What is this?
This is a fandub of a comic/manhwa called Philomel the Fake. This project will be focused on bringing the scenes to life, giving the beautiful art sounds and voices to go along with it.
For those who aren't familiar with this comic/manhwa, it follows the life of a girl named Philomel who happens to be the princess. Philomel finds a book in her garden depicting a future in which she becomes the villainess. But more shockingly, the book explains that she was actually switched at birth and was a fake princess all along. Leaving her to die at the hands of her own father who never treated her with a shred of respect or love.

Hello everyone! I’m currently bed ridden but won’t let that stop me from trying to cast the roles on time !! I may end up releasing the final cast list a day later than planned (around October 18th perhaps)

Philomel Belerov is the main character of the series! She is a child for a lot of the beginning of the series, but she is also pictured later as a woman in her late teens! So I'm looking for someone who can hopefully voice both.
The series starts with her around 8-10 years old!
I'm looking for someone who can do a bratty, sweet, series, and sad child voice! When she’s older I'm looking for someone who can do a sweet yet refined voice. As if it seems practiced!
LATE TEENS: (Defeated, depressed and scared) Just what was I expecting...?
CHILD: (Whining/angry yelling) It pisses me off! I shouldn't have read this stupid book! It says that I'm fake and someone else's daughter!
CHILD: (Crying, yelling) I want to live...!
Ellensia is an incredibly integral part of the story line. She is the true princess, and is possibly the villainess (?). She is an all around kind girl, or at least that is what has been shown so far. (I have my suspicions on her true character)
I’m looking for a high softer voice (kind of smooth/pillow-ey), less mature. One that hasn’t been refined and yet still seems a bit proper. I don’t believe that I need you to be able to do a child voice but you may. So be aware!
(Heartfelt, a bit flustered) I heard that Naras of Duke Abridon is a really cool gentleman, so I wanted to meet him once.
(Yelling, pleading) PLEASE DON'T KILL MY MOM!
(Pleading, yelling, afraid) D, DAD! CALM DOWN! (pause, worried) ...MOM!
Nasar is the male lead! (And love interest) he is from a powerful Nobel family and is Philomel’s fiancé. When younger he was fully controlled by his dad, but as he grows up he gains more freedom. He still remains serious and knows his goals though.
I will almost definitely need to cast different VAs for his child and late teens self!! So don’t feel like you need to do both!!
I am looking for honestly no specific voice for his younger self (around 10 years old) other than the ability to sound slightly robotic and practiced!! I’m looking for a more medium voice for his future self, one that can still sound practiced.. but also emotional/shy when needed

Emperor Eustice Belerov is one of the most important characters. He appears is nearly every episode. He originally despises his daughters existence for a multitude of reasons and is extremely cold/cruel. As time goes on though he does become a caring father, just with a LOT of baggage.
I’m looking for a medium to low voice for him. Someone who can speak coldly/matter of factly, someone who can show true emotion when shouting and also be able to sound like a caring father.
(Annoyed, angry) Drag that thing out.
(Loving, secretly kinda happy) I guess I can go on a short walk before my duties.
(Angry, holding back because he's in public though) Must I listen to all the whining of a little child? Just because she dares block the path on an emperor because she wants to see a mere festival?
The Nanny is a prevalent character, she does NOT appear in every episode though. By the middle of the story she is almost gone. She is a very strict woman, two faced. Only truly thinks of money, and can be quite cruel.
She is older so I'm looking for a person who can do an older woman’s voice. More on the lower end though.
(speaking loudly, stern) Your Highness, I'm coming in.
(Angry, disappointed) You weren't playing around and avoiding studying again, were you?
(trying to convince, foe sweetly) Your Majesty, this person is definitely the daughter of Isabelle!
Count Polan is the Emperor's right hand man. He is a caring man, he is not as old as his gray hair originally makes him look! He worries for the Emperor and Princess, and is all around a sweet heart! (can you tell I love him?)
Medium voice for him !! maybe medium low (he is a count so please be able to do a professional voice but also he slips into a non-professional voice a lot)
(Trying to convince, worried) ...But still, wouldn't it be nice for your majesty to go visit her Highness when she is sick?
(excited, bursting through the door) Your Majesty !!
(Serious, Professional, a bit sad) This is the first time anything has gone wrong in their predictions, so they seem to be quite confused as well.
Countess Deless is the best and becomes a HUGE part of the story only a new chapters in. She is the new Nanny/Caretaker for Philomel. She is kind, caring, understanding, helpful, and amazing.

She was the queens best friend and maid/servent. She also is Ellensia’s mother (for most of her life.) She can be seen as the main villainess of the story (but it kinda depends who you consider a villain)! She is incredibly strict with her daughter, and she will have MANY emotional lines!!
Looking for a medium or maybe medium high (maybe medium low) voice for her! More rough, less refined than the noble women and Ellensia but still more refined that a normal citizen.
(Yelling, distraught, pleading) That child is my daughter! Do you know how much effort I put into raising her alone..?!
(Mad, annoyed) Hey! Do you know how long it's been since you went out? Why have you been taking so long lately-
(Screaming, distraught, angry) ....YOU! IF YOU DIDN'T LOOK DOWN ON ME! IF ISABELLE DIDN'T GO HOME! THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPEND!!
Estellion is a key part of the story later on. He isn’t great with emotions, and honestly doesn’t understand them. He acts a bit childish even though he is a grown adult. He can be incredibly serious though. When someone cries in-front of them he just gets confused, he truly doesn’t understand emotions.
I’d say he has a medium to low voice! Be able to talk almost robotically/cold but also switch up into a customer service voice
(Customer service voice, kind) Hello? My name is Leguin (pause) what's your name?

Rexion is the “son” of the Archmage. He is pretty caring when around those who are “not like him and his family” but he can go into much of a robotic mode when talking to them. He thinks his “dad” is incredibly rude and always apologizes for him.
I think I’m looking for a medium voice, it can be higher or lower honestly!

Jeremiah is a big part of the story later on. He both hates and loves his brothers/“dad” and honestly sees them as a bunch of fools. He is annoyed easily but can also get flustered easily. He is series nearly all the time and was described as someone who has never felt true happiness before. :(

We can’t figure out his official name translation at the moment so he’s Kaden for now! Kaden is the most energetic of all of the brothers and also the oldest i believe. I love his character cause he’s a big dude but he’s just so puppy like. So be ready to talk really quickly and be excited 24/7 as him!
I truly have no idea what voice he should have. I’m thinking lower? But he’s hard to nail down

These are children, adults, etc. etc. But there are also incredibly important characters so I may end up doing call backs for these roles!!
