Plush Matins Election: Episode 4

Project Overview

Plush Matins Election is a show I have created within my YouTube channel! No literally, the election is within the YouTube channel. It follows Pyro, a tough and short-tempered dragon, Mr. Kitty-Sprinkles III, a cheerful and fun cat who loves making sure videos are kid friendly, Rock... a rock with a shirt and tie, and Remy who is pretty rude sometimes but can be a chill red panda. Before auditioning, I recommend watching the 3 episodes I released on my YouTube channel first (the first two episodes are 4 and 5 minutes, and the 3rd episode is 8 minutes long).

The creator of the series and YouTube channel is MintyTaz (me) who is doing this election to sort of parody the 2024 Election and how badly it was but is making his own story and spin on it with new characters. The show is also slightly dark, as each character has their own lore (even Rock).

After recently finding out that Plush Matins ("Plush Maytins") as a YouTube channel is basically broke in terms of money, the candidates scramble to try and raise money for the election by the end of the week or the boss (YouTube) will cancel the election and the show will be over, as explained in Episode 3.

Episode 4 in particular will take place in a coffee shop, which is one of the ways the candidates will raise money before time runs out. Will they be able to raise money in time before the boss hits the switch? Let's find out...

  • Casting Call CLOSED!

    I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who auditioned for my project! For a first casting call, over 60+ auditions ain't too shabby! I will need a couple days if not a week to check over the submissions and if you recieve the part, I will send you a DM on discord! I will likely make a discord server that way you can send your lines there OR just send them to me in DMs if you'd rather do that instead. I will provide the script to everyone once I chose all voice actors/animator/writers!

Young Jupiter is the brother of Pyro. He is the same age as young Pyro. They are both twin brothers, currently his face is blurred out on purpose to add to the effect of a "bad memory". Make him sound protective like if someone made fun of your friend, you'd stick up for them and defend them.

Oh no...the infamous Karen... she will make her appearance in the coffee shop, and if you know Karens...they want full satisfaction or they'll call the manager. If you're unaware of what a Karen is, it is basically slang for a person who believes they have more privilege than others and will continue to  demand until they get their way, and in most cases that doesn't happen.

Chief Good Boy (Real Name: Goodman-Boyette) is the chief of police Plush Matins. He can be kind sometimes but he does care about his job. Thinking of how cops can sound or in a strict yet calming tone, try and use that voice for Chief Good Boy. Also for the MintyTaz part, it's just Minty and Taz in the same word because he is the creator of Plush Matins. So just say MintyTaz kind of like saying Charlie Brown, except MintyTaz is one word.

If you'd like to also be an animator for the show by animating some scenes, please send an audition of your work or you can go to one of the 3 Plush Matins Election Episodes and animate a quick moment of it! You must be able to complete scenes within a week or two of receiving it, and you must be able to replicate my art style very well. The scenes you will animate will likely be within the range of 30 seconds and at most 2 minutes. You can use any animation software of your choice, I use FlipaClip, so if you use Adobe Animate or Toon Boom Harmony then that is all good with me! 

(Note, the only character in this show that has lip syncing is MintyTaz, but occasionally the other characters will have a brief moment of lip sync to emphasize something or for comedic purposes.)

Interested in writing future scenes of the show? Well this is your chance to! Each scenes in particular will be shorter (at most maybe 20 lines of dialogue) but if a scene is important it will be longer than others. I use Google Docs to write my episodes on, for your audition send me your work of any scripts or stories you have written in the past. I reccomend watching the first 3 episodes of my show to get a feel of what type of things you may write. If I decide to hire you, I will give you a synapsis of what the Plush Matins Election is and who the characters are!
