Project Overview
Project starshine is a metroidvania platformer where a 16 year old named Kane has arrived to an island. It used to be peaceful. That is until all of a sudden, A green alien named tyra came to take over the entire universe. In a prophecy, two star children come from the sky to protect the universe from evil universe conquerers such as Tyra. It is up to Kane and the new friends he meets to help protect the universe from her. Before he can stop her, Kane must seek the four sparks that watch over spark island. They can give him special powers to make the gameplay much more engaging.
Will Kane be able to use the powers of the sparks to prevent a horrible future or fail and let the universe bow down to its new conqueror? You'll find out when the game's finished and released.
(Please note that the roles aren't finished being casted. Please give me some time to figure out the roles. This will be removed when I finish up all the roles.)(We will finish the story before 2026 rolls around. So don't worry too much about the release date.)

Kane is a 16 year old teenager who, along with his sister, were stranded on an island called spark island. He can be curious, serious (some times), cocky, and empathitic. (His ethnicity is black.)(He/him)

"Man, you're so weak. You wouldn't even hurt a worm with a single boot!"
"I wonder what this weird orb thing does."
She's the main villain of this entire plot. She has an army, a women's suit, light green skin, and eyes that can turn red when she gets angry or malicious. She's in her 30s. She takes pride in her machinery, her army, and her role as a warlord. She can sometimes get easily frustrated when things don't go exactly as plan. She's willing to threaten her minions to get the main bosses over to the area to steal the sparks and give them to her.(She/her)

Alexia (She/her) is a 14 year old who accompanies her brother Kane to spark island. She gets knocked out on arrival due to the plane crash. She doesn't wake up until chapter three. She's an inventor. She asks who people are when Kane introduces them to her. She's also good on the offensive too via weapons and physical combat.

"This...is the person who kidnapped me and was trying to nurse me back to health?"
(He/him) MARK-ST4R Is a robot built to serve Tyra and to defeat his flesh and bone counterpart. He follows orders the best he can. To rule out the obvious, He is kane's robotic counterpart.
-Side Mission Acquired- Dispose of star child and pet bird.
-Spark Sensors online- Star child has one spark.
-Error Detected- Main mission completed, Blue spark is in hand. Side mission may be unnecessary.
Spike(He/him) is a black bounty hunter that will do everything to get money, as he is broke. He is the first of tyra's generals to try to eliminate Kane from the equation. Except he does it for a fee. He has a spiky mohawk(It's dyed blue), A biker jacket, A skull shirt, and hunting boots. He also has heterochromia(Blue eye in one, brown eye in another.) He also rides a motorcycle.

"Wait a minute! Stay away from there!"
Jestus(He/him) is the little brother of Tyra. He's in his early twenties. He is a jester, in which he'll make fun of anyone. (Apparently his sisters are excluded....kinda.) He's also the shopkeeper of the extras menu.(Yes, you'll be able to buy stuff in the extras menu using in-game currency you find during the adventure.)

"You can pay the low, low, price of 150 coins for this purse that'll make you look stupid."
We may need an animator who can do the 2d sprites of the characters, mid-bosses, bosses, and other types of people in this wacky island.

To make this short, we need people who can make animated and interactive backgrounds. Whoever can show me that they can make something smooth while staying cartoony, will be added onto the team.
