watch it... you'll be spoiled like crazy. Also note that Steins Gate can have some "naughty" language and puns in it. Anyone who knows- banana... banana... lol. It also deals with some dark themes like self-harm and depression.
How I plan to put this together:
I will record the VN and upload it without voice on my Youtube channel, we'll record the lines chapter by chapter. I'll take them edit it together and BAM a fully voice VN! Then I will add your lovely voices to the project and post it on my channel! I've had tons of voice over friends do projects like these and it is just so special and fun to watch.
If you are also a Steins Gate fan please feel free to add extra lines to your audition :).
Also you'll notice Kurisu isn't here... I have to voice her she's my favorite character!! I'm sorryyyyyyyy.
I will say that I want this to be 100% collaborative. I'm a little nervous because this is the first time I've ever attempted a collab and a fan project. I would love feedback and love to do this together as a team!

Hey there! So many amazing auditions already. I forgot to add the steam link to the visual novel if you want to play through it yourself. One of the reasons I wanted to do this is that there are voices but they are all in Japanese! Not fun for people who might have trouble reading or like to listen along.
Okarin is the MC of the visual novel (as well as the anime) and therefore has the most lines... He also narrates most of the series. Rintaro is # 001 of the Future Gadget Lab and the leader of his group of friends. He is very over the top melodramatic but as the story progresses his mask falls and his venerability comes through. The pain of losing Mayuri over and over eats at him until he is nothing. I'd love someone who can display that over the top silliness but then also be able to hit hard with losing Mayuri over and over and over.
The first line is the beginning monologue of the novel- it should be read more as a narration.
The second line can be read either at the beginning of the novel when he's playing around with Mayuri or at the end where he is emotional and unwilling to let her die.
This is a line in response to Kurisu, he is broken at this point. Reliving Mayuri's death over and over.

Fuck relative decisions! I am not a god. I noticed I was in a similar position, but it’s completely different. Who to save…who to let die…I can’t decide that any more.
Mayuri is Okarin's childhood friend and lab member 002. She has romantic feelings for Okarin (in some timelines they are pursued) but Okarin sees her as a younger sister he has to protect. She is very ditzy and naive but really sees Okarin and when he changes better than anyone. She has her own way of supporting him and tries her best no matter what. The biggest thing acting wise about her is she kind of keeps her upbeat attitude even in hard situations.

Itaru is obsessed and extremely talented with programs and computers, capable of hacking into the mainframes of top-secret organizations and processing complex computer codes.
Like Okabe, Itaru enjoys making Future Gadgets, but he is not nearly as enthusiastic about it as Okabe is. Itaru also has a very particular naming sense for his creations, usually adding serial and version number even if unnecessary. (Huge PLOT POINT) He is Future Gadget Member 003!
He is kind of goofy and loves Otaku culture. He also has a major crush on Faris (crush? or obsession not sure)
I'm debating having Itaru's VO also read the John Titor lines when they pop up- just because "spoiler" I think it would be cute having Suzuha's dad reading the lines :)

Suzuha Amane is a part-time employee for CRT store downstairs. She is on a secret search for her future father in Akihabara. She enjoys riding her bicycle, and hates Kurisu.
SPOILER
She is in fact a time traveler from 2036 who, under the guise of John Titor, seeks to prevent SERN from creating a Time Machine that will lead to a dystopian future.
She is very much a tomboy and a soldier. She grew up having to learn how to fight and being in a war almost her whole life. She is still a young girl and really seems to enjoy spending time in a warless time so I really want that to come through. She still has that tough exterior though.
“I'm really grateful to you. All of you. When I came to this time, I didn't know anyone, I was all alone in a world completely different from my own... But now I have friends... real friends, who I can share my secrets with.”

Faris NyanNyan real name Rumiho Akiha is the daughter of Yukitaka and Chikane Akiha, a part-time employee and owner of the maid café MayQueen+Nyan², the same maid café that Mayuri Shiina works at, where she is the most popular waitress, and is a second year student at Kanaria Private Academy.
She is a pro at RaiNet and in the anime even goes to LA for a tournament!
She is very cute and perky and plays along with Okabe's delusions. She has a very sad secret though that she keeps from most of her friends so they don't treat her differently.
I would really like it pronouned "Nyan" like the Japanese version vs meow. I just love the sound of it <3

Luka Urushibara is a close friend and classmate of Mayuri Shiina and so-called protégé of Rintaro Okabe. While feminine in appearance and personality, Luka is a male on most world lines. Mayuri often attempts to coerce him into cosplaying. He works at the Yanabayashi Shrine as a shrine maiden.
Honestly this role is androgynous so I don't mind if a male or female or whoever auditions. I just want the shy/naive portrayal! In fact in some time lines they are female so just go for it!
“If I go back to becoming a guy, I'm going to forget all about today, that the two of us went on a date, that the two of us trained, that I was able to touch you this way... If I knew I had to suffer like this, I would never have wished to become a girl...”
Moeka Kiryu is a part-time editor whom Okabe encounters in Akiba. She is practically glued to her phone and cannot function without it. Even when face to face, Moeka prefers to communicate by email, to the point where if her phone is taken away, she will almost refuse to speak until her phone is returned.
Her route can get pretty dark (I mean this entire VN is dark but hers deals with self harm- if this makes you uncomfortable please don't audition and read for her.
She speaks through her phone a lot so when speaking through the phone her "normal voice" can come out but when she actually speaks it should be quite quiet and introverted. She is not confident in herself and constantly seeking validation.
“Don't be angry, I mean... Angry Okabe-kun is scary! (T_T) (On phone)
“Did I do something wrong? I'll fix it, I promise. Just don't abandon me. I'll do anything for you, FB!”
These are very minor roles but the only other two males (Okarin and Itaru) have such big parts I don't want to add any more to their plate. Yuugo is the owner of the CV shop that Okarin's lab is above. Dr. Nakabachi is the jerk father of Kurisu who steals her time theory. Eisuke is the shrine priest and father of Luka. Yukitka is the father of Faris and only in a few timelines same with 4C
