Spice and Wolf Abridged Episode 1
Project Overview
We are looking for some voice actors to help us out with getting a Spice and Wolf Abridged off the ground. Warning, this is unpaid. The roles we are looking for at first right now are Lawrence, Holo, Chloe, and some of the Pasloe villagers. The rest will be added as we need them, so keep an eye out!

Kraft Lawrence is a peddling merchant. He is extremely talented with his trade, as well as intelligent in other fields as well. He doesn't handle surprises very well however expecting everything to fall into line. He is very prideful at first, but Holo eventually teaches him how to rely on others. For this, we are looking for an adult male with a deeper voice while being in their mid twenties.
(Angry) THEY STOP BELIEVING IN GOD THEY GET RICH, I NEVER BELIEVE IN HIM AND I’M POOR, WHAT THE FUCK!
(Trying to sell something, make me want to buy it) My friend, I am so glad you asked! You see, this wheat comes from a place where they grow it so that it can withstand the barren heat that even no desert know. It can survive the coldest, harshest lands known to mankind, why, even the cold north is dying to get their hands on this valuable bundle of grass!
(Frustrated/defeated) I could have been a baker, made some cakes, spent my money at the whore house, maybe find a wife, and die with the plague.
Holo is a snarky woman. Through her centuries of life, she has also become quite wise. We are looking for a rather medium pitch for Holo with some sass behind it.
(Irritated, annoyed) Hey Holo! I got a great idea! Let’s make a deal with some random kid in the middle of nowhere to make his wheat better! This totally won’t have any downsides at all! Thanks booze.
(Angry) OH SCREW YOU MAN!
(Embarrassed) S-Shut up. I knew that, I was testing your dumb mortal mind. Well since you have passed my trial, I shall allow you to gaze upon my wolf form with thine mortal eyes!
Chloe is an adventurous spirit. Upon reaching her adult hood and starting her life as a merchant, she began coming up with quick ways to make money, not always sticking to the honest way. She's a flirt and will do whatever she needs to to make money as well as get Lawrence to accept her. We are looking for a higher tone, around early 20s to late teens
(Flirty) Well, if you listen to me, I can promise you’ll have whatever you want for the rest of your life. A shop, food, alcohol, even … me
(Getting ready to discuss something very important) So then, Lawrence, I have something I’d like to talk about
*Howl like a wolf*
The mayor of Pasloe is a polite older man who has been a friend of Lawrence's for quite some time. He loves his village and is happy whenever the townsfolk can prosper. We are looking for a face of a sturdy, older gentleman, around the age of sixty.
(Happy)Thanks to you, we can start filling our village with Trenni coins, and maybe one day, even Lumion Gold
The Citizens of Pasloe are in high spirits right now thanks to their festival getting started. That being said, they have lost their faith in Holo as their goddess thanks to new farming techniques provided by Jarl Arendoht. Each line here is a different citizen, but be sure to give the all the lines a shot!
(Tired, Whiny)Come on Chloe, hurry up, I wanna go home!
(Playful) Look out! Holo’s gonna get away!
(Starts off hopeful and happy, gets more dejected) Get her! She’s heading for the shed … Like everyone does … cause that’s where we lock them. Why is this fun again?
The feel we are going for this character is a nice guy who comes off as rather creepy. Prefer high pitched but will take whoever we think nails the performance! For reference look to Hawk Abridging's Fate Zero episode 6, specifically the Assassin.
(Creepy, high pitched and loud, for reference think of assassin from Hawk Abridging’s fate zero abridged episode 6) “Why Hello there mister merchant!”
(Hopeful, still high pitched): Do you have a moment to listen about our lord and savior Jesus Christ?
(apologetic) No wait I was kidding!
