Project Overview
Hey lovelies! My name is Vesperia and I’m the head director of Vesperia Productions, here we have a brand new project in which we wish to begin casting for. Before anything, let’s answer a few questions..
WHAT EVEN IS STARDEW VALLEY? [IN TERMS OF THIS PROJECT.]
This project will be a series of minimovies in which we follow the farmer, AMELIA and her love story with each of the different bachelors/bachelorettes. It's a series of "what if's" where we see small actions change the course of Amelia's life in each movie, as each is set in a different timeline. Every character in this casting call will be a main character of their own movie.
WHAT DOES THE CASTING SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?
The deadline we have set up for this project is hard, meaning we will NOT be casting before it. The deadline is October 12th which is two weeks from now, so upon being casted, expect a message from myself between the 12th-19th of October.
Upon being casted, you will immediately recieve the scripts for the prequel episode and first movie. This script may not involve all of you, however out of the bachelors- 10 of you will appear. Leah & Penny sadly do not have appearances in these episodes. But are important characters none-the-less! You'll have a little less than 2 months total for both scripts, though deadlines can be discussed!
As for the release date after such, for this projects deadline, we are looking at early next year as a possible release. Possibly February, though this is all up for discussion with our team here at VP.
ARE THERE ANY RULES FOR US VA’S OR AUDITION CRITERIA?
Yes! Let’s go down the list together..
-16+
-You must follow Discord TOS and adhere to VP rules- all in which will be listed for you in the server; for the most part, they’re basic rules in which you’d see in most servers.
-You must adhere to VP VA guidelines. [These will all be listed in the next section of this overview.]
-There is no minimum take requirement for auditions, don’t do more than three- 2 is my sweet spot. Both AABBCC and ABCABC are accepted, I have no preference.
-Send your Discord in your audition.
-You must be willing to voice act in the future seasons.
-This is a long term project with quite a few movies and the possibility of side series & content. Be prepared for this!
-You must have decent audio quality. [I don’t care what you use, you can use a phone mic. Just have minimum-no background noise and clear audio.]
WHAT ARE THOSE VA GUIDELINES?
A series of rules for our VA's to make editing audio and recordings easier for myself and our audio engineers.
1. Editing Standards : Please remove any errors or bloopers from primary line submissions and place them in the designated bloopers chats.
2. Recording Sequence: Ensure that lines are recorded in the specified order within the scripts.
3. Scene Separation: Record scenes separately, placing all lines within a scene into one file.
4. Take Limit: Limit your recordings to a maximum of two takes per line. For questions regarding inflections, feel free to direct message me or any available admin.
5. Audio Quality: Avoid instances of peaking or excessive quietness in your lines. Utilize Audacity or other appropriate programs for line editing. Alternatively, submit lines to the line dump for initial editing. Note that overly quiet lines may necessitate resubmission for volume adjustment.
6. Pronunciation Accuracy: Make sure that character names are pronounced correctly. There should be pronunciation guides up and pinned in news chats, if not, feel free to shoot me a direct message or consolidate an admin.
7. Editing Consideration: Allow a one-second interval between lines to help lines become easier cut during the editing process.
8. Submission Protocol: Submit all lines in their respective episode/scene chats for streamlined organization.
We will have opportunities for our audio engineers to edit your lines for you, if for whatever reason you are unable to. We will also have pronunciation guides (both written and audio) up for you to reference.
