Project SEKAI - Comic Dubs

Hatsune Miku is a VIRTUAL SINGER who watches over the various SEKAIs: School, Stage, Street, Wonderland, and Empty. Her personality heavily alters and changes in each SEKAI, based off of the unique feelings of those who create it. From a youthful student to a dazzling idol to a lonely, lost girl, Miku is ever-changing. Playing Miku requires her actor to have a versatile range that can cover multiple personalities.

Voice: Miku's got an upbeat, sweet voice with a lot of energy behind it, differing depending on the SEKAI that she's in.

Rin Kagamine is a VIRTUAL SINGER who watches over the various SEKAIs: School, Stage, Street, Wonderland, and Empty. In all SEKAIs (except Empty), Rin takes on the personality of a cheerful teenage girl with a love for music and performing. In the Wonderland SEKAI she is even more high energy and bouncey, and in the Street SEKAI she's a little more mature and sassy. In the Empty SEKAI, Rin is a monotone, blunt-voiced girl, who still has a heart deep down.

Len Kagamine is a VIRTUAL SINGER who watches over the various SEKAIs: School, Stage, Street, Wonderland, and Empty. In all SEKAIs (except Empty), Len takes on the personality of a high-spirited teenage boy with a love for music and performing. In the Stage SEKAI he is slightly more mature and collected, and in the Street SEKAI he has much more of a desire to prove himself and not be seen as a little kid. In the Empty SEKAI, Len is a young, nervous boy who is unsure of himself.

Voice: Len has an energetic and loud medium-high pitched voice, that differs slightly depending on which SEKAI he is in. Due to Len being a teenage boy, him being voiced by someone who is AFAB is entirely plausible and might make more sense (ex: Bennett from Genshin Impact).

Luka Megurine is a VIRTUAL SINGER who watches over the various SEKAIs: School, Stage, Street, Wonderland, and Empty. In all SEKAIs (except Empty), Luka takes on the personality of a cool, mature, and loving young woman that often serves as a mentor figure. In the Street SEKAI, Luka is a carefree girl who does whatever she pleases, and in the Wonderland SEKAI Luka is constantly sleepy. In the Empty SEKAI, Luka is cold, closed-off, and blunt, but protective.

MEIKO is a VIRTUAL SINGER who watches over the various SEKAIs: School, Stage, Street, Wonderland, and Empty. In all SEKAIs (except Empty), MEIKO takes on the personality of a mature, motherly, and loving adult woman. In the Street SEKAI, MEIKO almost takes on a "wine aunt" persona, and is a lot sassier than her other counterparts.. In the Empty SEKAI, MEIKO is a darkly amused and secretive woman who keeps to herself.

KAITO is a VIRTUAL SINGER who watches over the various SEKAIs: School, Stage, Street, Wonderland, and Empty. In all SEKAIs (except Empty), KAITO takes on the personality of a kind-hearted, lovable, and endearing man with a love for music and performing. In the Street SEKAI he is absent-minded and bashful, and in the Wonderland SEKAI he is a mature and confident leader. In the Empty SEKAI, KAITO is an aggressive, cold, and angry man.

Ichika Hoshino is a second-year high schooler who plays guitar, writes lyrics, and provides the vocals for Leo/need, a band she formed alongside her three childhood friends. While outwardly a polite and aloof girl, Ichika often doubts herself and her ability to accomplish her goals. She is intuitive, often thinking deeply before deciding on her course of action. Ichika has a deep love and loyalty to both her friends and music. Ichika is not a huge talker, but she can still ramble occasionally about her interests, such as music featuring the VIRTUAL SINGER Hatsune Miku.

Voice: Ichika has a soft spoken medium to medium-high voice. She speaks clearly, and with thought behind every word. Her tone of voice can often lead her to sound slightly gloomy, even if she's not.

Saki Tenma is a second-year high schooler who plays the synthesizer for Leo/need, a band she formed alongside her three childhood friends. Saki is a cheerful girl who usually has a smile on her face. During middle school, Saki was bedridden with a disease that caused her to miss out on public school. Now a high schooler, Saki is determined to live her life to the fullest, making up for everything she missed while sick. However, Saki's peppy personality often leads her to overwork herself to the point of exhaustion.

Voice: Saki has a bright-toned, medium-high voice. She speaks loudly and clearly, and usually sounds as if she's buzzing with excitement.

Honami Mochizuki is a second-year high schooler who plays the drums for Leo/need, a band she formed alongside her three childhood friends. Honami is a kind, caring girl, who feels the emotions of those around her deeply. She wants to be able to be a comforting pressence in the lives of all who meet her, but the effort of trying to be everyone's friend causes others to look on her with scorn. Honami often feels conflicted in the decisions she makes, and strives to put effort into supporting her friends' goals.

Voice: Honami has a soft spoken, medium-high voice. Her voice is very quiet, not much louder than a whisper, but has a sweet tone.

Shiho Hinomori is a second-year high schooler who plays the bass for Leo/need, a band she formed alongside her three childhood friends. After Saki's admission to the hospital, the girls' friendship died out, leaving Shiho mostly to do nothing but practice music. Shiho is outwardly a very stubborn, unfriendly, and easily annoyed girl, leading other students to avoid her due to her attitude. She can also be harsh on others. However, Shiho has a softer side to her that harnesses a deep love for her friends and things such as cute animals, but it is burried very far down.

Voice: Shiho has a low voice that sounds almost androgynous. She speaks quietly and as if she is constantly pissed off, but she's trying to keep her cool.

Minori Hanasato is a second-year high schooler who is a member of a new freelance idol group called MORE MORE JUMP! Being an idol has been her dream for years, and after meeting the idol that inspired her and giving her the courage to continue on, Minori is invited to create a brand new group with her and two other former idols. Minori is a bubbly, happy-go-lucky, sweet girl who puts all of her effort into everything she does. She is a bit clumsy and slightly airheaded, but has lots of big ideas and goals.

Voice: Minori has a sweet, medium-high pitched voice. She tends to be very expressive with her emotions, but her casual speaking tone is decently quiet (ex: a stereotypical female anime protagonist).

Haruka Kiritani is a second-year high schooler who is a member of a new freelance idol group called MORE MORE JUMP! Haruka was previously in the idol group ASRUN, where she became extremely popular and acquired many fans. After a situation involving another member, Haruka quit being an idol, but an aspiring idol was able to help her regain her love for the art. She joined a new group with that girl and two other former idols. Haruka is a kind-hearted, calm individual who is an extremely hard worker, to the point where she forgets to give herself time to breathe. She is described as the image of a perfect idol.

Voice: Haruka has a calm, cool, and collected voice, at a medium pitch. She mostly always sounds as if she's in control. Her voice tends to be quiet.

Airi Momoi is a third-year high schooler who is a member of a new freelance idol group called MORE MORE JUMP! Airi was previously in the idol group QT, but her agency decided that she was more suited for TV work, such as hosting variety shows. While Airi got satisfaction from this work, it wasn't what she truly loved, and she ended up quitting. Airi is coaxed back into her idol life with help from a brand-new idol and two former idols, one being her old one-sided rival. Airi takes on a serious, no-nonsense personality when working, but she also knows when to take a joke and have fun. She also tends to be quite blunt, but she is determined to succeed and bring joy to others.

Voice: Airi has a loud, bright, and distinct voice, with a medium-high pitch. It almost sounds buzzy. She very clearly pronounces her words.

Shizuku Hinomori is a third-year high schooler who is a member of a new freelance idol group called MORE MORE JUMP! Shizuku was previously in the idol group Cheerful * Days, and also did modeling work. Her beautiful face and figure got her noticed and adored by many, allowing her to become very popular. The other girls in her group were jealous of Shizuku, and she felt awful about how she was perceived. The pressure got to her and she quit her group, although she was brought back into idol life with the help of two former idols and a new idol. Shizuku is seen mostly as just a pretty face, but in truth she is a sweet, easily delighted, airheaded girl who has to work hard to be seen the way that she is.

Voice: Shizuku has a soft, airy, and delicate voice, with a medium-high pitch. She often sounds like her head is in the clouds.

Kohane Azusawa is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the street performance group, Vivid BAD SQUAD. Kohane was never sure what exactly her passions were, but after hearing a girl performing a rap song, she became incredibly inspired to make music like her. She teamed up with the girl to form a group to perform at live houses, and over time, was joined by their rivals to create Vivid Bad SQUAD. Kohane is a very shy girl who struggles with self-confidence, but wants to do her best to overcome her struggles and sing the way she wants.

Voice: Kohane has a quiet, high-pitched voice, and she occasionally mumbles her words. Overall, it has a sweet tone.

An Shiraishi is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the street performance group, Vivid BAD SQUAD. As the daughter of Ken Shiraishi, an accomplished musician in the street music scene, An found herself down a similar path as her father. Her dream is to put on an event that is even bigger and better than the legendary RAD WEEKEND, and she sets out to achieve that goal with the help of three other young performers. An is extremely high-energy, a go-with-the-flow kind of girl who takes comfort in having control over situations. She's always fired up.

Voice: An's voice is loud and energetic, and she usually has a smile on her face. She carries with her a "cool" aura.

Akito Shinonome is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the street performance group, Vivid BAD SQUAD. Music hasn't always been his passion, but it's his current one, and he's determined to perform to best of his ability. Akito takes competing at live houses very seriously, and seemingly only opened up to his singing partner. After joining Vivid BAD SQUAD with him and two others, Akito learned to really care for and appreciate music. He seems very aloof and unapproachable, but he suffers from his insecurities about not being as good as the rest of his group. He is very easily annoyed.

Voice: Akito has a lower, gruffer voice, but still maintains the feel of a high school boy. He can be very grumbly.

Toya Aoyagi is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the street performance group, Vivid BAD SQUAD. Coming from a family of classical musicians, Toya's entire life has been defined by music. However, even though he was quite good at it, it was never the music he wanted to make. His family was very strict, and he felt very strained in his household. As he got older, Toya became more rebellious, and fell in love with street performing, deciding to pursue that instead. Due to his upbringing, Toya is very quiet, often appears to be deep in thought. He isn't shy, but does tend to be more socially awkward than the average high schooler.

Voice: Toya speaks calmly, clearly, and very formal. He is very polite with his words and often sounds as though he is choosing them carefully.

Tsukasa Tenma is a third-year high schooler who is a member of the theatre troupe, Wonderlands x Showtime. His dream is to be a "world future star", using his talents as an actor to invoke emotion in those who watch his performances. This dream began as a child, after his younger sister got sick and was confined to the hospital. Tsukasa wanted nothing more than to make her happy. As he got older, Tsukasa forgot the original reason for his dream, leading most to assume he wanted stardom for selfish reasons. In truth, although he does have buckets of self-confidence on the outside, he has a huge heart and cares for those around him immeasurably. He was recruited to join Wonderlands x Showtime by another performer, and he has found a true family of fellow oddballs in that group.

Voice: Tsukasa is a very, very loud individual. He always sounds as though he is performing and putting on a show for anyone to listen.

Emu Otori is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the theatre troupe, Wonderlands x Showtime. Her grandfather was the one who created the theme park Phoenix Wonderland, and her family, the Otoris, have been in charge of managing it ever since. Her favorite part of the park was always the Wonder Stage, but due to its small size, there are plans to tear it down. Heartbroken, Emu promises to restore the stage, and puts together the theatre troupe Wonderlands x Showtime. Despite her past, Emu is overly happy and cheerful, always excited and bursting with happiness. Often she is seen as childish, which can unknowingly hurt Emu.

Voice: Emu is loud, bubbly, and sweet, with a very high-pitched voice. In her dialogue, she has a tendency to use made-up-words, such as her catchphrase, "Wonderhoy!"

Rui Kamishiro is a third-year high schooler who is a member of the theatre troupe, Wonderlands x Showtime. Rui is a talented actor and director who also finds joy and solace in inventing. Due to his odd mannerisms, Rui grew up a very lonely child without many friends, his best of the ones he did have being his neighbor, who he'd watch musicals with. Rui has a unique and fantastical mind that works in strange ways. He would perform alone on streets with his inventions, until he eventually was recruited to be the director of Wonderlands x Showtime. He is often seen as "weird" and "strange", but has found solace and likemindness with his troupe.

Voice: Rui has an expressive, medium-low voice with a vibrant tone. His voice usually sounds like he is constantly performing, like Tsukasa, but much more low-key.

Kanade Yoisaki, aka K is a third-year high schooler who is a member of the online music group, Nightcord at 25:00. Kanade is the daughter of a well-known composer, and her love for music comes from him. After her mother's death, Kanade's father slipped into a depressive state, and Kanade saw how he began to view Kanade's own music as superior to his. He became sickly and eventually had to be hospitalized, leaving Kanade all on her own. She vowed to continue creating songs so that others out there could feel "saved" by her songs, creating the group N25 to accomplish that goal. Kanade is a well-meaning but quiet and tired girl. She barely leaves her home or interacts with others, and constantly seems as though she's exhausted.

Voice: Kanade has a very soft, medium-pitched voice. Her voice is very quiet and muffled together.

Mafuyu Asahina, aka Yuki is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the online music group, Nightcord at 25:00. Outwardly, Mafuyu is perceived as a polite, smart, sweet, and hardworking teenage girl who succeeds in everything she chooses to do. She achieves perfect grades and is involved in many clubs. However, behind that disguise is a very lonely girl who has no idea who she is. Due to Mafuyu's mother, Mafuyu has never been able to find her true self. She constantly puts on a fake smile and does whatever she is told to please others. When no one else is around, Mafuyu is cold, blunt, and scary. She isn't mean, she just has no sense of herself. Mafuyu began writing song lyrics, and was reached out to be a composer on the internet to join a music group. That same composer is determined to create a song that'll "save" Mafuyu.

Voice: Mafuyu has a medium-high pitched voice. When around anyone other than her fellow N25 members, Mafuyu is peppy, sweet, and quiet in a polite way. When alone or with N25, Mafuyu is blunt and cold with her words, sounding incredibly monotone. This role will require you to play a character who is, to a degree, putting on a character herself. It is a difficult part to play.

Ena Shinonome, aka Enanan is a third-year high schooler who is a member of the online music group, Nightcord at 25:00. Ena is a young artist, like her father, who wants to create wonderful and inspiring art. However, her art barely gets attention online, with the selfies she posts getting her a lot more likes. Ena craves validation and constantly has doubts over her own creations. While Ena is a well-meaning girl, she can often come off as rude and argumentative. She is a hard worker who puts her all into her art. Ena's art drew the attention of a composer online, who invited her to join a music group, where she'd create the MV art. With this group, Ena begins to regain her confidence in what she makes.

Voice: Ena has a medium-high pitched voice. She usually sounds annoyed or as if she'd be interrupted from something important.

Mizuki Akiyama, aka Amia is a second-year high schooler who is a member of the online music group, Nightcord at 25:00. Mizuki is a person who struggles a lot with their identity. They have a way that they'd like to be perceived, but those around them have difficulty adjusting to it. Mizuki has a joking, go-with-the-flow attitude about life, but deep down they're highly insecure of their self expression. Mizuki found comfort in fashion, cute things, and creating animated music videos online. They were approached by a composer online to a join an online music group and animate MVs for the group. Being a part of that group of people allowed Mizuki to open up just a little bit. 

Voice: Mizuki has a loud, strong voice, with a medium to medium-low pitch. It borders between feminine and androgynous. They often sound amused, like they're laughing at a joke only they get.

Note: Mizuki's gender identity is currently unknown. Anyone of any gender identity can audition for them, as long as their voice fits Mizuki's. The pronouns used for Mizuki in game are they/them, so those are the pronouns they will be referred as with. If you are going to cause issues with Mizuki's gender identity, do not audition for this project.

Editors are needed for editing the videos that the comics will feature in. Please, submit some examples of your work. These videos will not be very long, and the goal is to have multiple who will trade off on editing every other video we do.
