Hello! before you audition, please read the rules! (sorry that it's a bit long)

  • Ages +16 are allowed

    due to this being a more explicit project, we are raising the auditions from 14+ to 16+

  • Strictly no generative AI!

  • Strictly no NSFW auditions! that includes anything fluff related.

  • This project will be operating on discord and published onto itch.io

More on the plot:

For gameplay it will look like kinitopet, balatro or bonzaibuddy, a psychological point and click game.

The game is based on the Church of the SubGenius, a parody religion started in the 1980's. The Church of the SubGenius exists as both a joke and a serious critique, a way to mock the absurdities of modern life while also giving people a strange kind of spiritual outlet. It was born in a time (late 70s/early 80s) when America was flooded with televangelists, self-help cults, pyramid schemes, and endless consumer propaganda. It’s also a commentary on how desperate people are to belong to something bigger, even if that something is obviously ridiculous. In a world where belief can be bought and sold, the Church of the SubGenius is a mirror, it shows how willing people are to suspend critical thinking just to feel special or chosen.
But unlike real cults or scam religions, the Church wants you to realize it's a scam.

I insist that if you'd like to join this project, look deeper into this as since this is actually a real thing there's A LOT of information.

You will be the main voice of the game, you will be recording voice lines to be added to the game as J.R. “Bob” Dobbs voice.  For a reference, we recommend you watch MTV’s ad on the Church of the Subgenius and take inspiration from the main voice, but we also like voices like The professor (powerpuff girls) and the radio demon from hazbin hotel. When auditioning please remember to add your discord username!
