R.O.Y.G.B.I.V. Pilot
Project Overview
This is just a test for me to see how well the initial timing works out for the script read. If anyone would be willing to help me out that would be great. This is for a cartoon series I am trying to write about superheroes with LBGT+ themes.
I'd love to hear everyone's auditions and hopefully this can be a way to get some more experience without having a huge commitment over your head. As of now, I have no concrete plans for hiring voice actors for this series, so this experiment will be a solo gig, once and done.
I would obviously prefer better microphone quality but I know that not everyone has access to that, so for your auditions, I just try to ask that you have no noises in the background. No dogs barking, fans running, people shouting, etc.
I don't have the budget to pay people much right now, so this will be a fixed rate project, but I'll still very much appreciate anyone who would still be willing to help me out.

The Red Dragon (Rosalina Li) Asian (Chinese). She is currently in her second year of a 4 year college going for a business degree. Bisexual.
Her personality is fiery and bright. She can be hot-headed and stubborn at the best of times but has a fierce loyalty for those she considers worthy. She's pretty charismatic. She acts like an open book but actually plays it very secretive. And is an excellent liar. (I see her as a Robin type leader from Teen Titans. Serious but also able to joke around.)
Superpower: Fire. Super strength and durability. And flying. Hence, why she's known as The Red Dragon.
Hero name: The Red Dragon.
She has 52 lines.
(The Red Dragon is lecturing her teammate about being late to practice and not taking the hero life seriously. She is not yelling, she is being stern and a bit sarcastic toward the end.)
I don’t care where you were, but I hope you don’t let people down like this when they’re actually counting on you. Like in the middle of a fight. It could be life or death, but I hope you don’t have something else you need to take care of then. Next time,I won’t be so lenient.
(This isn't a mean comment, but it does come off as a bit incredulous or playful.)

(She is having a revelation about the way the villain's powers work and is explaining it to the team after their battle.
When we were facing off against Paralysis, we were about to overpower her when suddenly she said something about someone causing her pain. I think in some twisted way, their powers were influenced or affected by their pain?
Hermes. (Oliver Reese.) 20 years old. Black. Glasses. He is currently in his 3rd year of college and is studying to be a doctor. Straight.
He is kind of a big nerd and a fan of many comic books. He has a hard time not correcting people. He likes to think things through before doing anything rash. And he's always the one to bring up any potential flaws in a plan. He actually hates being wrong very badly but hides it pretty well.
Superpower: He can summon lost things.
Hero name: Hermes. (Because in mythology, he is the God of Lost Things.)
He has 27 lines.
(Explanation mode. Not annoyed just calmly.)
As I was saying earlier based on my theory that the latest villain’s power has something to do with the manipulation of time, we need to divide and conquer.
(He is annoyed with his teammate. But he is not yelling.)
Why are you always like this? I swear it’s only when I come up with a plan, but when it’s-
(This is his superpower catchphrase. It needs to be yelled, similar to the superhero anime where they yell their attack.)

Higher pitched, youthful, excited voice.
Daylight Angel (Yuki Nakamura.) 17 years old. Mixed. Japanese American. She's in her senior year of high school.
She has a crush on Oliver. But he sees her like a little sister. She's the optimistic bumblebee of the group always filled with energy and enthusiasm. She takes gymnastics and is very into doing flips and generally just being flexible. She can be a bit of a show off but doesn't really mean anything by it. It's hard for her to take things seriously and she'd rather just avoid the hard topics. She can't keep a secret to save her life.
Superpower: Light based attacks and can move at the speed of light.
Hero name: Daylight Angel.
She has 42 lines.
(She is defending the villain. Her voice should sound a little desperate. This can be yelled or just spoken. Should be upset.)
Wait! Can’t you see he’s in pain? We need to help him, not hurt him!
(This is a happy kind of squeal/yell.)

(She is arguing/yelling with her teammate midbattle. Not mean but defensive.)
I’m trying to but I think he keeps rewinding time and I don’t want to be frozen by Paralysis either! Why don’t you just use your danger sense to dodge all their attacks?
Oleander (Giovanni "Gio" Rodriguez.) 18 years old. Puerto Rican. He's in his first year of college. Gay.
He only knows Isaiah's identity. He's a good guy. A bit of a flirt. He cares about the environment a lot and loves animals. He dates around a lot. He is a bit bitter about being a hero as he feels it impends on his daily life. But he's not selfish enough to not help people. He knows martial arts well enough but is a pacifist at heart.
Superpower: Plant and life manipulation.
Hero name: Oleander.
He has 42 lines.
(Lighthearted banter with the villain.)
I had to miss a date for this, so you are so going down, lady.
(He's flustered and upset with his teammate who he has feelings for. End is kind of yelling tone.)
Danger. Sometimes you make me so- I just can’t stand- why do you, ugh. I can’t deal with you right now. I wish you’d be honest with me for once. You’re even more mysterious than Red!
(Playful teasing during hero training. This is when he is about to win a fight.)
You misunderstood me. I don’t like to fight with my fists because I believe in peace. My plants however, have a mind of their own. Yield.

Atlantis. (Bella Mae). 21 years old. Blonde hair, blue eyes, valley girl type. She's in her last year of college majoring in Psychology. Lesbian.
She cares a lot about her appearance and about what other people think about her. She has a huge crush on Rosalina in her hero form and can often be found silently rivaling Oliver for Rosalina's praise or attention at any given time.She can be a bit impatient and hates being told what to do. She can be reckless sometimes.
Superpower: She can control water.
Hero name: Atlantis.
She has 36 lines.
(Confronting the villain with a bit of that sarcastic hero banter.)
Paralysis? Girl, please. You are not the only person who’s ever had your heart broken. I’m sorry that happened to you, but it happens. Turning into a villain over it is a tad dramatic though, don’t you think?
(The first word is a shout. She is warning her teammate and explaining the situation.)
Duck! Avoid her rays, if you get hit, you’ll be frozen like the people on the street!
(Sisterly scolding, soft)
You know, if you keep lying about what you really want, he might just start to believe you after all.
Detective Danger (Isaiah Bakewell.) 18 years old. White. He goes to the same high school as Yuki. Senior.
He's the book smart one on the team. He knows Yuki civilian identity and Gio's. He's a pretty serious guy with an impressive memory. He argues with Gio a lot because of their opposing views on hero duty. More on the stoic side but not incapable of expressing emotion. His family is very rich. Doesn't like to show weakness. Likes to gamble. Loathes to admit this.
Superpower: Danger intuition. He can detect incoming threats, so he can't be snuck up on or surprised in a fight. He can also sense the future and has visions.
Hero name: Detective Danger.
He has 38 lines.
(Condescending and Annoyed.)
You just got here. I’m sure you can manage to put your duty before your date for once.
(He is arguing with his teammate mid-battle. Annoyed and frustrated.)
You’re literally faster than the speed of light. Why don’t you just knock out the time guy?!
(He's saying a quote and there is some hidden feelings there for him too. Serious with a hint of longing.)
No. She's right. To love someone is one thing. To be loved is another. But to be loved by the one you love... is everything.
Mystic. (Violet Johnson.) 19 years old. Red hair and violet eyes. First year of college, major undecided.
She is a creative spirit. She is an artist. She loves to draw and also writes poems. She jumps from muse to muse. She loves to give advice but finds it hard to take it. She doesn't like being tied down and is very spontaneous. She is definitely the pun/ jokester in the middle of battle of the group.
Superpower: Illusions.
Hero name: Mystic.
She has 40 lines.
(Curious.)
Does anyone wonder where all these villains even seem to come from? Like maybe, there’s a club? Or it’s an organization and there’s a lot of turnover?
(Guilt-tripping)

(Revelation time.)
That makes sense. The mastermind in your vision must have made a mistake. He thought their heartbreak would fuel their pain but when they finally learned how the other felt, their love for each other was stronger than the pain they caused each other.
She is one of the main villains in this episode. She is a high schooler. And is fueled by heartbreak. Her power is to literally freeze people in their tracks.
She has about 20 lines.
(Over-Dramatic opening villain line.)
You don’t understand how it feels to be me! To be left out in the cold, paralyzed while your heart is breaking in two! That’s why, I, Paralysis have made it my mission to destroy all the love in the world!
(This is an internal line where she is just thinking something in her head. She's upset and frustrated with this pain.)
This isn’t good. I’m surrounded. I need-I can’t focus on anything but this overwhelming pain. Why won’t it go away?
(Think anime confession time. She low-key shouts it and is almost in tears.)
Cole, I’m in love with you. Please, just say something. Anything?
He is one the main villains in this episode and his powers are fueled by his heartbreak. He is a high schooler. He has the power to turn back time by a few moments.
He has about 32 lines.
(Desperate and self loathing)
Why am I such an idiot? I just ran away like a little kid too afraid to talk to his crush! What is wrong with me?! I need a do-over. I mean, she probably hates me but even still. I need to find her.
(He's introducing himself for like the 10th time and is rushing off to go find Bianca/Paralysis. Light-hearted. No tension in this line.)
Yep. My name is Tick Tock. And it’s exhausting. Anyway, I have to go find someone, so please excuse me.
(The final confession. This is right after Paralysis/Bianca almost dies. And Tick Tock/Cole saves her life by rewinding time.)
Bianca, I almost lost you. And it made me realize that if I did, I would have never been able to tell you the truth. I’m so sorry I ran away from you. I only ran because I was scared. But now I’m more scared of never being able to tell you. I love you. I love you. I love you.
