Pray

Pray

Project Overview

Hi there. Thanks for your blind interest in this project.

Here's the lowdown.

I'm an aspiring young author with stars in his eyes and darkness in his veins. I write short stories in my spare time, for the love of it. Recently, I tried my hand at writing horror. The result was a story by the name of Pray. I'm not Stephen King or Kevin Lucia, but I do have my aspirations, and I thought it would be interesting to have a stranger (with a good voice, naturally) go over my work and read it aloud. It's only ten pages long, so you can stop holding your breath.

The end result will have the audio compiled into an MP3 format, which I will export and upload to YouTube. Naturally, credit will be given in the video, description, and anywhere else you (and I) see fit.

All I need is a narrator, as you can see below. That's the gist of it.

If you are selected, you will be contacted. You'll know.

Once again, thank you for your time.

I want all of you to know that I didn't forget about this project. It's still a green; I'll be selecting someone soon enough. Presently, I don't have the proper time to be reliable and fair to whomever I choose, but as soon as I do, you will be selected. I appreciate your patience and understanding. c:

I'm leaving this up to you. Surprise me, impress me, but keep in mind: this is a horror story. I don't want over-the-top. Be serious if you can, but I'm always happy to listen to interpretive variaton.

Give me two takes of two or more lines, with different voices, respectively. Thank you.

  • It was just so perfect outside.

  • It didn’t take me long to fully plunder the little place of its secrets, and I quickly found myself searching for the invisible stairs he had ascended earlier.

  • I blinked, and there I was, parked and waiting at the trail. My friend had found my car and was knocking slowly on my window, a goofy smile plastered to his face. He was mimicking code knocks.
