Jula Shryne was the mother of Jedi Roan Shryne, who possessed the ability to see the power in other beings. Married to Jen Shryne and Force-sensitive, she was kept hidden from the Jedi by her parents, which is what she intended to do with their son.
Jula refused to give her son to the Jedi as an apprentice, but her husband agreed and gave Roan the Jedi behind his wife's back. As a result, their marriage fell apart and they got divorced. Jula became captain of the ship Drunk Dancer and leader of a gang of smugglers that included Brudi Gayn , Skeck Draggle , Archyr Beil , Filli Bitters , and Eyl Dix . She met Roan again after he narrowly survived Order 66 and fled with Padawan Olee Starstone. She has a witty swashbuckling personality to her smuggling career.
I think that's partly the reason I took up piloting after your father and I separated. In the hope of, well, bumping into you. It's because of our Force connection that I brought the Dancer to this sector. I sensed you, Roan.
You've missed on life, Roan. Desire, romance, love, laughter, for all the things you've been denied. And children. How about that? A Force-sensitive child you could nurture and learn from.
Cash Garrulan was a male Twi'lek from the planet Murkana. He was a Black Sun Vigo, making himself one of Murkhana's greatest crime lords. When Order 66 was proclaimed in 19 BBY , Roan Shryne and Olee Starstone sought him out, hoping he could help them escape from Murkhana. This brings him to the attention of Darth Vader.
Are you two in the market for blasters? I've got BlasTechs, Merr-Sonns, Tenloss DXs, you name it. And I'll let you have them cheap.
Is this the way you were before the war? Cutting deals with anyone you pleased?
Well, I'd offer you a chair, as well, but I don't think I have another one large enough.
Eyl Dix was a female communications expert aboard the Drunk Dancer. She belonged to a sharp-eared, dark green-skinned humanoid species that possessed two pairs of antennae. She has a sharp wit and cocky attitude.
You can count on me if you need a good link-up.
Oh, brother! A Jedi is on board!
Fang Zar was a male human senator who served in the Galactic Senate during the Clone Wars representing Sern Prime. Prior to the war's end, he was part of the Delegation of 2,000 out of concern over various amendments to the constitution. As a result, he and his allies presented the Petition of 2,000 to Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. Palpatine later transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire after Order 66 was enacted. One day after the formation of the Empire, Imperial Intelligence conducted a mass arrest of senators, which included Zar.
I do not understand what the meaning of this is!
I will not stand against the Empire's tyranny!
I do not fear you, Vader... Another puppet of politics..
Sate Pestage was a longtime advisor and right-hand man to Palpatine, and one of the few people who truly knew him. Serving Palpatine from his days as a senator on Naboo to his ascension to Emperor, Pestage rose alongside him, becoming an advisor to Palpatine as Supreme Chancellor, and then Grand Vizier of the Galactic Empire.
Asking permission is easier than asking forgiveness
Without power, one dies.
I trust that Your Majesty is pleased by the professionalism of the Empire's soldiers as evidenced by the thorough eradication of the Jedi rebellion. May your reign last for a thousand years!
Armand Isard served in the Galactic Republic as a member of the Security and Intelligence Council, a war council made up of Palpatine's most trusted advisors. Isard has filled the role of both the Director of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence and the Director of Republic Intelligence. Armand Isard uses few words and talks very little, preferring to keep both allies and enemies off-balance. After the fall of the Republic, Isard became one of the leaders of the ISB.
We shall find the traitors and put them to justice.
The Isards make their own luck
Mas Amedda was the Vice-Chair of the Galactic Senate during Chancellor Valorum's term, a position he continued to hold as Chancellor Palpatine transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Amedda's booming voice often called for order when the partisan nature of the Republic's government degenerated into pointless bickering. In an alien gesture of authority, he would often punctuate such calls with a flicker of his long, forked tongue.
We all do our part for the Empire.
We follow our orders for the will of the Emperor.
