Princess and the Frog Full Fandub
Project Overview
Get ready for a fresh look at the much beloved Disney film "The Princess and the Frog"! I'm very excited to be taking this on as my next full fandub project and to bring more attention to this animated gem. This project is just for fun, but I hope to make it as professional as possible like I did with my last full fandub of "Frozen" and to showcase a variety of voice actors that can sharpen their skills, meet other talented VAs, and enjoy reliving the Disney magic!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Discord is a must, since after the project is cast I will be reaching out to cast members with a link to the project server for easy communication. Please leave your discord tag with your audition, or send me a private message!
ADDITIONALLY: Everyone who auditions will be invited to join the ensemble for songs with a choir including "Friends on the Other Side", "Going Down the Bayou", and "Dig a Little Deeper".
The Princess and the Frog is a 2009 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The 49th Disney animated feature film, the film is loosely based on the novel The Frog Princess by E. D. Baker, which is in turn based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "The Frog Prince". Set in the 1920s New Orleans, the film tells the story of a hardworking waitress named Tiana who dreams of opening her own restaurant. After kissing a prince who has been turned into a frog by an evil voodoo sorcerer, Tiana becomes a frog herself and must find a way to turn back into a human before it is too late.

Her confident and determinate spirit often blinds her to the importance of happiness and enjoying life, but she learns through losing everything that what she wanted was her restaurant, yet what she needed was love. Prince Naveen is a fun loving and lazy yet educated philanderer. He loves dancing, playing music, and women. He is also extremely vain and narcissistic and finds himself gorgeous and strikingly handsome. Despite this, he has a big heart and dedicates himself to becoming a better person He made a promise to Tiana that he would get her restaurant, and was determined to see it through.

Magellanator
Lawrence is the secondary antagonist of the film. He was Prince Naveen's royal valet, but after enduring years of disrespect and humiliation from the prince, Lawrence betrayed Naveen and aligned himself with the wicked Dr. Facilier to exact vengeance. Lawrence comes from a peasantry background and has spent a majority of his life being pushed around by his abusive family, which explains his motivations to be in control for once.

Dr. Facilier (commonly known as the Shadow Man) is the main antagonist of Disney's 2009 animated feature film The Princess and the Frog. He is an evil, smooth-talking witch doctor who plots to rule New Orleans with help from his "friends on the other side". Having come from a poor background, Facilier grew to resent the rich and prosperous—none so much as the most powerful man in the city, Eli "Big Daddy" La Bouff. Facilier sought to supersede his rival using voodoo and pawnswhile offering the souls of New Orleans' denizens to his "friends" as recompense.

As the wealthiest man in New Orleans, Big Daddy is also the most powerful man in the city. He appears to be a single parent, as Charlotte's mother is neither seen nor mentioned throughout the film. He is also something of a father figure to Tiana, having been good friends with her mother, Eudora, for many years—in no small part due to Eudora running an esteemed seamstress business, which is responsible for supplying Charlotte with many fairytale-inspired ball gowns. Despite his position of power, Eli is shown to be loving, jovial, and friendly. His eagerness to fund smaller businesses such as Eudora's and the local newspaper shows that he is incredibly generous with his wealth. Because of his friendly nature, however, he can also be a pushover—specifically with his daughter, Charlotte, who constantly exploits her father's fortune for her own obsessions, such as lavish dresses and gowns. Even so, Charlotte takes after her father in that she is warm-hearted and generous, despite her privileged lifestyle.

Friendly, helpful, and despite being the smallest creature in the movie, he has the biggest heart. His true love is the Evening Star he calls Evangeline. Ray was also shown to have no fear except for white people; he helped fight the frog hunters and he even took on Facilier's shadow demons all by himself. Ray is extremely kind and agrees to help Tiana and Naveen without any reward expected. Though kind, he is somewhat eccentric, often shown to be very excitable, in spite of serious situations. He was seen upset once when he believed Naveen was proposing to Evangeline.

Mama Odie

An eccentric, sunny, and wise old woman who has great power and does not use it to grant wishes. She challenges Tiana and Naveen to 'dig deeper' in themselves and uses the same advice on all the individuals that seek her out, looking for a 'better' life via magic. Mama Odie is a well-known woman throughout the bayou; Louis the Alligator refers to her as the "Voodoo Queen of the Bayou". Though incredibly sweet and motherly, Mama Odie appears to be greatly feared by others. Louis himself had a fear of her prior to the events of the film. The dark loa working with the evil Dr. Facilier was also shown to fear her, as her good magic is able to eliminate them rather easily.
