Skyburner (Sci-Fi Minecraft Series)
Project Overview
Synopsis:
A group of misfit corsairs, otherwise known as ‘space pirates’, attempt to escape the most secure and hellish prison in the Sol System—dragging along an unsuspecting journalist caught in the chaos.
Requirements:
Preferably 18+ voice actors, since the film has violent content.
Discord is required for communication.
A high quality microphone.
Further Information:
Skyburner is a three episode mini series (roughly 45 minutes in total) set in the Awoken universe - SI's original science fiction universe! Written and directed by Meesha. The film will follow a similar filming and design style as Awoken Season 1 and Ad Gloriam.
This project has some violent content and light swearing.
More information on the roles and script will be shared with voice actors after casting.
I’ll (Meesha) be offering live directing to voice actors that are interested, but this isn’t compulsory. If you want to record in your own time that is perfectly fine!
We’re aiming to have most of the voice recording done before the end of February 2025 so we can start filming in March.

Role: Supporting Character
Age: Mid 20s

Personality & Backstory:
Nikolai is a Venusian pilot; tough, no-nonsense, and very direct. English is not his first language, and in Skyburner he’s still learning, so his speech is often broken and straightforward. Despite his rough edges, he’s reliable and loyal to his Captain. As an “old school” pilot, Nikolai prefers flying manually, distrustful of the newer tech like neuralink, believing it to be a way for corporations to spy. He believes in having all the details before acting, a habit that comes from his experience as a pilot which relies on precision and a deep understanding of his ship. While this makes him cautious, it also makes him incredibly skilled—and dangerous.
Note: Please keep in mind that we’ll need some sound effects for Nikolai for fight scenes. Dialogue will be recorded before animating, and sound effects will be dubbed over the footage afterwards. This character curses.

Personality & Backstory:
You’ll never meet a guy more loyal than Vega. An ex-Martian soldier who served under House Astriel as a drone operator, he’s physically very strong—so strong, in fact, that he tends to break things by accident. Despite looking the part of a typical Martian, Vega breaks almost every other Martian stereotype. He’s upbeat and optimistic, always managing to maintain a positive outlook no matter the situation. His trust in his Captain is unwavering, and he considers them a close friend. Vega has a relaxed, easy-going demeanor, and is a big softie! And when it comes to dancing? He’s hopeless—but it’s part of his charm.

Judy Tarrick is the Warden of Deimos prison. Former military, her hard-edged, disciplined approach to life and her job gives her a sharp, commanding and unforgiving demeanor that leaves no room for negotiation or weakness. She’s all about control and survival, and strictly loyal to the Martian Republic. She’s not here to be liked; she’s here to maintain order, and she makes sure everyone knows it.

(annoyed) I don’t care who you are. You’re Jovian, you’re from Europa, and we caught you on a flagged pirate ship. That’s enough to put you away. Hell, it’s enough to make sure you never see Jupiter ever again.

Mickey is a Jovian cybernetic engineer with a confident, street-smart attitude. He’s sharp, quick-witted and doesn’t tolerate disrespect. He’s a bit of a show off with his skills because he knows he’s one of the best in his field, and he’s sought out by many who want higher end cybernetics.
