Project Overview
Star Wars: Emissaries to Malastare is the third story arc in 1998's Star Wars run, later renamed Star Wars: Republic.
For decades have the Red Iaro terrorists been at war with the royal family. Now, they have agreed to peace negotiations. Some of the strongest members of the Jedi Council have agreed to oversee the treaty, though they uncover a conspiracy that runs deeper than they could have possibly imagined!

Self-explanatory. Only appears once in Emissaries to Malastare, but will be needed in larger amounts in future arcs.
My initial choice for the job was Roy Bunales, but I have lost contact with him. If you feel you can give a similar gritty early 2000s feel as him, I welcome you to try!
Nar Shaddaa, in the Y'Toub System. A moon of the Hutt Capital World Nal Hutta. A Dark Globe of Duracrete and Metal, the Moon orbits Nal Hutta like a parasite circling a dangerous host body, hovering but afraid to attach itself. Nar Shaddaa functions as Nal Hutta's main spaceport and commercial center. Over the centuries, layers of docking dowers, landing bays, warehouses, hotels, trading plazas, slums and dens of ill gains have increased the Satellite's mass three times over. This place is more duracrete and plasteel than rock and soil. The old spacers call it the "Smuggler's moon", and for good reason. Whatever one could wish for can be had upon Nar Shaddaa. Let the buyer beware.
Depa Billaba is the former Padawan of Mace Windu and future Master of Caleb Dume. As a baby, her parents were murdered and both she and her sister were ensalved by pirates, however, Mace Windu rescued them and brought both into the Jedi Order. Becoming Mace's Padawan, Depa Billaba formed a close bond with her master and made an oath to protect him as much as she can - even now that she has become a member of the High Council, she has not forgotten that oath - even if it means following him on what is supposed to be a solo mission.
Depa has a "fun mom/aunt" type of personality. You should play her like a motherly and kind lady, but one who is very fun to be around!
The only time Depa has had an official voice to my knowledge is the Obi-Wan Xbox game. Despite looking Indian, she has a russian accent in the game. Feel free to include or drop an accent as you please.
My, what a handsome-looking bunch. I'm sure that Master Windu is flattered to participate in this impromptu evaluation of the capabillities of Nar Shaddaa's professional beings. To whom do we send the bill?

Even Piell is an aged war veteran who has seen a lot in life. Is his younger days, he has oftentimes fought alongside the royal house of his homeworld, Lannik, to protect it from the Red Iaro terrorists, gaining a scar in his battle against a leading member, Zug. Now that the Red Iaro is proposing a peace meeting with the royal house, Even Piell will be forced to confront a revenge-seeking Zug again.

When I took the Jedi Oath, I pledged my hands to the laws of the Republic and my mind to the ways of the Force. But my heart will ever belong to my homeworld. I knew both your father and your grandfather, and saw you many times when you were a child. With your military advisor Hutar Zash did I serve, when he was Captain of the Palace Guard.
The prince of the Lannik people is as spoiled, childish and unprofessional as it gets: He shows no interest in any political issues, disrespects figures of authority, throws temper tantrums and even has the audacity to flirt up a Jedi Master. One may actually feel inclined to understand why so many of the characters are trying to kill him. Make him come off unlikable as you possibly can.

Myk'Chur Finux Zug is a leading member of the Red Iaro terrorist group. He claims that he has come to Malastare to negotiate a peace treaty with the Prince of Lannik. However, he secretly has allied himself with the gran protectorate and the order of the Ffib priests to overthrow the prince and take control of the planet himself. A prievous attempt to do so has been stopped by Jedi Master Even Piell - and Zug is eager to take his revenge for it!
