Hugh is the player's childhood friend. He is described as feeling passionately for Pokémon battles and Pokémon strength. He is also a doting older brother to his sister; he hates Team Plasma because they stole a Purrloin his late grandfather had caught for his sister. For that reason, Hugh travels across Unova and challenges its Gyms so he and his Pokémon can become strong enough to topple the new Team Plasma. He considers both his Pokémon and the player to be his partners, and battles with and against them at several points during their journey.
"Hey!""Start talking, you Team Plasma trash!""You're not getting away!"
"Challenging the Gym, huh? Nice! Keep getting stronger! Let me tell you, though, Clay's tough! Even if all you have to use against Ground types is Water-type Pokemon, you might still be in for a rough fight!"
"I won't forget the pain you just put my partner through!"
Cheren (Japanese: チェレン Cheren) is a rival character in Pokémon Black and White, and a Gym Leader of Aspertia City's Gym, known officially as the Aspertia Gym, in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. As a Gym Leader, he specializes in Normal-type Pokémon. He gives the Basic Badge to Trainers who defeat him.
You must be a challenger! Welcome to Aspertia City's Pokémon Gym. I'm Cheren, the Gym Leader! Hm? Well, maybe I'd better say that I just became the Gym Leader! More importantly, we need to prepare before welcoming you to the Gym.
Do you want to show how strong you are by winning, or do you want to learn what battling really means? Pokémon battles have no meaning if you don't think why you battle. Or better said, it makes battling together with Pokémon meaningless.
The Shadow Triad... With their superhuman powers, they can immobilize people and then disappear! But I'm more concerned with what Zinzolin said... "Once again, we will use the legendary Dragon-type Pokémon and we will rule the Unova region!" What could that mean? The legendary Dragon-type Pokémon Reshiram and Zekrom aren't in Unova anymore... <Player>. There's something I want to look into, so I'm going to head to Route 6! Be careful out there!
Bianca (Japanese: ベル Bel) is a Pokémon Trainer from the Unova region.
She is a rival character in Pokémon Black and White and an Assistant Pokémon Professor to Professor Juniper in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.
The Cave of Being... I wonder where those three Pokémon — Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf — flew off to? Uxie is a Pokémon that symbolizes knowledge... If you mention a place in Unova where knowledge is gathered, the first thing that comes to mind is Nacrene City's museum... Mesprit is a Pokémon that presides over emotion, right? Celestial Tower's bell stirs emotions... And Azelf is willpower... The desire to see something through... What place could represent that...?
Hi there, <player>! Um, you know what? There's something I want to investigate here in Reversal Mountain. But the wild Pokémon here are really tough, and I'm having trouble with them! Could you come with me? Please?""Oh! Don't worry! I'll take care of healing your Pokémon, OK? Ready? Let's go!
I have fond memories of this place... One day... Hilbert, Hilda, Cheren, and I all gathered right here and took the first step of our adventure. It's a very special spot.
Hilbert is a boy who lives in Nuvema Town, as do his childhood friends, Cheren and Bianca. If chosen as the player, he will receive a starter Pokémon and a Pokédex from Professor Juniper. After setting off on his Pokémon journey at the same time as Cheren and Bianca, Hilbert will at some point be asked by Fennel to do some sort of quest; in return for its completion, Hilbert will receive a C-Gear.
As well as encountering and battling his childhood friends at various points during his journey, Hilbert will also meet a young man known as N, who wishes to create separate worlds for humans and Pokémon. In order to achieve his goals, he and Hilbert will battle several times during the course of the game. Hilbert also battles Team Plasma at various stages of his journey. Ultimately, Hilbert is recognized as a hero by Reshiram or Zekrom, depending on the version.
!
Well, look at what we have here...
You haven't changed a bit, N. ...Thaaaat's a good thing, haha.
It took us four years ... to find this guy. Cut it's some slack if we haven't been keepin' up with the news, Cheren!
Hilda is a girl who lives in Nuvema Town, along with her childhood friends Cheren and Bianca. If chosen as the player, she will receive a starter Pokémon and a Pokédex from Professor Juniper. After setting off on her Pokémon journey at the same time as Cheren and Bianca, Hilda will at some point be asked by Fennel to do some sort of quest; in return for its completion, Hilda will receive a C-Gear.
As well as encountering and battling her childhood friends at various points during her journey, Hilda will also meet a young man known as N, who wishes to create separate worlds for humans and Pokémon. In order to achieve his goals, he and Hilda will battle several times during the course of the game. Hilda will also battle Team Plasma at various stages of her journey. At the game's climax, Hilda is recognized as a hero by Reshiram or Zekrom, depending on the version.
This is just... tiring, ain't it ??
Are you here by yourself today? Why don't you team up with me, then? It'll be fun! What sort of Pokémon should I use?
C'mon, Hil--you need to get outta that comfort zone! Nate here's eager to battle, so we might as well help 'em out !!
In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Team Plasma is broken into two different forces. One force remains loyal to N and, seeking atonement, dedicates itself to the protection of Pokémon that were separated from their Trainers; the other is loyal to Ghetsis and serves a new purpose: to take over Unova.
...it isn't enough for you , is it ?
Of course, Doctor Colress, I'm right on it.
Don't think we'll let you get away that easily !
Colress (Japanese: アクロマ Achroma) is a Pokémon researcher and the second boss of Team Plasma, appointed by Ghetsis. His goal is to discover the true way to draw out the strength of Pokémon. He specializes in Steel-type Pokémon.
You there! That was an excellent demonstration of battling. The way you brought out the power of your Pokémon against an opponent like Team Plasma… Astounding. Simply astounding. Interesting as well. I see…
Oh! How interesting! Your Emboar seems to display more self-confidence than others of the same species. And you're a Trainer with merely three Badges… Fantastic! I'm not sure how you're doing it, but you're bringing out the power of your Pokémon!
I don't understand. That's not courage, it's recklessness! Does he think anything is possible simply because he has Pokémon with him? No, no… That's not possible. All Trainers and Pokémon are bound to one another by Poké Balls… Then maybe it is this bond that will allow Trainers to overcome the impossible if they trust their partner Pokémon
