Rifted Recasting
Project Overview
Running from the required two years of service in the Dravara isn’t unusual, and oftentimes facing a bounty hunter is better than what lies east. Aurora makes the decision to flee, but in a tragic turn of events Aurora is separated from his family, and left to fend for himself. What prowls over the Rift quickly becomes more than just fairy-tale and he discovers that not everything is exactly as it seems. What follows is nothing short of a revolution.
Rifted is an independent fantasy adventure podcast with a focus on LGBTQ+ representation in both characters and our cast.

This is a paid role and is a RECASTING. Unfortunately, due to some really major health issues, one of our cast had to step down. We are seeking to find someone who can take over her role!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING
Josephine (dark hair, left) is a young woman, somewhere in her early 20s. We are seeking
someone who can match the previous actor's cadence and voice, but obviously not looking for
something exact. She tends to over-explain, talk more than she needs to and tends to be very
enthusiastic in her speech patterns. She's very friendly, probably overly so, and tends to
overshare information readily with people. In truth, she's a survivor of some fairly horrific abuse
and trauma, but is one of the most well adjusted characters in Rifted due to her ability to face
that and the work she and her adoptive mom have put into healing.
She has a fiancé, another young woman of about the same age named Elizabeth (red hair,
right).
We are a cast and crew made up of primarily LGBTQ+ folks, so having others who can find
similar representation in their characters is something we've tried to achieve but absolutely isn't
required to audition. However, the podcast is focused on pretty major representation for the
LGBTQ+ community without it being the focus of the story, and anyone wanting to apply must
be comfortable and supportive of that.

JOSEPHINE (flustered, laughing): I...yes, that's me. (she clears her throat) She...mentioned me?
JOSEPHINE: Oh, no! Engaged, actually, but only because we don't get a lot of time to plan a wedding with everything going on.
JOSEPHINE (amused, still casual): Goddesses, it was. (she laughs) Living with Emery and trying not to laugh because your face is all carved up is impossible. I pulled more stitches that way, I swear.
