Project Overview


  2. THE DEADLINE WILL CONTINUOUSLY BE EXTENDED UNTIL I HAVE DECIDED ON A VOICE ACTOR FOR EACH AND EVERY CHARACTER!!! ALSO THE CHARACTERS PROFILES AREN'T FULLY DONE YET SO THERE ARE SOME REFERENCE PICTURES I USED TO SKETCH THEM OUT, BE PATIENT FOR THEIR FINAL DESIGN!!

Hi. Scarlett here, I decided to make a CastingCall for some of my characters. The characters are all from a single book I am writing. (It may or may not become an actual novel :'3) Some characters aren't mine whatsoever and where generated by some friends or I helped create them, only a few are purely mine.

The novel/book will follow the story line of a high school girl called Scarlett Grey (Yes, she is based off of me :3) when a sudden zombie apocalypse strikes. She escapes the un-dead 'Rotters' (That's the title of 'zombies' in the book) but she encounters some 'Revenats' (A Revenat is basically a rotter/zombie but they have their humanity intact still and can speak etc. Some can be granted with power, just a short.... SHORT summary of them) who eventually turn her into one of them. Her journey is long and she learns what it means to be loved, cared for and fights for what she believes is right.

-REQUIREMENTS-

There are no MAJOR requirements to audition for a role, realistically once you are cast, your voice may not be needed for a while or if I decide to make a short trailer or whatnot but here are a few.

1) Have at least a decent mic. Please don't record on a toaster :D

2) Minimum to no back ground noises, it gets frustrating ;-;

3) Respect others auditions and/or casted people.

4) Have emotion in your voice (Unless you are auditioning for someone who is emotionless :3)

5) Try out different styles of your voice, there isn't really a designated way to speak as any of these characters. That's one of the reasons I decided to make this!

6) Just have fun doing it! What's the point of doing anything if you can't enjoy it? :3

  • Trailer script has been writen

    I just finished typing up the trailer for the series and I want people's opinions. Also I am in conflict about a title for the series, I have narrowed my options down to 3 possible answers.   • Added extra roles & Expanded deadline.

    Just added some roles and expanded the deadline to the end of april.

  • All roles are edited!

    All the roles and the description are now fully edited! There are 3 more roles I plan to add but I must speak with the creator of them before I can add them. I may or may not be adding extra characters during this but it depends. I have already started work on the layout of the novel and if I feel like it I might make it an animatic series or even an animation series in general. The story line so far is going smoothly and I will make a document in the future with the chapter summaries written in it! That's all for now. ~Scarlett~

Scarlett Grey is the main role in the story. She faces the true meanings of friendship, grief and love. She cannot pick things easily so it makes things hard to decide on if she was in charge. Scarlett likes to think of herself as a masochist but is really physically sensitive. She loves her family and sometimes experiences short term effects of depression but loves her life all the same. As a child, she learnt karate for 2-3 years so she can easily defend herself. Her hair was dyed purple because she was in a stage a few years back about her being a narcissist, she dyed her hair to stand out but even though she doesn't think like that anymore, she doesn't regret her hair decision.

Slade Gerret

Slade Gerret, one of the Revenats that find Scarlett. He is very aggressive all the time, he never lets his guard down. His eyes are a piercing blue and whenever he is using his 'power' they illuminate. His power's consist of being able to read minds at a close distance and extremely  adaptable to temperature changes. His voice can legit be anything I have no care for this. Just be creative!

  • Hey guys, the runts awake. ... What? *Slightly sinister chuckle* Get up princess~ Or I'll make you. (-This is really hard to describe xD- At first he is calm and slightly annoyed, then surprise, flirtatious and then menacing -Was that sufficient?-)

  • Y-You... S..... Stop it.... LEAVE HER ALONE (Upset and scared then just scream your head off :D)

  • Woah woah woah. What is going on in there? (Holding in laughter while pissing someone else off :3)

Hutch McCather is another one of the revenats who find Scarlett. He doesn't talk very much because his powers affect his vocal cords. Hutch is the tallest of the 3 main Revenats but he is the second eldest. His powers consist of being able to summon 'entitiee' (That will be explained later) and can jump 2 times his height. His voice should be slightly deep but I really don't mind! :3

  • *Puking sounds* Meet *Cough* Akuma, James and Kitsune..... My entities (Some form of pain and very drowzy)

  • Eat this. It's that or convert to a rotter. (Very stern and concerned)

  • Wow.... You just ate my slice of cake... I am gonna rip your legs off.... (Very calm but with a angry tone)

Reed Salvan, the 3rd revenats that find Scarlett, he is basically the runt of the litter. Reed was originally part of a government operation to save survivors from the main cities in Australia, but was cornered at some point by both Slade and Hutch. They turned him into a Revenat using blood from a very sacred bloodline. He was given the power to shapeshift into anything he consumes, he doesn't understand how but his main form is a spider. He acts like a flirt and swears alot to express his emotions. Again. I don't mind how you interpertate his voice aslong as YOU think it fits the character.

  • Out of everything......... WHY A SPIDER?! (Disapointed and then angrivated)

  • Oh! You found a female revenat?! Awesome.. What's your name, beautiful? (Surprised and then flirty)

  • What..... Y-You're kidding right? (Surprised and then worried. Try making your voice crack when he says 'kidding', the character is most likely going to have lots of voice cracks.)

Gabrielle is one of the surviving female revenats, but she is in hiding. The trio along with Scarlett come across her cafe that her family owns and Scarlett and her get into a stand down, eventually they figure out what is going on and make an agreement, Gabrielle joins the 4 on their journey to stop the apocalypse. Gabrielle is much like the 'badass' types, she was taught taekwondo as a child so she is very hard to beat in a battle. She is the closest to Scarlett, friendship wise, and absolutely DESPISES the guys.

Otto is a little dog who is rescued by Gabrielle while they are walking through an abandoned town. He is very loyal to Gabrielle but enjoys the others company. He is very protective of them as well as feisty. When Slade sets up a psychic link between the group and Otto, his mental voice sounds like a small child but has the thoughts of a teenager, most find him adorable.

  • Hey, hey, hey! Down here mistress! I found something! (A little annoyed because he was ignored but very proud)

  • Oh my goodness. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?! (Scared and surprised)

  • I ain't one of those stupid dogs that sit there and watch the world turn inside out. I live thank you! (Very VERY strict tone and very annoyed)

Vincent edwards, one of the revenats, isn't anywhere near friends with the other 3 main revenats. He blames himself for the sudden apocalypse, he stopped the thing keeping the revenats alive coming into the forbidden city, which turned the revenats into mindless rotters. He is in pursuit of the trio to stop them from completeing their mission to stopping the apocalypse, but he has taken a liking to the one they want to stop everything he caused. Again, his voice can be anything you think would fit this sadistic guy!

  • I know the dangers of letting her live but....... I just can't. (Sad and protective)

  • Any last words.... Heh, princess? (Sadistic and very antagonistic)

  • Learn your place. Yes, I started the problem which ended so many of your friends and family. So suck it up or you can join them. (Very aggrivated and stern)

Akirave Gerret is the 'father' of Slade, he has psychic powers but his consist of being able to take over peoples bodies and control them. He is titled the 'king' of the 'good' revenats but he does the classic wrong thing for the right reason. When the group returns to where the rest of the revenats are living, Akirave instantly captures both Gabrielle and Scarlett to study them and see what makes them tick. His voice should sound like a fathers voice or adults, but again I DON'T MIND :D!

Jack is Vincent's right hand man, where ever Vincent is, Jack wouldn't be too far away. Jack is also a revenat, similar to Reed's story, he was turned during the start of the apocalypse. Jacks treats Vincent as a big brother but does whatever he says because he saved his life. Jack doesn't show emotion because he is 'broken' or as he says. He doesn't play a big part of the story but it would be a load different if wasn't in it. His voice can... AGAIN... be anything, just play around with it.

  • Her? Out of all the girls still alive... why this one? (Surprised and questioning)

  • You don't understand.. I wouldn't be alive without Vince... YOU'RE ALL LIARS!! (Slightly upset then VERY aggravated)

Adamachi (A-Duh-Mah-Chee)

Adamachi is the entity that Scarlett summons during her power generating. He is the oldest of all the entities. He wears a straw bag over his head to keep control of his power. His body build is very slender and instead of hands or feet, they sharpen into weapons, he usually doesn't walk far. His voice should be slightly ominous since he is from another realm all together but..... OF COURSE.... I don't mind, have a play around with it!

  • Yeah, I know Akuma. He is really great. (Sarcastic)

  • I'm not here for a fancy companion, my dear. I can offer you my powers but we would have to morph and it... is very... painful. (Stern, concerned and worried)
