Disclaimer: The explanation video is actually an unscripted, off-the-cuff video that was made for fun, within a brief period of time. Star Citizen: The Nexus, however, will be of higher production quality: shots will be more cinematic, lip syncing will properly match voiceovers, an episodic storyline will/has be scripted. I'd also like to mention that this is a passion project of sorts being built from the ground up, therefore expect very minimum compensation for the work that you do, at least for now. On the plus side, should you choose to bless this project with your talent(s), your work will be exposed to a Star Citizen community of over 2.2 billion strong, you'll receive full credit of course and another awesome project to add to your portfolio. Star Citizen: The Nexus
The year is 2935. 10 years before the "Vanduul Attack on Vega." An event that would trigger a full-fledged war between the United Empire of Earth (UEE) and the Vanduul. The Nexus centers around key events leading up to the war and the lives of those who were involved, or caught in the middle.
What I'm looking for:
- Exceptional audio quality
- Actors who can improvise lines and/or alter them to feel more organic
- Actors who can take direction well
- Actors who are not shy
- Team players
What I'm NOT looking for:
- This is NOT an anime dub. Please, no overacting!
- Filters, down/up pitching, or reverb
- Background noise, pops, clicks or hissing

Bambi is the new recruit with very little battle experience. He knows how to shoot a gun but he rather not, since he's a humanitarian at heart. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed but he's a good kid with plenty of room to grow. The older guys tease him a lot. His voice is soft and endearing. Think Anton Yelchin.
(intrigued) So how potent is SLAM anyway? ... Asking for a friend. (Note: "SLAM" is an illegal drug within the Star Citizen universe.)
(suspiciously) Nooo... I mean... maybe. It used to be UEE approved right? For the military? How bad could it be?
Aw, man. And I was totally ready to get some.
Shaw is your typical roughneck, combat-seasoned, Space Marine. The type to shoot first ask questions later. Despite his tough guy demeanor, he takes Bambi under his wing and shows him the ropes. His voice has slight gravel.
Seems the UEE will draft anybody these days.
Double check your seals. That unprocessed shit’ll melt your lungs.
That’s a lot of fire power for a drug run.
Rhodes always has a way of lightening the mood. He jokes around a lot but knows when it's time to get serious.
On second thought, Bambi, maybe you could use some of that stuff. Maybe then you’d pull the trigger for once.

It’s fine - we’ll have at least five minutes before hypothermia sets in.
Technically they’re high velocity energy rounds.
Lux Aparlo is a warlord who betrays his own human race for power and riches. He's well-known in the underworld and a high profile target for the UEE. He's cunning, somewhat of a prankster and has an Irish accent.
(Note: He has a small part in the first episode but is a reoccurring character.)
The UEE... I must be a special boy, eh? ... Drop your weapon.
(knows he has the upperhand) Yeeeah... That's what I figured.
Commander Sunrush is another reoccurring character in the series. He is extremely punctual and unforgiving. All he cares about is moving up the UEE ranks. He has an English accent, as in British. Think Michael Fassbender in Inglourious Basterds.

Sergeant Mesca. I’ve noticed your men have left their post. Is everything all right?
Unfortunately that’s a sacrifice the UEE is willing to make. Return to your mission, Sergeant, you are wasting precious time.
Let the record show, Sergeant Mesca disobeyed my direct order to abort the mission.
Silan is a woman of the law. As in she's a UEE Advocacy Officer (aka space police). She has a very authoritative personality, even when she's not wearing her badge. She has a subtle Pacific Islander accent. (Note: I only put "Japanese" because it's technically a Pacific island, however you're welcome to try a Japanese accent, as long as it's not too intense.)
(threatening someone about to draw their weapon) You better think twice. Because I won't.
Luckily I'm immune to your primitive mating rituals.
