Project Overview

Hi!

My Name is Dakota and I am working on a small Sci-Fi Audio Story set in space. This is just a small project I came up with one day and decided to do something with. However the more I worked on the script, the more I fell in love with my creation. Therefore, although it's small, I want to treat it with as much care and professionalism as I can. (While also having fun with it) As with most projects, here the requirements of the cast:


Good Quality Mic and Set up (No background noise or room echo)

Discord (preferred) or Email

Commitment to Project as more episodes and roles are being worked on

Understand that this is a small project and I'm a creator that nobody has heard of so this is for fun.


SYNOPSES:

EP 1: Devyn is a freelance space explorer and scientist who lives for discovery. Her and her A.I. Partner OR1-CAL (Oracle) are hired to investigate a new and dangerous species ("The Anomaly") by the intergalactic government power; The United Inter-Planetary Federation (UIPF). When She meets with a reptilian Commander sent to collect her discoveries, she learns that The UIPF have less than desirable plans involving her reasearch. A confrontation arises and an "explosive" cliffhanger closes off the Episode.

    So, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am SO grateful that so many have showed interest in my project! I was NOT expecting such notice and am really excited for this project. Some of you probably noticed that I extended the deadline. This was simply because I needed more time to gather my resources. And, in the spirit of fairness, I wanted to keep All roles available until the final date. Though I have a small cast for episode one, there are tons of more characters I have. So if you don't get any here, hold tight! I might message you if I have another role in mind! Thank you all so much for being interested in this little project!

Devyn is a bad ass space explorer and scientist who lives for adventure and discovery. Think Lara Croft in space. She's Strong, Independent, and loves to have fun. She's sarcastic and joking with her friends but won't back down if trouble comes her way. She's as quick with her wit as she is thinking on her feet. She could Take you down or show you a good time.

  • (Profesional turning Personal) Devyn Warren. Log 42-B. The Specimen seems to be...Cooing. After further analysis of its behavior, I have concluded that It may have imprinted on me. At least on an emotional level. I mean it's cute, but I am SO not ready to be a mom. 

  • (Shocked/Excited) A Plorbian? No way! Since when did the Federation allow Plorbians into the military?

    (Disappointed/Sarcastic )And here I thought it was because The Federation was beginning to practice equality and fair opportunity. How did they even find that out?

  • (Confrontation/Last Stand) You mean this guy. Yeah, no. Not happening. So why don’t you crawl back to the federation with your tail between your legs and screw off, you reptilian FREAK!

OR1-CAL is Devyn's A.I. Companion who makes any needed analysis for her. He has a similar personality to Pathfinder from Apex Legends. He is Happy, a bit naive, and almost parental. He also is constantly reminding her to take a rest every once in awhile. He watches for her mental and physical health and is also her guide through the stars. The two are an inseparable pair. However, if they are somehow separated, OR1-CAL will do anything to get back to Devyn to keep her safe. 

  • (Freindly) I am Analysis Artificial Intelligence designation O-R-1 dash C-A-L. But you can call me Oracle! There is currently a high chance of solar storms for the next Cycle. We should probably stay put...  

  • (Instructive) Sub-Corridor 17-BLV. It’s on this level. Take the next left, then follow that corridor until you see a guard. Show him Holo ID, then he should let you through the door to the stairs. Take the stairs down then they should take you right to Commander Jyn-tu.

  • (Worried) Devyn. Devyn! DEVYN! Subsonic levels rising! You need to go!

    (Commanding/No-time-to-explain) Plorbian. Bone Shattering Scream. Move! NOW!

Jyn-Tu Is Commander of the Federation's Secret Weapons Unit. He is responsible for finding any weapons powerful enough to wipe entire planets off the map and making sure that the Federation is the only group to use it. He is cold, malicious, and cruel. He's also a giant reptile. Therefore, he is the only one I want a specific voice for. Something gravely and harsh. Something like the Elites from Halo or Smaug from the Hobbit.   

  • (Professional turning Passionate Rage) Commander Jyn-Tu. Reporting in. It is my duty to obtain any information on Weapons of planetary destruction and use it to CRUSH any rebellions or uprisings to The Federation's Authority. They will all DIE BY MY HANDS!

  • (Smug/Checkmate) (Chuckles) I doubt you noticed, but we remotely commandeered your A.I. the moment you entered the door. We’ve already extracted the files we needed from you, but we also discovered something else in the playback that we’ll require from you...The Specimen.

  • (Agitated/ Rising anger) Ms. Warren we’ve seen the footage. We know you took the specimen without hesitation after testing it for radiation, We know that you’ve been testing the energy output of it and discovered that it’s an infinite and efficient power source, and we know that it is currently inside the power unit on the back of your suit! You’ve already wasted both my and the federation’s Time, Therefore you will hand over the specimen. NOW!

  This Guard is a Plorbian. Its an alien species that has the consistency of a marshmallow and equally as friendly. Also a bit slimy and gross but still lovable. This guy, I want to have a Canadian or New Yorker accent, However that isn't super important or deal breaking. The main thing I want is for him to believably beg for his life as he becomes a hostage and literally explodes from emotional distress! 

  • Hiya there! It's such a lovely cycle Don't-cha think! I'm not supposed to tell ya 'bout this, but I'm guardin' a SUPER secret meet'n mmhmmm. Oh, but SHHHH don't-cha tell nobody! 

  • (Heavy snoring that sounds slimy. The Guard is a slimy gelatinous creature)

  • (Scared to death) (Whimpering) Oh! Oh no, please! Oh Cosmos No! Please, I don’t know anything! I won’t tell anybody!
