Project Overview
Introduction and scope.
Hello! I am Garleo, an aspiring animator from Spain.
I would like to make a short animation to get some practice down with acting. It will consist on a brief interaction between two of my original characters: Ed and Cass.
Ed has 3-4 lines and Cass has 5-6 lines
The project scope is very small, perhaps a 30-1 minute animation overall.
(That is a lie, im gonna die)

I will try to provide as much detail about these two as possible as well exploration sketches to complement. Hopefully it will help to get a better grasp on these characters.
The animation will be hand drawn, 2d.

Payment
I unfortunately do not count with a large sum of money, but i hope to be able to increase this in future projects. For now i will be paying 2$ per line. ( Negotiable indeed!!!)

Overall info
This is Cassius. A member of the high society of the southern continent. He is part of the species Spiderfolk, as everyone in this worldbuilding are anthropomorphic bugs. He has 4 eyes and 4 arms. He is based on a barn spider.
What do i need?+ Context
His voice is very upbeat, full of energy. He is constantly moving or fidgeting.
He has an adult male voice, not on the very deep side though but not extremely high neither.
You will have to do 5-6 lines
The animation will consist of Ed and Cass sitting down to negotiate buisness, Ed being new on the southern region and oblivious to the hierarchy already stablished on this place. Ed has punched Cass due to a misunderstanding in a previous party, but Cass decides to laugh it off and show Ed how things work around that place.
Once we are doing this, I will provide the script and other resources you might need, i will try to be as accesibleas possible but note my timezone is european.
Background
Cass comes from a wealthy family, they work with a wide assortment of products and their brand. They own a fashion brand and they are in charge of large events such as party hosting and other investements on Tv production.
He has 2 other coworkers beside Ed, a Pillbug and a Wasp. However for now, its only relevant the relationship with Edward, as he wants his train company to help him stablish a good transportation route for the fabric to the factories and other logistic solutions.
This setting by the way is located in time on the late 80's. Approximately as this is an alternative world. ( Edit- BIG MISTAKE I MENT LATE 80S AS LATE 1880 OH GOD XDXD. it doesn't interfere with voice acting submissions dw its just more of a self reminder XD)

No need to read this fully, but you might find it interesting or helpful. ( maybe im blabbering too much by now, sorry for the huge ass bible of description XD)
He is a very active person and quite upbeat, he likes parties, events, and knows quite a bit about fashion. The party saloon is his favourite place, and he enjoys his time playfully flirting or getting to know new people. He prefers that like other sedentary hobbies such as reading or litsening to the radio if its not in the move.
His agenda is quite busy and he is a well known and charismatic public figure.
Sometimes the pressure and expectations weight him down a bit, but he will always try to push through regardless, he overall tries to keep a light mood.

This is Edward. A foreigner that just arrived onto southern continent for buisness.
He is part of the species Spiderfolk, as everyone in this worldbuilding are anthropomorphic bugs. He has 4 eyes and 2 arms.
He is based on a giant golden orb weaver. He goes by any pronoun, but his design is based on the bigger females.
What do i need?+ Context
I need a neutral or masculine sounding voice, his attitude fully changes however after he dies, but for now i was looking for a more formal tone for this video. He talks a bit fast.

The buisness consisted on the experimental and novelty of steam powered trains and the progress they wanted to install.
His assistant booked him a meeting with Cass and eventually they became best friends. He would be on charge of the logistics for him, and he would climb up to the hierarchy in this place.
He however will be killed later on by one of the circle, the Wasp lady i still have to name XD. But this scene happens way before that.
This setting by the way is located in time on the late 80's. Approximately as this is an alternative world. They are in the city rather than the countryside, and everything is more deco punk-ish.

He is more calm than Cass, preferring to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine while reading or taking a break. He is more like a wine aunt. And if shopping carts existed he would go downhill riding one of these.
More on the introvert side, but a bit unhinged once you get to know him. He is polite, but he can get a bit impulsive and reckless oftentime. Ed can spend a lot curing and preparing his appareance, hair, ironing his clothing and etc. He collects vests.
After he dies of a knife injury and his household gets cursed, he must find a way to undo it to peacefully die. He spends five years in isolation before he meets Vernon, a tarantula bartender. By then he probably sound unhinged as hell, and he probably talks like a madman.
Ed has a silver spider, the equivalent of what would be a cat.
Over these years Ed has been very centered on work, ending up neglecting some personal aspects of his life. Something he would come to regret later as he feels lonely, not really having had many real friends beyond buisness and money.
