Project Overview
[introduction]
Raw is an experimental machinima detailing the life of a boarding school student teetering on the fine line of expulsion, and another whose psychotic tendencies are threatening to emerge.
[summary]
Elizabeth was the newly appointed member of the most popular clique in Grove Academy, chosen for her decent cheekbones and unshaken confidence. But she was out faster than she was in - all it took was a swift punch to the nose of the school's princess, Audrey. Elizabeth finds herself spiraling, paranoid at the thought of being forcefully returned to her hometown after her outburst of violence, and shunned by true friends she left for promises of popularity. Her life seemed to be going nowhere, that is until a meek, timid student who recently transferred from Ohio appeared along with his twin, and he introduced Elizabeth to his mentality of 'just existing.' The two became incredibly tight-knit, but as time went on Elizabeth could see the monster she was creating - yet unbeknowst to her, Elliott's reign of terror had already began.

Elizabeth is a charming, yet aggressive girl who has barely turned seventeen. Raised for most of her life in a less than desirable town in Illinois, her mother shipped her off to a boarding school in Elk Creek, Washington on a scholarship once familial issues came to the surface. Paired with her brash attitude, she is bitter and holds many grudges that weigh her down, leading many of her peers to think she is irredeemably unkind.
Voice: Medium. Can typically sound a bit monotone.
[Upbeat/Laughing] Honestly, she better be thanking me tomorrow. All that cash and her parents can't even get her a nose job.
[Angry] What the fuck is wrong with you, psycho?!
[Reflective/Neutral] Life is bleak.
Elliot is a seventeen year old boy originating from a bolt marriage between a musician from Ohio and one of his groupies. He has a twin brother who is usually quite protective over him, much to his dismay. He resents his father immensely, more concerned with avoiding becoming like him and less with his sociopathic qualities blooming, the first signs beginning with his ruthless killing of animals, which initially unbeknownst to him can only lead into something bigger.
Voice: Any, just be capable of sounding manic.
[Timid] Nice to see you again.
[Crazed/Mad] Could you unlock the door, please?
[Flustered] Goddammit, stop going through my stuff!
Audrey is a sixteen year old, and arguably the most infamous girl at Grove Academy. She is, obviously, seen as a gateway to all the best penthouse parties in town, and seems to have a preference for college guys and older, which has gotten her into undesirable situations more than once. Audrey genuinely believes that how she treats others is out of the good of her heart, always feeling that others are in constant need of improvement, without looking at herself.
Voice: Any pitch, snobby.
[Frustrated] I practically made you, and I can get rid of you just as easily.
[Shocked] She's a fucking monster.
[Upbeat, mocking] Elizabeth, meet me after school, we're gonna get you some real clothes.
Undoubtedly the least catty member of Audrey's clique (simultaneously doesn't say much), and perhaps the brainiest. She sees a good side to everybody (potentially to a fault), including Audrey. There are many rumours surrounding her sexuality ever since an incident in freshman year, which she believes Audrey saved her from. Heather practically owns a zoo at her house, with a countless number of cats - a quality she is very proud of.
Voice: High, peppy.
[Pitying] If you ever want help with physics, just let me know.
[Excited/Greeting] Audrey, hey! [Shocked] Oh my god, what happened to you?
[Stumbling over words/Unsure] I'm sure there's *some* kind of explanation for why that happened.
One of Audrey's selected minions, who has been more or less by her side since the beginning of middle school. Despite her blatant anything-for-Audrey attitude, she is set in the idea that she will soon overtake her in Grove Academy's hierarchy. Close with Elliot's twin brother, Josh, and is occasionally open to lighting up with Elizabeth.
Voice: Any.
[Annoyed] Ignore her Audrey, she has no idea what she's talking about.
You don't even go here anymore, who the hell do you think you are?
[Bored] Horrible bone structure, next please.
Emma Rothschild is a seventeen year old student at Elk Creek High, having transferred from Grove Academy nearly a year ago. She used to be close-knit with Elizabeth Pickett, but the two drifted apart when she switched schools for financial reasons, and keeping in contact has been hard due to Elizabeth's change in demeanour. At home, Emma has family issues and despite wanting to run away, she would rather stay at home and protect her brother.
Voice: Any. Timid, often stutters.
[Shy, happy] I'd love to hang out sometime, [Mumbling] whenever you're free.
[Frustrated] I know this isn't the real you.
[Stumbling over words, concerned] Mom, are you okay?
The oldest junior at Grove Academy, held back for her lack of focus on schoolwork, rather spending her time blazing it in the school's bathrooms. She is of Swedish *heritage* (so basically, feel free to apply with any accent.). Considered a high-risk student by staff, probably because she's been rumoured to deal cheap ecstasy to freshmen. Openly gay, and ready to mingle.
Voice: Any.
Simple, deal cheap shit to the kids around here. Easy profit.
[Dazed] I consider myself.. very spiritual. Or maybe I'm just high.
[Monotone]I don't know dude, he just gives me bad vibes.
Older twin brother of Elliot, Josh is inclusive yet blunt and straight-to-the-point, his warm demeanour making him capable of digging information out of anyone. He transferred over to Grove Academy along with his brother due to the relentless bullying at school over his sexuality, much to the less extroverted Elliot's dismay.
Voice: Any.
Elliot, didn't mom tell you not to hang out with stoners?
[Realizing/Pleased] Oh, so you're the infamous popular girl gone bad. ...Did you really box Audrey?
[Interested] That must've been amazing - tell me how it happened.
Lucas is the smarter half of the jock duo, but he keeps his nerdiness under the guise of a harsh and uncaring football player. He often picks on new students and evidently has unrequited love towards Isabelle, despite undoubtedly falling into Audrey's traps. While Emma Rothschild was still a student at Grove Academy, he befriended her and gained her trust, only to humiliate her as a favour for Audrey.
Voice: Any.
[Arrogant] Check it out, I guess geeks really do flock together.
[Annoyed] Quit staring at me, freak.
[Concerned] Shit, Isabelle, is Audrey okay?
A seemingly irredeemable doofy jock. He enjoys bullying other students at Grove Academy, yet held a football game for an animal rescue charity - a cause he is incredibly passionate about. David fails in a multitude of his classes, and always asks Heather for help tutoring him, practically to no avail. Is usually thought of as a carbon copy of Lucas, but we see his individuality come out as he feels regret for his actions.
Voice: Any.
I don't know, man, I mean his life already looks shitty enough. Maybe we shouldn't.
[Panicked] Just let me go, I won't even tell anybody how much of a freak you are, I swear!
[Laughing] I told you she was weird as hell, dude.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. I will need multiple people as extras. Please be okay with playing multiple characters!
(Student) [Frustrated] A GROUP project is supposed to be a GROUP effort.
(Police Officer) I checked the area out, just looked like a couple of teenagers hanging around.
(Teacher) I'll expect you all to have your homework ready to be turned in on Monday - yes, that includes you.
