Project Overview

Introduction

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Milos From Home is a webcomic made by ReagentNein an aspiring artist and story writer on deviant art who gave us permission to dub this webcomic.  Now about how the dub is going to work ok so this webcomic has minor swear words in it and a bit of violent things that happen such as blood and scratch marks.  

Rules------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As rules go when your trying to voice act for a character do not have any background noises or audio in the background such as music or people talking in the background.  Try to take your characters seriously when you voice them as it gives better results like give the characters emotion and expression in their voice.  When you are in the server treat others and the other VA's with respect as we do not tolerate vicious or rude behavior.  Make sure you have a discord account when creating your Audition so either me or a mod can take a look at your Audition.  It would be greatly appreciated if you provided social media or other links to help benefit your status online and recognition.  Make sure you are active when though when it comes to deadlines lets say you submit the Audition early I wouldn't have to ask for the lines since the Audition would have already been submitted.  When it comes to interacting with the discord server its also good to get involved in voice chats or calls since its good to also get to know people better however this is optional.  When it comes to the Auditions submitted I will be judging them based on performance in the voice and provide Constructive criticism to help further benefit the voice of the character.

  • Thank you everyone for who participated in this Project

    When I first started doing this dub I had a lot of confidence going into this when I first started reading the comic I had a lot of hard times figuring out what character was which in the flash back scenes in Chapter 1 but once I started getting some VA's in we all tried to piece the puzzles together to really figure out if a character was Male or Female. I was surprised how accurate I also got the character descriptions down as well and for a first time doing a comic dub that's actually kind of impressive. I honestly put a lot of effort making this casting call and it was a blast figuring out a lot of stuff as well on the site. I am glad to have ask the creator if I could do this and it really shocked me what he said when he told me yes. Honestly I feel like many people who helped contribute to this project with Auditions and other things it has really brought a lot of really fun and great experiences so far with the creator and the many people who have helped out. Thank you everyone for all of these amazing Submissions in a lot of ways to you your self have even contributed to a great and fun project. I hope that you will all enjoy the dub once its released for Chapter 1 I hope that you will continue the amazing support and also support the amazing creator who made this amazing story. I hope to see you all in Chapter 2 with some more great experiences some laughs and some great Auditions heres to a great 2021!

Milo was once a human that somehow ended up in the mystery dungeon world but is now an Evee confused and cant remember much about his past of being a human however whenever he sees a pokemon do certain types of moves he knows move type advantages and disadvantages when it comes to battles since in the past he probably had past experience battling trainers. Milos personality is he is self centered when it comes to fighting pokemon telling his partner Riley to always get out of his way when he is trying to save both of them in dire situations however when it comes to Milo wanting to help people he is quick to answer and pushes himself a bit to hard when it comes to certain things. However he has been trying for awhile now to find his own path in this world of what he wants to become.

Riley is a Torchic that lives in the fiery mountains of Mt Blaze with his tribe of Combusken , Infernape and Charizards as their home and many other homes across the region have lost their evolution stones power as the crystals have been drained so mysteriously but however in a flashback that Riley explains to Milo first explains about the Evolution Stones going out in all types of areas but no pokemon has uncovered the mystery of this phenomenon yet however as Riley explains further details about what happened he explains about Chloes sister and himself at the Evolution Stone where Chloe wanted to evolve but the stone was drained of energy however the energy mysteriously came back but however with a dangerous cost losing your own life and from that day forth as Riley lost someone he cared most dear for he has been struggling to learn moves and trying to fight against wild pokemon but cant as when he tries to use fire moves it reminds him of his past of what happened to Chloe where he doesn't want to use fire moves at all where hes afraid if he might burn to ashes and die just like Chloe.

Rileys personality is seriously careful when it comes to planning or strategizing.  He also jumps into action whenever its needed but is to scared to do much since hes scared of his past.

Butterfree much like in PMD Rescue team Red and Blue has lost her baby catterpie and Milo and Riley offer her help to go into Tiny Woods and rescue her baby from the dangerous fissures that have opened up in Tiny Woods.  Later on in the chapter she offers Milo a place to stay in her tent as Milo has no where to go since he isn't from that world.  She even offers a few apples and berries to Milo and Riley on their travels to Mt Steel.  She is a very supportive character when it comes to helping those around her as she is very open to having conversations about certain topics.

Butterfree's personality she is a very caring and kind hearted pokemon that is very open to helping those around her.

Catterpies personality he is very curious about learning new things in the world and is inspired by Milo and Riley that they want to become a rescue team.

Magnemite has gotten himself into a pickle they were trapped in thunderwave cavern due to the magnetic fields but however luckily a pokemon carried him to safety.  And so he asked Milo and Riley if he could rescue his friends deep within thunderwave caves.  After Milo and Riley rescue the Magnemites friends they try to offer an award but realize they aren't part of a rescue team yet so they just move on.  However in the Mt Steel rescue mission they then help Milo and Riley rescue a diglett from a dangerous steel type bird named Skarrmary.  After that one of the Magnemite ends up joining Milo and Rileys Rescue team once they have been officially been made a team.

Magnemites personality He is pretty smart when it comes to the science and technology that is around him and his friends home that they hangout around he is also a quick learner when it comes to making hasty decisions or trying to learn some difficult things.

  • Line2: You see Magnemite generate our own electromagnetic fields in order to levitate and move.

  • Line3:  Usually the field present in thunderwave cave doesn't pose a threat.

The same with Nidoran and Voltorb they were just minding their own business in the depths of thunderwave cavern with the Elekid trying to not let the electro waves get to him as he is attacked by Milo as he cries out to his mom to try to scare Milo and Riley away.

 Eddie the Elekids personality  He is a bit stubborn and a bit timid when he is attacked or beaten up by a dangerous foe.  He is also very hasty when it comes to fighting.

Rileys Dad is part of the Mt Blaze Tribe he has a pretty big family.  During the major incident that happened when Rileys Sister died from trying to evolve from the Fire Evolution Stone Rileys Dad laments on this fact as it has put a lot of stress on Riley and his dad.  However one day Rileys dad came to check up on him to see how he was learning a new move but saw that Riley was struggling to learn ember as he gave his son a hug as Riley was scared of burning to ashes.

Rileys dads personality He is a very caring wholesome father that is honest and hopeful that things will be brighter.

Charizards Personality He is wise but serious when it comes to having serious conversations trying to think of ways to solve something in the Tribe.

Chloey is Rileys sister however a tragic and dangerous incident happened to her.  When Riley and Chloey were still at the Evolution Stone Chloey really wanted her chance to finally evolve into a Combusken as she has been waiting for a really long time as she finally felt she was ready.  However Riley told her not to as he was worried that what if something bad might happen if she were to touch the Evolution Stone as she evolved however everything looked normal at first but then she noticed these corrupted vains on her hands as she started to lose control of her self losing her sanity as she tried to attack Riley as he ran away hiding scared for her as Riley saw her combust and incinerate into ashes right infront of him as Riley lost his sister that tragic night.  That is why Riley fears that if he were to use fire or evolve then the same would happen to him.

Chloeys Personality  Chloey mostly cares about herself as she tells Riley that she doesn't really care as she thinks the evolution stone is safe.  She is also very serious about wanting to really evolve because of her being sick and tried of being a Torchick.

  • Line3: Alyssa said its gotta come back sometime!  And when it does im gonna be ready!

Chansey is one of the lake camps supports as both chanseys help bring in new pokemon that have lost their homes from the dangerous earthquakes that have been happening in the Eastern Caves.  However Milo can not be at the camp since he hasn't lost his home or well doesn't really have a home to go to so instead Milo goes towards the forest and rests there.

Chanseys Personality  Both chanseys seem to be really supportive of the cause to help pokemon in need of a home that they lost and also very serious when it comes to pokemon that lie trying to get their own tent or sneaking in.  So they pretty much take their job seriously.

  • Line1: (Chansey1 for clarification) Those two Golem from earlier are getting into it again what should I do?

  • Line2: (Chansey 2) We've got another batch in half an hour make sure we got tents ready!

  • Line3: (Chansey 1) Huh? Oh an eevee.  Well how about that dont think Ive seen one of you around in a while.
