Stargazing: Back Under the Stars (An Amazing Digital Circus Audio Series)
Project Overview
This is honestly an idea I've had ever since Episode 5 of The Amazing Digital Circus came out last week. It led me to ask the question: What if there was a way for the circus crew to return to one of their old adventures? Which would they choose?
And I honestly think they'd return to Stargazing. That was the one everyone could truly breathe and relax. I feel like if they had that chance, they'd take it, and yes that includes Jax.
So that's what this audio series is here to explore, the conversations they would have. It's nothing crazy, I don't have anything big or hilarious or wild planned. I just want to have these characters chill and talk. But if this does well, who knows? Maybe I'll do a series that explores Pomni as president more, or Jax as a poacher, or Gangle back in school.
And for those wondering why the lines are the way they are, this was just a spur of the moment idea, I don't actually have any conversations written out yet so I decided to have the audition lines be the chillest, calmest moments every character had. And unfortunately, it either was only 1 or 2 or it led to the line being a whole paragraph soo yeah. I hope the lines aren't too limiting.

[From Episode 2] This may seem weird, but... I think I know the feeling. Well, m-maybe not the e-exact feeling, but... feeling like you're nothing is... kind of normal. I mean, people even feel like that in the world I came from. But... Y-you still care about your buddies up there, don't you? I'm sure they still care about you.
[From Episode 3] Why? Every day I spend here is one nightmare after the next! I KNEW IT WOULD END UP LIKE THIS! (She sits on the ground) He just wants me to suffer. (She curls up and buries her face into her legs) I really am in Hell...

[From Episode 5] (Sighs) I don't know, I just- I think she tries way too hard. Like, we're stuck in- Why are you always pretending everything's always fine? Like, if you tell someone they're loved and appreciated every day, it just... kind of loses all meaning. (Inhales deeply and sighs) It just feels like she's trying to take advantage of you, you know? I don't know. (Calmer tone) Also, she's dumb and she looks weird!

[From Episode 3] Caine, nobody likes your stupid adventures. Ragatha's just too nice to say anything. Jax just likes to fuck with everybody. Gangle's too shy to speak up. Kinger's insane. And -- And Pomni... She looks traumatized every time she comes back from one.

[From Episode 5] ...I guess I'll go now. Oh, jeez, where to start? (Laughs nervously) Um, I was born from a fairly wealthy family. We had a large property with horses and chickens. And my mother... uh, well... my mother was... a lot. Uh, I worked in real estate for a bit until I ended up... here. I'm sure she doesn't miss me. I certainly don't miss the yelling... and the berating... and guilt-tripping. (Laughs nervously) And the... Uh, yeah! (Laughs) Just kind of a farm girl. Nothing too out of the ordinary!
[From Episode 4] Heh. Oh, Ragatha. I love her, but… after a while, it gets kind of hard to tell how genuine she's actually being.
[From Episode 5] I was in community college for graphic design, but I dropped out. I didn't really pursue art much after that.

[From Episode 3] I know how it can feel in this... circus. Sometimes it all just feels... pointless. But it's not. Not if you have people who care about you. Good memories can do a lot. Hold onto them. And cherish the people around you. You never know when they'll be gone. In this world, the worst thing you can do is... make someone think they're not wanted or loved.
