Voice Auditions
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for our current game, Project Curse. We’re excited for this opportunity to work with the community of indie game voice actors to help create a free-to-play demo of our English horror project, which will release on itch.io. This project is our studios, Streetlight Studio, debut project! The project is intended for mature audiences as it features violence, mature subject matter and themes, and disturbing imagery. The demo is expected to be released in the summer of 2021.
About your entry :
- We need you to have a XLR or USB microphone and a room where you can record without any background noise.
- Upload it either in .wav or .mp3 file formart.
- Please do not edit the sound (If you want you can apply some noise reduction or compression)
- Please leave your discord name so that we can contact you.

Game Description
Our project is a character driven homage to classic Playstation 1 & 2 horror titles such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. With a focus on psychological storytelling, fixed camera angles, and traditional survival horror gameplay, we aim to capture the horror that is lurking within a small rural Japanese town. The gameplay loop consists of exploring the distorted locations within the rural town, solving puzzles, fighting off monsters, and discovering secrets within the town, and the protagonist.
Taking place in the early 2000s, a high school girl finds reality shifting and bending around her. Her insecurities manifest within the environment itself. Monsters hunt her down. The town seems abandoned. But does she even care? She seems preoccupied by some other mysterious
force…

Hoshi is a 17-year old perfectionist. A Japanese student who works diligently to achieve the perfect grades, perfect looks, perfect health, perfect lifestyle, to be the perfect person. Her life as the embodiment of perfection comes to a halt one morning before school as the unthinkable happens. Hoshi makes the first mistake in her life. Her world crumbles around her, reality shifts and bends. She finds herself in a distorted worn down version of her school. Monsters and horrors lurk around the corners,trapping her in. But this doesn’t seem to phase her. As her focus Is on the woods outside of the school. Where a mysterious light she’s never seen before, calls to her…

Hoshi’s Friend is a 17-year-old Gyaru. While she does follow the Gyaru fashion and ideology of individuality and confidence, there really isn’t anything remarkable about her. A typical Japanese schoolgirl who is in the same grade as Hoshi and happens to work at the same store with her. When reality crumbles around her, she doesn’t seem to notice or mind. All she wants to do is look her best for her boyfriend’s birthday. Monsters or not, she wants Hoshi to take her to the mall for a makeover…
