Hello! My name is Ash, the main director, and welcome to the Sonic the Hedgehog casting call! We’ll be dubbing a variety of fan comics & official comics.

Please note that this is an unpaid project. However, all voice actors and editors will receive proper credit, and it's a great opportunity to be part of a creative team, gain experience, and showcase your talent to a wider audience.
Deadline is May 2nd, 2025, at 12:00 pm PDT.
GUIDELINES:
Please record 1-3 takes for each character and label the file as: YourName_CharacterName_SonicAudition.mp3
Take order in the AABBCC format.
Do NOT slate.
Auditioning for multiple characters is allowed.
Your audition must have good audio quality with little to no background noise.
If you decide to use a voice effect for a character, please leave in the unedited takes.
Some roles will already have been filled by me and other actors! If a character isn't on the list, don't ask if they're available.
Please include your Discord! We'll be using it as our main source for communication.
Communcation is key! If I can't get in touch with you after long periods of time consistently, then I'll have to let someone else take the role.
Meeting deadlines is important but communicate with me if you cannot meet said deadline.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
During his many adventures, Sonic has traveled from the ends of the world to the far reaches of space and time, earning many titles, allies, and foes. Known for his attitude and somewhat short temper, yet strong sense of justice and love for freedom, Sonic's victories have made him a celebrated hero. However, he remains indifferent to his fame, preferring to live on his own terms.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Tails is loyal, kind and curious. In his early years, he was frequently bullied for his twin tails. His life took a positive turn when he met Sonic, forming an unbreakable bond with him. This relationship has made him more confident, growing into a more outgoing, brave, independent individual who strives to become a hero in his own right.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
A loner by nature, Knuckles is independent, headstrong, and serious, yet gullible and short-tempered to a fault. He is entirely devoted to his duty, spending most of his time on Angel Island protecting the Master Emerald and rarely cares about anything that is of no importance. When his friends and others are in need of his help, however, Knuckles can always be relied on, being willing to leave his home very often. Though more recently has committed himself to getting off and exploring Earth more often.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Amy is a cheerful, though slightly erratic girl, with a positive attitude and nature and boundless energy. However, she has a fiery temper and her feelings with Sonic makes her short-sighted and a bit obsessive about him, having followed him everywhere since meeting him. Nevertheless, she has a pure heart and will not let anything stop her.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Big spends most of his time fishing in tranquility with his best friend, Froggy. Not one for going on grand adventures, Big prefers his peaceful and quiet lifestyle in the jungle. However, should his friends be in danger or in need of his aid, Big will not hesitate to leave his home to help them out and protect them in any way he can such as when he joined up with Team Rose.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Eggman continually devises plots to achieve world domination, which range from using animals to power his robots, known as Badniks, to constructing massive war machines, harnessing ancient powers, and manipulating spacetime itself. Despite his genius, his plans are always foiled by Sonic and his friends. Nevertheless, Eggman remains undeterred, always managing to escape capture and continuing his quest for conquest. His narcissism and immature behavior often lead to his downfall, but his unrelenting pursuit of power makes him one of the most dangerous threats in the universe.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
While frail in appearance, Maria was strong in spirit. Eternally cheerful, optimistic and positive despite her condition, Maria could see the good in almost anyone or anything. She was likewise a very kind, loving and generous soul who always put others before herself, supported her friends, and held an unconditional love for the people of the world, even showing compassion towards her enemies when they were distressed. Because she never got to visit Earth after she was moved to the Space Colony ARK, Maria was very interested in the planet and wished to see it. She was as well very encouraging as she could make others accept themselves and calm others down when in stressful situations, including Shadow. She had unwavering faith in the people she trusted, as she strongly believed that Shadow and her grandfather would cure her illness.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Serious and intelligent, Orbot is loyal to Eggman. However, he does not like him very much, and his spiteful sarcasm sometimes provokes the anger of his creator.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
While loyal to Eggman, Cubot is dim-witted and lazy. He also has a faulty voice chip which causes him to randomly switch between different accents and personalities for a moment, though after the slapping by Orbot during the Wisp incident, Cubot seems to gain full control of it and can change it the way he wants.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Shadow is, bluntly put, a brooding loner. He usually acts with a cool and businesslike indifference, only occasionally showing his vulnerable side. He is rarely seen with others for an extended period of time and usually distances himself from essentially everyone as a natural introvert. He is usually blunt and does not speak much, but he always knows exactly what to say in combat. However, Shadow never bluffs; if he makes a threat, he has every intention of carrying it out.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Rouge is in short, an enigma, as her motivations are always in question. In truth, she is usually just out for herself. She is incredibly smart, sassy, and fearless, and knows how to get what she wants. Once she has a target in mind, she always goes for it, regardless of the costs. She is a calculating realist, and her motives are always mercenary in nature. Regardless, she is loyal to her closest friends and has more than once helped Sonic and his allies save the world.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Omega's only goals in life are to take revenge on Eggman for wasting his potential and destroy the doctor's other robots to prove himself superior. These two goals are absolute above all else in Omega's eyes. As a result, he tends to be extremely headstrong, reckless, aggressive, and destructive - decimating anything that gets in his way.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Known for his great love of music, Vector's trademark is a pair of headphones which he always listens to. Despite his rough appearance and sometimes rude manners indicating otherwise, Vector is a capable detective and natural leader with a clear, deductive mind who will always see cases through until he deems them solved.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Espio is a calm and quiet chameleon, but also overly cautious and disciplined. However, his wariness and soulful character makes him a vital member of Team Chaotix, where his presence plays an important role as a restraint among his coworkers, who tend to be optimistic and energetic. Espio likewise thrives on the dangers of his missions, and although he is quite confident in his ninjutsu, he feels it is aesthetically pleasing to stay in the shadows as a ninja should.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Charmy's trademarks are his flight suit and helmet. Always flying around energetically and annoying his coworkers, Charmy is hyperactive, childish and loves more to play than work. However, his intuition is nonetheless an invaluable assist to the Chaotix Detective Agency, and he serves as a crucial part of their team.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Blaze is normally calm and elegant but tends to conceal her true feelings. Devoted to her position, she sometimes gets herself bogged down by her own strict discipline, which made her anti-social, shy, and unfamiliar with the concept of having friends. After spending time with Amy and Cream and meeting Sonic however, Blaze has discovered the true meaning of friendship, allowing her to accomplish tasks for the good of her people and the innocent which she could never do alone. Despite the initial boundaries separating them, Blaze now travels freely between her dimension and Sonic's to visit her friends.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Heroic, optimistic, and just as fearless as Sonic, Tangle is scrappy and loves to tangle with bad guys. Not intimidated by danger in the slightest, she has a thirst for adventure and excitement and craves new challenges for herself. As such, she is capable of heading into mortal peril and face deadly odds, all while wearing a smile on her face and having the time of her life. However, her desire for adventure makes her reckless and prone to charging headlong into danger without a care in the world. She can also be somewhat careless in battle, like using her tail in a way that gets it injured and getting so caught up in her own excitement that she forgets to watch out for enemies.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Surge possesses Sonic's indomitable and free spirit, albeit in a twisted and sinister way. She is a roguish speedster with an arrogant, cocky, and hot-tempered disposition, taking great pride in her prowess and bragging at any given opportunity. She is also fearless and bold, rarely showing any form of worry or concern, even in situations that are troublesome or possibly beyond her capabilities. When push comes to shove, however, she tends to give in to anger, causing her to become a more volatile force.
