[NDA] Children's show Main Character

[NDA] Children's show Main Character

Project Overview

Spirit Bridge Studio is looking for a voice for the main character of their upcoming Children's animated show!

Spirit bridge is a newly-founded UK-based animation studio with a small team of senior and junior animators working towards making a children's animated show to appeal to children of all backgrounds, ages, and genders! We have a strong anti-ai message and love supporting emerging/indie talents!

HELLO!!

My name is Winston. I work for Spirit Bridge Studio, an indie animation studio in the UK. My role in the studio is lead storyboard artist and one of the individuals involved in the talent search for freelance artists and VAs for the pilot of our upcoming children's show.

Currently, we're looking for a voice actor for the main character of our Children's Show to record scratch audio for animation tests and proof of concept pieces. While we are only looking for scratch audio right now, our director has said that if we manage to find "the one" during a scratch audio VA search then the role will absolutely be up for grabs to that individual.

For the scratch audio, the studio is offering £15 for just a handful of lines to help find the character's voice and personality.

With any luck, there should be more auditions being posted to CCC within the next year as we receive the final draft of the script and finalise character models and designs. Spirit Bridge Studio believes in giving young talent the opportunity to enter the industry, and we look forward to potentially returning to CCC in the future to seek out additional voices for the pilot episode of our children's show!

Latest Updates

  • Unfortunate news

For anyone who was hoping to hear any updates on this project, I unfortunately do not work at Spirit Bridge Studios anymore and the future of this project is unknown.

    .

This may change in upcoming months, and I will sure to let you all know if anything is updated.

Unfortunately due to NDA the name of the character and project cannot be shared. I apologise if that raises red flags to anyone auditioning, this is simply all I have been permitted to share. This audition is only for the scratch audio for pre-production animation tests and proof-of-concept pieces, though I have been told to mention that if we find "the one" that the role can be officially open to the chosen VA.

We are looking for a voice for a young boy (the character is supposed to be 10), preferably American or English, who is higher pitched and is capable of a good range of emotions and volumes. The VA can be of any gender, race, or age, though we would prefer someone who has gone through puberty, otherwise we would have to recast when your voice inevitably breaks.

The character is very lively and excitable, a young child with a sense of adventure and an outlook on the world that hasn't yet been worn down by reality.

  • [Talking to another child] There’s no such thing as playing pirates, everybody knows that! Being a pirate is a lifestyle and I’m living it!

  • [A confrontation, fighting back tears] You think I’m special? Because of my hair? Because my horn glows? I don’t want to be special, I WANT TO BE NORMAL!

  • [Quiet, a moment of guilt] I didn't mean to. I'm sorry.
