Project Overview
GENERAL
This non-profit, unpaid project is dedicated to re-dubbing and remastering animated Ace Attorney media, in order to provide a brand new experience for newcomers of the franchise as well as old fans alike. Currently we are looking for voice actors to help bring new voices to the featured characters. Some have a lot of lines, some don't, but the love and care for the franchise, or the need to partake in the redub, is what matters regardless. Due to the head of the project wanting to start fresh and easy, she wishes to rework the promo for the sixth installment since it's shorter with less time needed. In the future, more casting calls will be put on this website as the creator wishes to work on more remasters, such as DD and possibly The Great Ace Attorney.
WHAT WE NEED
In order to partake in this project, one requires to have an XLR or USB microphone with decent quality as well as have an environment with little to no background noise. Cis and trans actors are welcome, and you can audition for as many characters as you like. It is also a necessity that you have Discord for we can communicate, as well for the chosen actors to enter our official Discord server. In your audition, you must record with no more than three takes, in ABCABC format, and provide a Discord tag so we can contact you.
At a later date, a casting call will be made on the creator's Twitter (@deerdrafty), where people will be given a chance to send their demo reels for extras and other minor characters.
NOTE: In this specific batch, and in case you are unfamiliar with the series, there are some characters who are Khura'inese, a fictional nationality within the games that are based off of the Far East. Because we value representation and its accuracy in media, and because in the original dub most of those characters were portrayed by European actors, we decided to make the Khura'inese characters exclusive to people of color. Most notably voice actors of Filipino descent. While it says that an accent of said nationality is needed, we give the actors the option to not do any accents.

Phoenix is the main protagonist of the franchise. A veteran lawyer known far and wide for his earth-shattering defense in court. Despite being capable of getting out of the worst situations through bluffing, he holds wisdom and maturity which he has passed on to his apprentices and exudes them in his trials as well.
NOTE: Medium, male vocal range, able to switch from a laid-back tone to a more stern one.
[confident] ''OBJECTION! These pork buns were frozen at the time of the crime! So it's possible... they were solid enough to bludgeon someone to death with!''
[chuckles] ''Kay, let's take a breather back at the office, guys.''
[panicked] Maya!? Hey! Answer me!
Dhurke is the leader of a resistance group in Khura'in, opposing the Queen and her cruel laws. Parents use his name as means of getting their children to behave, as if he is some sort of bogeyman. As a former defense attorney and a current revolutionary, he stands for what he believes is right and will never yield to those who demand it.
NOTE: Low, male range, has a deep baritone and gravel in his voice. Accent is optional.
[narrating] "The Kingdom of Khura'in, a country of spirit mediums and faith on the western edge of the Far East. Its' people's lives are nursed through the wisdom of Khura'inism, and protected by its' founder: The Holy Mother." [serious] "At least... that's how it used to be..."
[hopeful] "It won't be long now... a phoenix approaches this land."
[threatening] "And to the Ga'ran Regime, make no mistake about it - I will personally dethrone you!"
Maya is a close friend of Phoenix as well as a former paralegal who would solve cases with him during old times. Now having moved to Khura'in to become a fully-fledged medium and head of her village, she has become more mature, while also keeping her cheery and optimistic attitude intact.
NOTE: Medium, female range. Somewhat younger-sounding.
[curious] "Her Benevolence, huh? You mean your princess, right? Well, what's she like?"
[enthusiastic] Nick! Did you miss me? Can you believe that I finished FIVE ROUNDS of meditation today?
[neutral] "Yeah! And I was hoping you'd come visit for... huh?" [screams]
Athena is the youngest lawyer in the office, having earned her college degree and attorney's badge at the age of seventeen. Being an expert of analytical psychology, she can sense and read other people's emotions very well. Though, her own emotions get the best of her, regardless if it's anger, happiness or even fear.
NOTE: Medium-high, female range. Always exudes high levels of enthusiasm and can be very abrasive.
[angry] "Grr... hey Blackquill! You better start making some funeral preparations!"
[excited] "What are we waiting for? Let's go investigate! [flustered] Ah! C'mon Widget..."
[shouting with confidence] "ATHENA CYKES IS DOING FINE!"
Nahyuta is Khura'in's most well-known emissary of justice, possessing beliefs and virtues of his own caliber. A man shrouded in mystery, always wearing a captivating smile, he delivers judgement with no hesitation. Some say that his stoic stance is meant to hide his true self, but, those are merely rumors.
NOTE: Medium, male vocal range. Speaks in a calm and collected manner, almost whispery. Accent is optional.
[solemnly] "Silence, officer. You are disrupting the peace of this temple."
[calm but intimidating] "Oh you poor, insolent criminal... renounce your revolution and submit to the judgment of this sacred courtroom, perhaps Her Holiness may forgive you for your sins."
[polite] "I wish you a good day, traveler. May the Holy Mother bless you on this day and more."
Rayfa is the crown princess of Khura'in, an amateur medium currently incapable of channeling the souls of the dead; a must-have skill for any female-born royal of her age. However, she takes pride in herself and the gift of evoking the final moments of the passed, and due to being raised in an isolated environment, she behaves like a spoiled brat when one finds flaws in her logic.
NOTE: High, female vocal range. Not childish and whiny, but more arrogant-sounding. Accent is optional.
[coldly] "Oh, how dare you. Are you claiming my insights hold an untruth?"
[smug] "Hmph, we've no need for lawyers. In these halls, my visions are the embodiment of verity."
[annoyed] "And what exactly would a defense attorney serve for besides making an utter fool of themselves!?"
Apollo is one of the most seasoned members of the office, right behind his mentor and boss, Phoenix Wright. While his career in law began almost over two years ago, he is confident in himself and capable of tackling the strangest of cases. He bears a gift he likes to call "chords of steel", which he uses to calm his nerves and to enunciate his objections.
NOTE: Medium-high, male voice, very much like a shonen-anime protagonist for reference. When shouting, he pretty much shouts.
[shouting] "APOLLO JUSTICE IS DOING FINE!"
[encouraging] "Phew! That was close! Just a little more and you would have clenched it!"
[worried] "O-kay... where are you going?"
