Purple Haze Feedback Reading
Project Overview
I will be orchestrating a small reading of Purple Haze Feedback. Please have a discord account to join a group discord for the project.
Please direct any questions you have to me at either Skyward-Hearts#6078 on discord or skyward-hearts on tumblr.
I understand that Italian words and names can be hard to pronounce and may provide a pronounciation guide in either the discord or script.
I will be playing the Narrator.

Fugo Pannacotta is a 16 year old boy from a wealthy background. His entire family save for his grandmother was not empathetic towards him and pressured him for most of his life. He is caring and incredibly smart with an IQ of 152, with this he was accepted into college at the age of 13. But with his virtues comes a very violent temper. Soon after being accepted into classes he beat a professor senseless with a large encyclopedia. The reason for this varies (as in the anime the professor was asking for inappropriate favors in return for study guides and early access to test questions. But in PHF Fugo did this in response to a professor’s verbal abuse as he had scored lowly on a test in a core subject and said professor lacked sympathy/belief when Fugo told him his grandmother’s death.) He was arrested afterwards and met Buccellati in jail, who used connections in Passione to bail him out. His family disowned him and he lived a thugs life before joining Passione. He later finds a younger Narancia rummaging through the trash for his next meal and drags him into the place he and Buccellati frequent, asking for someone to feed him. Buccellati does so and afterwards he takes Narancia to the hosipital to have his infection treated. The owner makes a comment about how he wishes there were less riffraff coming through as he believes it hurts his profits. Fugo responds by punching the table and breaking a plate, leaving in a huff after throwing some money on the table to pay for repairs.
He should have a voice a bit on the deeper side for someone his age, a light Italian accent would be appreciated but is not needed. For a good amount of the story he should sound almost scared and timid.
"Guess rich kids get to learn all sorts of fancy tricks.”
"You're dressed well, but you don't seem high class. You move too well to be a student. But you don't have the posture of a soldier. What else could you be?"
"That's him! That’s Volpe's voice!"
Sheila E. is a fifteen year old girl of Italian decent. At the age of ten she joined Passione in a plot to kill an man in the Assasination Team named Illuso, who had murdered her sister. She has a strong moral code and even asked permission to kill him. When she was told by Giorno that Illuso was already dead, she considered herself in debt to him and follows him loyally. She is a straightforward girl, not one to mince words.
Sheila’s birth name is actually
Scilla Capezzuto, and the E in her alias stands for Erinni, after the Erinyes, or Furies. They were described as the goddess of vengeance and even ‘The Infernal Goddesses’.
She should have a high pitched voice and should speak clearly and plainly. Italian accent would be nice but is not required.
"So...this guy they've sent to help. Murolo. You ever heard of him?"
"You got the same deal, Murolo. Mista told me. You gave information to Risotto after he turned traitor."
“What the shit?”
Murolo has a rather sour attitude and believes he is owed respect from his team members purely for his seniority. He is incredibly paranoid, even going as far as to be suspicious of his own teammates’ motives. He was assigned to the removal of the narcotics team by Giorno as punishment for restoring a photo for the Assassination Team.
Murolo should have a deeper voice. I believe an Italian or even English accent would work wonderfully but neither is required.
"So..." "You're the one with the extremely dangerous stand? Pannacotta Fugo?"
"I'm asking the questions here! How do you know this man? Massimo Volpe was top secret! Nobody knew about him!"
"It's not half-assed! He said where they are! We know where Kocaqi is hiding!"
Massimo is the younger brother of Part 4’s Tonio Trussardi. Born to a wealthy family, his brother was to inherit the family fortune, but left the family and it’s name behind as he pursued his dream of becoming a chef. This left pressure on Massimo, who had lived most of his life in a sort of apathetic stupor. He came to resent many people even if he didn’t truly know them. He is very caring towards Angelica, as an older brother to his little sister. He is shown to use Manic Depression to alleviate the pain caused by her illness and attempting to (fake a) smile for her sake. Though she can tell it’s fake. He also shows a certain amount of care towards Vittorio, and has respect for Vladimir.
Massimo is a man of Sicilian origin, and would likely have a somewhat thick Italian accent but I’m not picky. He should have a deep voice. When speaking to Vittorio or Angelica he should take on a slightly caring tone, with anyone else he should speak in a monotone, or somewhat angry tone of voice.
"Call Fugo. Call him here. Scream, and beg him to come save you."
"But you're the leader, Vladimir. I just do what you say."
"We need it to avenge Kocaqi...?"
Also known as ‘Junkie Girl’, Angelica is addicted to the drugs the narcotics team makes as Massimo uses them and Manic Depression to temporarily alleviate the symptoms and pain of her chronic illness. She acts very spacey and has a bubbly personality, but enjoys the suffering of others. She is very fond of her teammates, especially Massimo and is shown trying to make him smile.
She should speak in a high pitched voice and have slow, spaced out words. Italian accent would be nice.
"La, lala, ley lo ley la, ley, la la......."
"There's nobody else around. Nobody at all. Nobody looking at us."
"Aw, Massimo! Why are you always frowning? Are you hungry?"
Vittorio is described as phychotic and masochistic, obsessed with pain. He is covered in scars as he inflicts injuries to himself in order to activate his Stand Ability. Otherwise he acts like a normal thug, picking fights and such, and shows no remorse for any of the crimes he’s committed. He only really shows respect to Massimo.
He should have a somewhat high pitched voice, and I think that a female could pull off his voice. He will sometimes draw out words or even slur them and has some lines with hysterical laughterLight Italian accent appreciated but not required.
"Like, they say they don't ever feel alive, not really. I'm serious, no legs being pulled, serrrrrious bizzzzznesss."
"The pain makes everything feel real. Calls forth the life
within me! Without that I'll go extinct and...and...and I don't wanna
be extinct...”"But the name Sale...that's a very salty name! Get it? Because it means salt! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hah! Sale! Salty! God damn, that's funny!"
Vladimir is a 70 year old man of Sicilian decent. He is wise and gentle despite his profession, and cares about his team. He is quiet until someone crosses him. He is very set in traditional Sicilian ways and prefers the silence. Despite his age he is seen as fit and keeps a straight back.
His stand is quite formidable and feared so much that even Diavolo didn’t want to anger him.
I could see his voice with or without a rasp, but it should be deep and I would highly recommend a heavy Sicilian accent. His voice is very calm and even for most of his lines. My grandfather (also an old Sicilian man) may provide a good example (although he has a much stronger rasp than what I imagine.) for anyone who wants to use that for a frame of reference and I’ll see if I can get recordings of him you you’d like.
"All Sicilians know what life is. This may be hard for a rich
kid from Naples to grasp, but life...is inherently unfair.""We Sicilians place a great deal of value on silence. Silence...and forbearance. Those two things lead to hope.”
"You hear me, Massimo? You're the heart of this team. We only exist for you."
Giorno defeated the former boss of Passione Diavolo, but masks his takeover as simply revealing the former boss’ identity. Only the former members of Team Buccellati and Polnareff know the truth. The people of Passione seem to be very trusting of him and are quite loyal.
He sends out Fugo, Sheila, and Murolo to take out the former Narcotics team - each of them in on it as either punishment or a way to earn his trust. His lines are mostly in the end and in flashback.
His voice should be that of a teenager, but even and with a cool tone. As all the other roles so far, Italian accent is appreciated but not entirely needed.
"Okay, everyone. Look this way,"
"What do you say, Pannacotta Fugo? Will you lend me your talents again? I have a dream. And I need
friends to help me with that dream.""Half a step, If you can't take a step forward, then I'll step halfway to you. Everything hinges on your decision, but if grief anchors your feet, then let me share it."
Guido Mista is a young man who enjoys the simple things in life. In basking in the simplicity that life can provide, he is often seen as an idiot, when he is actually quite capable but simply chooses not to tangle himself up in complicated matters.
He is incredibly apprehensive of the number four, ( likely due to the Japanese/Chinese superstition stemming from the fact that four (四 - si4) is pronounced the in same was as the word meaning death, (死 - si3). This reflects itself in his stand, a collection of six small humanoids that control his bullets, numbered one to seven and skipping the number four. He even goes to say that he considers himself Number 3 in Passione’s hierarchy rather than second in command as two times two makes four.
Mista’s voice should be deep, and like before an Italian accent is nice but not needed. Most of his lines he spends fully ready to shoot Fugo if he makes a wrong move, so a good amount of his lines should be spoken in an apprehensive tone.
"Keep a close watch. Like I said, anything happens to me, scram."
"Giorno moved quickly and efficiently, solidifying his power. It was beautiful to behold. This is the part you heard, right? We weren't exactly hiding."
"So. Here, this place, this distance, this weather - your Purple Haze has no chance of fighting my Pistols."
Bruno appears in flashback only. He finds a younger Fugo in jail and speaks with him before using his ties with Passione to bail him out. It is because of this that Fugo takes Polpo’s test and joins Passione himself, working with Buccellati. Buccelatti is shown to have a sort of soft spot for kids and even feeds Narancia and has his infection treated. He seems to have a personality that attracts people, and everyone on his team truly trusted him.
Bruno should have a deep and calm voice with a caring tone, especially when speaking with the younger members of his team, even when they’re behind bars. As with all the others, I’d love an Italian accent but I won’t be mad if there isn’t one.
"My name is Bruno Buccellati. I've been checking up on you. Seemed like you might be worth meeting."
"When you spoke of your parents, I saw no desire for revenge. You must hate them, but not obsessively.
I get worked up too easily. I could use a level head around.”"He was lucky you didn't kill him. You'd lost it completely. You never once stopped to think that he might die.”
Narancia appears in flashbacks. Fugo found him rummaging in the trash for his next meal and took him to be fed. Buccellati then took him to the hospital to have his eye infection treated. He later approaches Fugo asking if he can join their gang despite Buccellati’s protests and says he owes it to them. He later takes Polpo’s test against Bruno’s wishes and passes.
High pitched voice, very energetic and excited. Italian accent optional.
"Hunh? What's going on!? Giorno's younger than you! But wait, Buccellati's older than me so...ah, screw
it! It's all good!""Hot damn! That's so sweet! Is this really Buccellati's?”
"Wh-what the hell is that? Like a ghost or... I can see through it!"
Abbacchio is a former police officer who took a bribe, which indirectly led to his partner being shot and killed. He was dismissed from duty and lost his life’s purpose, seeing as his partner had died ultimately due to his corruption. He was unable to experience and strong emotions and soon joined Passione. He ranks as a Soldato and is incredibly loyal to Bruno, claiming he only knows inner peace when following his orders. He appears in PHF during flashbacks.
Deep voice, speaks mostly in an angry way or monotonous. Italian accent highly recommended.
"Don't speculate. It's a weakness of yours, Fugo. You think too much. You think on
things best left unthought.""What makes a shallow kid like you look so serious?"
"You and I aren't that different. We're both scumbags. So what makes you so sure of yourself?"
After the events of Vento Aureo, Trish separates herself somewhat from Passione to pursue a singing career. At the end of PHF Fugo hears her singing on the radio afterwhich she is interviewed.
Typical teenage girl voice. As always, a light Italian accent would be nice.
"I couldn't have done it without my fans."
"Yes. She passed away recently, which was hard. I'm finally getting better."
"I'd be lost without them. I owe them a debt I can never
repay."
Sale is a minor character in both the main series and here. Most of his “lines” are his inner thoughts and not spoken. He dies quite early in so this is mainly a role for someone who wants to do very few but extremely emotional/paranoid lines.
He’s a young man, a light Italian accent would be nice but is not required. His voice and should be high pitched and very anxious, rushed even.
I-Is he really part of the narcotics team? The team that turned an eleven figure profit?
Mario spends his time in the story deflated by his own stand and under the influence of Manic Depression. He has no control over his own actions and is incapable of proper speech. Most of his lines come out as breathless whispers and grunts and groans.
No worded lines for this part. Go nuts.
(series of incoherent whispers and grunts and groans.)
Two parts combined in one due to their size.
Go wild with auditions, anything goes.
"The Stadio's deserted. You're clear to proceed."
"Understood. Be careful, Guido Mista."
Murolo’s stand that he claims is capable of divination. They have the appearance of sentient cards and often fight with each other
All voices should be high pitched and somewhat annoying.
"We are the the Watchtower Troupe!"
Murolo’s stand that he claims is capable of divination. They have the appearance of sentient cards and often fight with each other
All voices should be high pitched and somewhat annoying.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show! There are fifty-three of us, here to entertain you! I'm the joker, and I'll be your host for this evening."
Murolo’s stand that he claims is capable of divination. They have the appearance of sentient cards and often fight with each other
All voices should be high pitched and somewhat annoying.
"Ah, joker, joker. You always did like to joke around."
Murolo’s stand that he claims is capable of divination. They have the appearance of sentient cards and often fight with each other
All voices should be high pitched and somewhat annoying.
"These are the spades! If they get their dander up, there's nothing they can't do! As stubborn as they are deadly!"

Just some extra roles to be filled. Complete freedom and choice with voices. I’ll take two or three for this or use people in other roles to feel this need.
