Project Overview

FINAL ROUND OF CASTING

Welcome to Rogues of Remnant! We are a group compiled of RWBY fans who want to create a prosperous project all having to do with the RWBY characters and their world of Remnant! 

From this project, you can expect:

This is a project created by RWBY fans for RWBY fans, so this is an unpaid project. If you decide to be a part of our community, I know that you will not regret the community that you will form with your fellow cast and crewmates. Roles are organized from top to bottom based on the significance of the characters. Within those categories, the characters are further organized by how soon they will appear in the show. 

While we do look for voice accuracy in auditions, it is NOT the primary thing we look for. The most important thing we look for in auditions is how well you embody the character. For example, you could sound like Ambrosius's VA 100%, but if you cannot express his flamboyant personality and the presence of his character, you most likely will not be cast. Expressiveness is so incredibly important.

We will be using lines from the actual show as the audition lines just to get a feel for how you interpret the character. Again, do not worry about vocal accuracy towards the actual show, but please do play towards the ages of the characters.

We are also looking for video editors as well! Payment as of now is TBD but we would hope to eventually be able to compensate editors properly.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Roman Torchwick is the primary antagonist for Volume 1. He is a crime boss in Vale whose main ambition for the first volume is to steal as much Dust as possible in order to fuel a greater scheme. His partner-in-crime is Neo, a neopolitan-themed girl who is the prime definition of silent but deadly. Roman is used as a pawn to assemble a partnership between the Vale branch of the White Fang organization and Cinder's faction of antagonists. He is very snarky, sly and sinister as shown by him having no remorse for others around him. He can even be a bit flirty in order to get his way.

In our abridged version, Roman suffers from a Main Character Complex where he always believes himself to be the center of the story and never fails to remind people of that fact. He is over the top and theatrical, but also dark and sinister at the same time.

VOCAL CHARACTERISTICS

Throughout Roman's appearance in the show, he is in his early 30s. He can sound very sly, mischievous, and sarcastic but isn't afraid to show off his angry side as well. Medium-low to low adult male voice.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Nora Valkyrie is one of the four members of Team JNPR, the secondary team of the show. She has a close relationship with Lie Ren, her best friend that she has known since childhood. She's inhumanely energetic and powerful, comically shown to be able to lift a 1000lb weight. She deeply cares about the bond between her teammates, and she's willing to use whatever power she has to defend them. While she seems a bit floaty and dreamy at times, she can also be down-to-earth and isn't afraid to speak her mind in moments of turmoil.

Medium to medium-high young female vocal range. Has an interesting, slightly raspy twang to her voice. Prone to yelling or intense exclamations, so be wary before you audition

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Oscar Pine is a young boy who had dreamt about leaving his farm home in pursuit of a more exciting life. His life ends up changing after the Fall of Beacon when his own entity is merged with the soul of former Beacon Headmaster, Professor Ozpin. He is very innocent, but he is not afraid of doing whatever it takes to accomplish the right thing. His way of solving conflicts does not occur through violence, but by using the wisdom bestowed to him.

Oscar is 14 years old during his first appearance, aging slowly throughout the future volumes. He has a young, boyish, slightly raspy voice. He is quite shy at times, but can also be very bold as he grows to be stronger and braver.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Sun Wukong is the leader of Team SSSN. He is a very fun and mischievous monkey Faunus who has described himself as a "great stowaway". He is very laid-back and casual while participating in day-to-day conversation, but when thrust into life outside of the academy setting, he becomes much more hard-working, loyal and honest. He strives towards being a better leader for his teammates, Sage, Scarlet and Neptune.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Kali is the mother of Blake Belladonna. She is very protective over her family, but she also loves to carry a sense of smugness while carrying a light conversation. She gets feisty and aggressive when her home is being endangered.

Kali has a sultry-esque voice. Low female vocal range. Kali is roughly in her late 40s. When in action however, her battle cries are very intense, so any auditionees must keep that in mind when auditioning for this role.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Harriet is a member of the AceOps of Atlas. She's the most hot-headed of the group, and she doesn't consider any of her teammates as friends. She'd be the first person to point fingers in accusation towards other people in order to prove a point. She's incredibly fast and skilled when it comes to a fight.

Harriet is roughly in her mid to late-20s. Medium-low female vocal range. Very capable of throwing out blood-curdling screams and battle cries, which should be kept in mind when auditioning for this role.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Elm is a member of the AceOps of Atlas. She is very much the pillar for the team and tries to keep everyone in check as much as possible. In terms of brawn, Elm is by far the strongest member. She is very headstrong, and she always follows the orders given to her by General Ironwood.

Elm is roughly in her mid to late-20s. Low female vocal range. She has quite a dramatic voice. She has scenes where she speaks in a very serious tone and others where she is friendly and outgoing.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Robyn Hill is the leader of the Happy Huntresses, a group of women dedicated to protecting the citizens of Mantle. Robyn herself is very witty and sarcastic, but she is also quite stoic and headstrong. She's very direct and does not shy away from the truth. As a politician of Mantle, she seeks to be a beacon of light for the citizens of Mantle and has no sympathy for the upper class.

Sienna Khan was the High Leader of the White Fang after Ghira Belladonna had stepped down from the position. She believes in using violence in the protests against the humans, however she is not a senseless killer. She uses violence only when violence is necessary.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Jinn is a genie-like spirit that resides in one of the relics created by the God of Light. She has the ability to answer any three questions every 100 years. Jinn can be summoned from the Lamp of Knowledge simply be speaking her name.

Low female vocal range. While she does not have any accent, she does speak very formally. Must also be able to convey and deliver potential lines as if reading a storybook. Because she is a spirit, she does not have a defined age and has lived since the creation of humanity.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Terra Cotta-Arc is married to Jaune's eldest sister, Saphron. Her and her wife both live happily in Argus with their adopted son, Adrian. Terra is very hard-working and serious, however, she is still quite kind. Due to her strenuous job of having to work as a communications technician for the city of Argus, she often comes home being incredibly exhausted with barely enough time to be with her family.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Cordovin is the head of the Argus Military Base, which defends and monitors all traffic going between Argus and Atlas. She has a long and conflicted history with Maria Calavera, lasting until both women were even into their elderly years. She appears to be high and mighty and shows the utmost loyalty to General Ironwood and the Kingdom of Atlas. Cordovin most definitely believes in the supremacy of the military.

Medium elderly female vocal range. Definitely angry and proud all the time, so expect one or the other while auditioning for this role. Please also keep in mind that you must be able to show genuine rage.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Pietro Polendina was the man who created Penny, the first synthetic human capable of generating an aura. He was one of the lead scientists of Atlas, working under General Ironwood's command. He is devoted to protecting his daughter at the cost of giving her his own life source. His scientific creations are widely praised.

Joanna Greenleaf is one of the Happy Huntresses dedicated to protecting the people of Mantle. Joanna herself is very up-front and confrontational. She isn't afraid to get dirty for the sake of helping others. She's incredibly supportive of her own teammates, and her bravery never falters when faced with danger.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Ambrosius is the being that resides inside of the Staff of Creation. He is described by Ozpin as being "a character". He's incredibly flamboyant and boisterous. He can be a little temperamental as he will only create something word for word, warning his summoner to be very careful about the directions that they give him.

We are looking for editors who are able to smoothly match lip-syncing and audio clips together, as well as being able to make proper comedic transitions between scenes. Be able to comfortably communicate with the rest of the team in terms of direction, creative ideas, etc. We are not rushing to have episodes released, so it is beyond encouraged that you absolutely take your time with creating the best product possible.
