Hello everyone! I'm currently developing an indie game and I need some voice clips for the main character Lilly! I mostly just need short simple clips for actions performed in the game (typical grunts, groans, moans, cries, etc..), and a few clips to complement text dialogue (stuff like "Hey!", "Hm...", "Well..." Oh!" etc...) The main character is a female around age 19, and her voice should sound both cute but also confident. The audio quality should be somewhat decent. (Please don't submit anything that sounds like you recorded it in a trashcan or an Xbox chatroom.)
I will have auditions up for 2 other characters as well. However, Lilly is the most important one so if you're going to pick one then pick her. (You can of course audition for all 3 if you want, just saying) The other 2 characters will only need voices to compliment dialogue (so no in-game action clips)
The actresses should preferably be 18+, female, and willing to actually do the voices. (please don't audition just for the heck of it) I don't want to pick you, only to then get an excuse as to why you can no longer do it, or even worse, leave me completely in the dark. You don't need to be a professional or anything, perhaps this is even your first audition. Just be willing to provide the voices.
It should be pretty easy. If you're picked, I'll give you the categories for each clip, and all you have to do is improvise voices related to that category for roughly 1-2 minutes. once you're finished, you then send me the raw file, and I'll sort through the sounds and pick the clips that fit best for said situations.
So for example, if the category is "excited/happy" you might try doing things like laughter, or expressive words like "yeah!" or "alright!". If the category is "damaged/hurt" you might make grunts of pain or say something like "ahhgh!" Improvise whatever comes to your mind!
This is an indie game, therefore It's not being funded by anyone, (no Patreon, Kickstarter, or whatever else is funding this project. I'm doing everything by myself,) and if it weren't for the fact that I'm a male, I would probably be doing the voices too. (I actually tried it at one point using pitch shift, but it didn't sound great and there's video proof of it...) Unfortunately, that's not the case and therefore I ask for the help of charitable individuals who just want to be a part of something cool and are willing to provide said help! Of course, I will be crediting you in the game, and I'll promote you to whomever I can (which ain't much, but I'll do it) and if a day comes where the project becomes profitable in some way, I'll gladly compensate. until then, thanks for the help!
Auditions will be open for about 2 weeks. I don't have an exact date but it will probably close around the 27th/28th.
