Wishbrook Resort | A Minecraft Roleplay
Who are you?Hello! My name is Rexiipher, or Rex for short. I'm a Minecraft Roleplay content creator on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@rexiipher) and a live streamer on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rexiipher). I consistently upload and stream, and I really enjoy producing Minecraft Roleplay content. The video provided with this project posting is an example of my work, though a lot of videos on my channel also showcase multiple longstanding stories.
What is this project?"Wishbrook Resort" is an ongoing Youtube-exclusive MCRP that will run approximately 20-30 minutes an episode, for a total of twenty episodes. Depending on its success, I plan on continuing the series for further iterations.
However, for the sake of preserving surprise for my audience (who almost certainly will find their way to this page), the names of the characters are not the same as they will be in production. However, the character descriptions are, in fact, consistent, so who you audition for will be the role you get.
I also plan on casting roles that are not listed below. There's a good chance that if you don't get cast for a character here, you may still be cast as a different character, a minor role, or an extra.
This series will be done in full on my YouTube channel, so expect a full commitment if you audition for this project. If it continues beyond the first season, a majority of these roles will be reprised, and I may also want to utilize already recruited voice actors for future characters as well. As such, I look forward to all auditions on this project.
What are the requirements for this project?You must have a proper microphone with minimal background noise. I'm not picky about the microphone that you use, so long that your quality is fine.
You must have Discord, and be willing to join a Discord studio server. I find it easier to have my Voice Actors in one place, with a centralized location for submitting lines. It makes the job for me and my editors easier.
You must be committed for the long term. I do not desire to recast my characters, so if you audition, you must be fully prepared to voice that character for the foreseeable future.
You must meet deadlines. I do not want to chase you down for lines. Deadlines may be short at times, but I will strive to give you approximately a week before submission is necessary. However, if you have to go on vacation or are sick, I will work with you. Just let me know in advance when possible.
When Auditioning:
Feel free to introduce yourself briefly. I like getting to know who I may be working with. It's not a requirement, however.
Try to include 2-3 takes for each line, with variations in each take. You may vary your voice or emotion in your interpretation of the character.
Feel free to adlib at the end, if you so desire.
If I cast you for a role, I will contact you through Casting Call Club and invite you to the studio discord.
If you're cast for a role that is not listed on this page, I will try to contact you through Twitter (if you have a Twitter provided on your page) or Discord (if one is provided). Casting Call Club only allows me to message people who follow me, so if you want me to be able to contact you on Casting Call Club, you will need to follow me. Otherwise, I will not be able to reach you to offer you a role.
I may add more roles if I deem it necessary. Please keep an eye on this page for any updates.

The Shadow Man is a highly chaotic, impish, and menacing figure of pure shadow. He behaves almost like a child, and he views everything almost like a game as a result. He has little regard for the safety and livelihood of others, simply choosing instead to wreak chaos and destruction for his own amusement. He gets worked up very easily, and when he's having fun, he won't want to stop.
The Shadow Man is a role that will take a performer who can get loud. The Shadow Man needs a medium to high tone and preferably could have a bit of gravel to his voice. Think of Childe from Genshin Impact, only if he were even more unhinged. Have fun with the lines and truly let loose to get as close to the original vision as possible.

Olivia is an obsessive, quirky, energetic, bubbly, and overly enthusiastic girl. She loves all things to do with the ocean, and she always approaches everything with enthusiasm and a wide smile on her face. There are times when she can be aggressive and vindictive, and she's also the type to fall for someone easily and fall hard. She daydreams and romanticizes often, and spends most of her days with her head in the clouds. She also wants everyone to tell her how pretty she is all the time.
I'm looking for a higher-toned, light, and airy voice for Olivia. You should be able to shout and behave over-the-top as well, easily shifting tones and behaviors on a whim, as Olivia is very moody. A performance that can showcase a range of emotions across only a handful of lines will be the most effective one.

A little hothead with a whole lot of bark. Chloe isn't afraid to tell it how it is and is a considerably ambitious individual. She's very strong-willed, and it's hard to influence her opinion when she's made up her mind on something. Being so driven, she typically slots into a leadership role naturally. She can't stand not having the answers to something and is used to being the person other people look to for help. She's typically pretty good at reading people, and rarely changes her mind after a first impression.
I'm looking for a higher-toned, bratty-sounding voice actress who can get loud. Consider the English dub of Riko from Jujutsu Kaisen for reference. Chloe will be prone to shouting and reacting to things way larger than life, so a performance that can capture her vast depth of emotion will be the most effective one.

Otto once heard the phrase "go with the flow" and decided to live by it. He's a chill jokester with a penchant for putting a smile on people's faces. He's very good at connecting with almost anyone, and more often than not ends up the voice of reason as a result. Very few individuals can come up with a reason to dislike Otto, and he is the glue of the group as a result. However, Otto occasionally encounters things that disrupt his level head, evoking rather amusing over-the-top reactions.
For Otto, I need a moderately pitched voice with a smooth tone. Every line Otto delivers should have a charming appeal, with the ability to break when he loses his composure and reacts to something outrageous.

Allie is a meek cat girl with a heart of gold. She means well in everything she does and cares deeply about her friends. It's hard for her to meet new people, and she's very confident in her own abilities. She firmly believes that everyone is a good person deep down, and never gives up on something if she believes in it. She's skittish in situations she's unfamiliar with, and she doesn't do well under pressure. But when the occasion calls for it, she can swallow her fears for the sake of her friends.
For Allie, I'm looking for a character that can capture Allie's shyness while still serving well when she acts bold. Allie is a bit of a screamer, so any potential voice actress should be effective at capturing those hilarious moments of fear. Higher-to-moderate pitched voices are the most likely to be considered.

Martin is the sometimes laidback, but often stressed-out manager. He's the opposite of his co-leader Ronan--all smiles, very friendly, and extremely involved with the individuals who visit his establishment. He cares about the individual people just as much as he cares about his establishment, and tries to make sure that every visitor's experience is a positive one. He tries to please everyone, but this often leads to him ending up in situations where he's scrambling for solutions.
I'm looking for a moderately-pitched male who is effective at injecting exaggerated emotion to mundane lines. Martin is a character whose humor only lands if the voice properly emulates his levels of stress or over-the-top reactions to things. Personifications that capture this character's silliness are the most likely to succeed.

EVERYTHING'S FINE--Oh, it's you, Ronan. Whew, that's a relief...
Ronan is the head administrator. A very strict and imposing man, he's the one who actually ensures that operations in the establishment run smoothly. Where there's a problem, he will vehemently pursue it and stomp it out until there is nothing left. He approaches every issue with an analytical gaze, and he offers no quarter to those who endanger his business. He's not afraid to do what needs to be done, and more often than not, will not hesitate.
I'm looking for a deeper voice with a bit of growl to it. This character should have the bark and the bite, and his presence in a room should cause it to go quiet. An effective performance can capture the strictness of his countenance, while simultaneously being loud enough to control a room.

Nathan is a tough nut that's hard to crack. He's extremely broody and doesn't get along with most people. He finds almost everything annoying for one reason or another. He doesn't have a favorite anything, because everything ticks him off to some degree. He's the kind of guy you wouldn't invite to a party, both because he wouldn't show up and because if he did, he'd make everyone else miserable.
I'm looking for a moderate-to lower-pitched voice for Nathan. A solid reference would be Zuko from the animated Avatar series. He is very angsty sounding, while still having depth to his lines. He should be able to sound aggressive when necessary, and mildly irritated at most other times. The first line is meant to be sarcastic.

Ruby is a rich girl who was born into money. She's never had to work a day in her life, and it shows. She's an example of someone with everything but provides nothing. She's condescending, rude, entitled, and doesn't care about anything or anyone. She's here to have a good time, and if anyone or anything gets in her way of doing that, she'll have a problem. In Ruby's world, it's Ruby first and everyone else second.
High-to-moderate pitched voice. Ruby is your classic spoiled rich kid, so the voice that comes to mind based on that depiction is probably an accurate one. If you can make Ruby sound obnoxious, then you'd be a good fit for the role.

Felix is a very awkward geek who doesn't necessarily know how to function in social settings. He typically doesn't know the right things to say and stumbles over his words in even the most mundane interactions. He'll also often mess things up when pressured, and he's a pretty big pushover. However, he's as loyal as a puppy and his dorkiness is endearing to some.
High-to-moderate pitched voice. The English dub of Midoriya from My Hero Academia is an effective reference for the voice of this character. Felix is a character that is often nervous or intimidated, and even when he isn't, he's awkward and sweaty at almost all times. He is effectively a personification of a fictitious nerd.

Evelyn is a female seductress with a penchant for men. She likes getting people to do things for her by flirting with them, and typically just does it for her own amusement. She enjoys the power dynamic of having people wrapped around her finger. When she speaks, it's with a calm confidence that reveals just how self-assured she is. She also is incredibly witty, and very capable of thinking on the spot.
Moderate-to-low voice pitch. Evelyn is a sweet talker who can charm people easily, and her voice should reflect this. Smooth, alluring, but at times sassy and witty.

Penelope is a mysterious figure that lurks in the night. Most of everything about her is unknown, and she prefers it that way. She's no-nonsense, calculating, and extremely level-headed. She has a lethal precision that she applies to every problem she faces, with a warmth she keeps buried deep within her. Her abilities far exceed most, but she does not suffer from pride. Instead, she wields her abilities like a soldier wields their weapon--dutifully, and only when necessary.
Moderate-to-low-pitched voice. Penelope is an older woman, and her voice should reflect this in the way it carries itself. She should sound more focused than disinterested, and more stoic than monotone. Bonus points if she sounds somewhat motherly, in an albiet unique way.

Dr. Morris is an avid researcher and scientist. He is very calculating, analytical, and concise with everything he does. He is responsible for the creation of many inventions and prefers performing his research in solitude. He brooks no admission of frivolous realities and believes only what can be seen and can be scientifically proven. He sometimes comes across as apathetic due to his analytical nature, but he's a sweetheart.
Moderate-to-low-pitched voice. Dr. Morris's voice should carry across a room but always have a strictly business tone to it. He is the type to push up his glasses mid-conversation.

Wren is extremely reserved, to the point of hardly speaking. She's extremely stoic and keeps to herself more often than not. Anti-social only barely begins to describe her, and she only interacts with a select handful she trusts. She typically has no opinions one way or another, and will only do things if she's dragged into them first. As such, her voice is very monotone. She quite enjoys video games, however, and plays them nonstop at every opportunity she gets.
A good reference for Wren is the English dub of Anby from Zenless Zone Zero. Slightly soft-spoken, but more monotonous than anything. She still expresses emotion, though it's more through the emphasis on particular words rather than a drastic shifting of her tone. High-to-moderate pitch.

Gene is best described as needlessly cruel. He'll go out of his way to perform acts of depravity simply because he finds it fun. His pranks often venture beyond the realm of mere pranks and are typically only funny to him. He's sadistic and mean-spirited, and will often laugh in your face if you get angry with him. His favorite pastime is antagonizing people, and he always speaks with a level of gruffness to his voice.
Moderate pitched voice. Reference Bakugo from My Hero Academia. He is loud, aggressive, and almost always has a rasp to his voice. A good performance will capture his mean-spirit in almost all of his lines.

Willow is a cooky, silly recluse in the woods. She spends most of her time tending to a private garden and brewing tea for herself. Almost everyone avoids her because she's weird, but she loves meeting new people. She's convinced she can see the future and advertises herself as a fortune teller. No matter the situation, she is always gleefully happy.
High-pitched voice. Willow is extremely over-the-top, always full of smiles and always speaking somewhat loudly. She is an older individual, and I imagine her to sound somewhat nasally, though that is not a requirement. Focus on capturing her whimsical behavior by having fun with her lines.

Elise is an athletic tomboy and a really sore loser. She works really hard every day to be the best at whatever she puts her mind to and passionately refuses to fail if she can help it. She never backs down from a fight and stands up for those around her who can't stand up for themselves. Try not to tick her off, as she can blow up VERY easily.
Moderate pitched voice. Elise can get intense at times, so a good performance can capture her fiery outbursts while also maintaining a confident, older-sister kind of vibe. When she's more mellow, she still maintains some vestige of that passion through her excitement and casual conversation.

Asher is one of the sweetest, well-meaning guys you could meet. Like his sister, he values friendship and believes in fighting for those he cares about. He gets a bit overzealous at times, but his enthusiasm is never lacking. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he more than makes up for it with his heart and sheer strength. You will not find someone more loyal than Asher.
Moderate-pitched voice. He's easily excitable, almost like a puppy. He's also a bit stupid, though don't lean into making him sound it too hard. Instead, capture his passion and friendliness in his voice.
