Persona Voiceovers Auditions!

Project Overview

What is Persona Voiceovers?

Persona.Voiceovers is a project made up of VAs who are fans of the Persona franchise, we do voiceovers and skits of many different types (memes, dubs, and much more).

For those of you unfamiliar with the series: the Persona series is a JRPG franchise that follows different characters and events in each installment. The franchise focuses on two different aspects of each of game, the classic dungeon crawling you expect from a JRPG, and the slice of life side where your main focus is to live a normal life of a high school student (Which includes hanging out with friends, going to high school, studying, and other crazy high school shenanigans).

Now for clarification, this project is for fun, that mainly means there will be no payment for anyone involved. If you're fine with that and just wanna do a fun voice acting project then you're more than welcomed to audition! We have a variety of different characters that are available to audition for, but keep in mind a majority of the fan favorites have already have been casted.

Requirements:

- You need to be at least 16 years old.

- Discord is required, please submit your Discord Username( Example: bigbossvergil) along with your audition incase you get it (we'll reach out to you on there AFTER you're casted on this project).

- A microphone that can record high-quality audio.

- AUDTIONS NEED TO BE 30 to 60 seconds long (DO NOT artificially extent the length of an audition with either silence or audio editing).

- Please speak loudly and clearly into the microphone when you go to record (If it helps try speaking slowly as well).

- We also require the use of Google Drive, it's required as we utilize it to organize files, such as scripts, voice clips, and many other important things that we use, to keep track of the work we did/didn't do.

- If we cast you, we need you to be good with deadlines and communication.

If you don't think that you can manage these requirements, we please asked that you don't waste you're time auditioning for us.

A few final notes:

1.) We are huge fans of this franchise, as such we may be submitting our own auditions alongside all who wish to participate- I DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO TRY AND IMITATE OUR PERFORMANCES. Each role will have the suggested guidance and ideal performance parameters I have in mind for each character, but the beauty of acting is taking the same premise or direction and presenting it with your own unique flair.

2.) You are free to slate your name in your audition. Your audition should and must be 30 to 60 seconds long minimum. If you feel that the length of your audition should be NATURALLY longer than those parameters, you're free to do so, in fact we encourage it! DO NOT ARTIFICALLY INFLATE THE LEGNTH OF YOUR AUDITION.

And that's it- if more questions come up I recommended that you contact me on Discord: bigbossvergil

Futaba Sakura

Role assigned to: Mika

Futaba Sakura is the Navigator of the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5. She is different from the main crew of the Phantom Thieves, as prior to Persona 5 Strikers, she was a shut-in who does not attend school and rarely, if ever, leaves her house.

Despite her social ineptness and anxiety, Futaba has little problem talking to people as long as the subject interests her. When Makoto is originally attempting to help Futaba open up, she has little success bringing up mundane topics like food and the weather (the latter meaning nothing to former shut-in Futaba). However, once Yusuke starts rearranging her Featherman figures, Futaba begins passionately arguing with him, which soon turns into an actual discussion, allowing Makoto to deduce that she's simply not interested in mundane topics.

While Zenkichi's appearance and demeanor suggests he is untrustworthy, he is actually deceptively intelligent and easygoing, and doesn't conceal any hidden motives. However, Zenkichi also has a comical side to him, having a tendency to panic or overreact when he's caught off guard that usually involves him speaking while shouting in dismay, most prominently seen in Sendai when he scared a child while trying to help him find his mother because he was screaming at his fellow backup officers when they turn him down.

Lavenza speaks relatively more maturely and politely than the twins, while also retaining certain traits from both. She also refers to the protagonist as “trickster”, instead of “inmate”. Like Justine, she maintains a soft-spoken tone, though without the condescension. Like Caroline, she is shown to lose patience easily, as shown when Ryuji expresses confusion towards her explanation, or when she fails to craft a tool and almost ends up casting Megidolaon on the work table out of frustration. When frustrated, Lavenza may change her vocal tone to match Caroline's. Lavenza may doze off easily when sitting on soft surfaces. She also has a mischievous side, as shown in the Thieves Den when she gives Ann and Makoto permission to sit at Igor's desk while he is away, despite considering doing so a "forbidden ritual."

Caroline and Justine

Caroline has a very classical tsundere (someone who acts mean-spirited and aloof to disguise any affectionate feelings) attitude towards the protagonist. Additionally, she doesn't seem to hold the protagonist in very high regard, as she refers to him as "inmate," and kicks him into the Velvet Room whenever he goes to enter. She is generally ill-tempered and impatient, even after the twins' Confidant levels up and she grows to respect the protagonist as a friend. There are certain inconsistencies between how she seems and her real personality, and as according to Justine, she was mortified when she first witnessed Persona fusion and practiced intimidating poses to use on the protagonist but is too embarrassed to use them. She tends to speak to Justine in a demeaning manner.

Justine, in contrast, appears to be calm and soft-spoken, but still treats the protagonist as her prisoner, often addressing him in a condescending tone. Unlike her sister, she will calmly escort the player to their cell. She is the first to question what their true purpose is, and realizes something is amiss with possessing an intricate bookmark but having no books to read. While guarding an entrance to the Velvet Room, she whittles away at her boredom by spinning her clipboard.

Sae is intelligent, professional and serious, although her actual maturity is debatable. A workaholic, Sae is very strict in both her work as prosecutor and guardian for her younger sister, Makoto, constantly telling her to focus on her studies and such. With many responsibilities, Sae is always working due to Japan's work pressure, and is very stressed and exhausted. She must care for Makoto, almost putting her in a single mother's role. Her father dying in the line of duty and forcing her to raise Makoto acts as her very sore spot. She resents Makoto, as the Niijima sister's father throwing his life away in the name of justice forced her to raise her sister alone. The resentment is so horrible that when Makoto asks for her opinion on whether she would think the Phantom Thieves of Hearts were just, Sae snaps and says a bunch of cruel things that she instantly regrets, up to and including that she views Makoto as a burden.

Takemi is a somewhat eccentric young woman. She dresses like a punk and has a morbid sense of humor, reacting with glee when she gets the protagonist to try out a new medicine, watching him squirm. Due to her bad reputation, she can easily tell when one of her patients has an ulterior motive, as those kinds of patients are all she gets. Her reputation as "the Plague" has made her highly cynical and insecure, claiming that she's only good for making experimental drugs, even after being praised for curing a young girl.

Initially nervous and scared because of Kamoshida's abuse, once the tyrant of Shujin was neutralized, his excitable and loyal nature undoubtedly shines through. While his enthusiasm can become annoying, at times Mishima will still be hesitant and respectful, often apologizing for texting when he is sure the protagonist is busy. Mishima idolizes the protagonist as a cool superhero, most likely viewing the protagonist as his "savior" from his abuse under Kamoshida. There are times when Mishima will cling to the protagonist, once saying he will never forgive the protagonist if he is left behind. This clinginess and other socially awkward behaviors is likely due to his past of social isolation as a victim of bullying.

Sadayo Kawakami is a character from Persona 5. She is a teacher at Shujin Academy and the protagonist's homeroom teacher.

Kawakami is a highly competent and professional teacher who never lets her ever-mounting stress and exhaustion show visibly in either of her jobs. She is laid-back and outspoken, once saying "crap" in class.

While she initially acts very coldly towards the protagonist, this was because she thought he was a problem student and felt unfit to deal with the kind of trouble he could bring. After he stands up to Suguru Kamoshida, she realizes that there is more to him than both his criminal record and the rumors showed and thus becomes more understanding and willing to listen, showing her more compassionate and involved side.

Chihaya is a cheerful woman with a lovely atmosphere about her, with a rumor of her fortunes being infallible. This is the most accurate as her predictions have an uncanny ability to be properly divined down to the most minute details. As a result, she can be fatalistic in her belief that fates cannot be changed even when giving her clients readings with terrible outcomes, as most have inexplicably resulted in such a way.

Her time spent with the protagonist begins to change these feelings as he and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts alter the fates of many of her clients. She is initially frustrated and suspicious about this, but soon comes to realize that this implies a better world than she had thought. She has a tendency to lapse into her native rural accent if sufficiently upset or otherwise emotionally flustered.

Kunikazu is an ambitious and career-focused professional who is always chasing his next victory. However, for his daughter, his employees and his fellow higher ups, his ambitions come with a complete, deliberate ignorance of the pain he causes to his company or his family. No matter how many scandals Okumura Foods faces due to its poor safety practices and punishing work hours, or how obviously unhappy Haru is with his manipulations, Kunikazu refuses to let his nobler passions influence his business, instead behaving as ruthlessly as he feels he must to get ahead in the world. In fact, his Shadow Self admits that he sees nothing wrong with using Haru as a political pawn, as he believes it is mandatory to use whatever means to gain fame for his own profit, and becomes furious when he realizes Haru is "betraying" him with the assistance of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts because she fully realized that she has been used as a political pawn against her own will.

Within the public, Alice has the image of a cute and charismatic idol that can mesmerize all of Shibuya (Whom she actually mesmerized with EMMA's supernatural functions) thanks to her brilliant fashion design, and acts so in public. She is also said to be quite attractive, according to Ryuji and Ann, causing the latter to wonder why she had to mesmerize people in Shibuya with EMMA in the first place.

Behind the scenes reveal a completely different person, as she will simply snap and psychopathically bully any man she knows to be in a stable relationship by changing their hearts so they break up their marriage and go for her instead. If anyone tries to stop her afterwards, she will even physically attack them by stepping on them, humiliating them and taking pictures of the bullying. Her Shadow is a dominatrix queen that simply exaggerates her negative traits to extreme levels, and shows a lustful side that enjoys making brave and famous men her servants.

Yukiko Amagi is a playable character from Persona 4. She is the protagonist's classmate at Yasogami High School, and her family runs Inaba's hot springs inn called the Amagi Inn where she is next in-line as manager.

Yukiko Amagi is a reserved, soft-spoken and shy girl, having been raised at an early age to be a prim and proper lady of traditional Japanese customs. At her school, she is an intelligent high school student, earning top grades in her class and often tutoring the material with her best friend since early childhood, Chie Satonaka. Having extremely few friends in general, she is popular at Yasogami High more for her traditionally beautiful looks and ladylike behavior among the guys, and also her feminine qualities that girls admire and/or envy.

She loves her friends and cares about them, as well as her parents and staff from the Inn. A very selfless and supportive young lady, Yukiko will not hesitate to risk her life to save or protect those in need, even if she gains nothing out of it. She also deeply values her hometown Inaba, and vows to become a strong, dependable person so that one day she in turn, will be able to support and protect her town and her people, just like they have graciously did for her growing up.

When Marie is first met, she seems to be a very cold and antisocial individual. She is sullen, cranky, sarcastic, irritable, very foul-mouthed and often prone to mood swings. She will not hesitate to voice her opinion or express her thoughts, regardless of how it would make everyone feel. The team is also weirded out when she politely apologizes, commenting that she never seemed like the type who would say sorry.

However, as the protagonist proceeds in her Social Link, it becomes apparent that her "lack of emotion" is basically just her way of dealing with her own shyness, insecurity and naïveté. Without memories, Marie is unaware of many aspects of the world and modern conveniences, such as not knowing what an electric outlet is (calling it an eclectic loutwit). She has an innocent side as well. This is also why she wants the protagonist to show her Inaba; she wants to learn about the world and who she really is.

Role assigned to: Mac!

Nanako is a mature and kind person for a girl her age, though has moments of childish innocence, such as when she wonders if the weather reporter "decides" the weather. Her refreshingly honest way of thinking and speaking is noted by many characters in the series. Nanako cares a lot about right and wrong, but because she's a child, her sense is underdeveloped, making it a little rigid and failing to account for the big picture: when her father Dojima questioned the protagonist about having gotten into trouble by the police, Nanako would not only assume they're fighting, but would insist that when two people fight, it always means they're both in the wrong, as taught by her teacher. Prominent in her Social Link, her circumstances at home where the righteousness of her own personal feelings (to make others happy) and her father's responsibility to take care of his family clash between one-another.

Nanako's most notable quirk is her love for Junes, in both singing its slogan and in visiting their Inaba branch with her family and friends. Even when given the choice to pick a location for a vacation, her go-to answer is always Junes.

Due to her larger Plume of Dusk, Labrys' personality developed quicker than the other mechanical maidens. She is a caring individual who doesn't want to hurt, let alone kill, anyone she cares about. When she thought she was the human student council president, she was serious, strict, and responsible.

The growth of her ego can be observed within Labrys' thoughts. Moments after her first activation, Labrys' thoughts are extremely simple to understand and consist of the usual technical statements. The more Plumes of Dusk she absorbs, Labrys becomes increasingly eloquent and starts to develop emotions, eventually culminating in her friendship with Unit #024. Even more interestingly, this does not apply to her speech that much since she speaks with an accent directly after her activation.

The only information that the protagonist gets about her is from Yosuke and Naoki Konishi, the former being her co-worker and the latter being her brother. Naoki sees her as a playful yet surprisingly mature individual, and after coming to terms with his feelings, realizes that he misses her dearly.

At first, she seems like a kind person who was nice and supportive to Yosuke. However, it is revealed that she was actually annoyed with Yosuke and quite stressed about her life, with a lot of pent-up angst and a desire to get away from it all. It is also revealed that she believed her family, friends, and neighbors had resented her all along because she worked at Junes, the giant store that was slowly driving her family's liquor shop out of business.

The female protagonist of Persona 3 Portable, canonically known as Kotone Shiomi is a transfer student enrolling in Gekkoukan High School on Tatsumi Port Island. She is an orphan whose parents died on the Moonlight Bridge in their car during a fatal incident a decade prior to the game.

She is very bubbly, funny, upbeat and cheerful. Her dialogue choices exhibit a broad spectrum of emotions, ranging from sarcasm, joking tones, utter seriousness and otherwise depending on the player's choice. She is outspoken, blunt and literal when responding and getting her points across. She is a sharp contrast to the male protagonist who is very reserved and concise where she, on the other hand, is not afraid to interject into conversations where her male counterpart would remain silent. In addition, she is more likely to resort to violence when provoked, especially in defense of her friends, as seen in her Hermit Social Link. She is often described by the S.E.E.S members as a very tomboyish leader who takes risks to save her friends.

This is shown when she attempted to kill the other members of SEES, whom she believed (correctly) were responsible for the Abyss of Time's manifestation. Ikutsuki, as the adviser of SEES, is a polite and sophisticated man, never needing to change his tone or manner. He is friendly, always accompanied with a gentle smile and a set of bad puns and unfunny jokes to provide comedy relief when it is needed, and perhaps not needed. As seen in the video recordings, he may also sometimes write down some puns on his status reports even if they are unwarranted or unrelated to the subject. Ikutsuki knows more than he lets on, but nonetheless he is the main source of knowledge for the group regarding all things related to the Dark Hour and thus acts as guidance for SEES.

After the defeat of the twelve Shadows, he shows a very different side of him to the party at the entrance of Tartarus. He was actually a manipulative, nihilistic and omnicidal maniac with a twisted savior complex, bearing a complete lack of remorse for the sake of complete and utter world annihilation through supernatural means. He is in fact, far from the chairman SEES knew, something Aigis comments on if asked by the protagonist. He then becomes hostile, attempting to kill the ones who relied on him and thought of him as a trustworthy figure. Once that fails, he chose to jump off the roof of Tartarus and committed suicide for good, out of lunatic fervor.

Hikari is a young woman that, at the start of the game suffers from extreme depression and self-esteem issues due to her bad past, where she would often be a target of emotional abuse or manipulation due to not thinking or acting in the same way as others around her, complete with a lack of social skills that prevent her from getting her message clear. While not directly stated to be suicidal, she has self-destructive tendencies and wished that anything that would make her stand out from others to be gone as she thinks that those led to people hating on her. As a result of the bad experiences around others, she displays extreme social anxiety and simply shuts down when facing the slightest amount of stress, being completely incapable of directly speaking to people. Usually, she just lowers her head with her eyes shut or stares blankly at a direction, which she does less frequently as the story advances.

Hikari's father is a kind old man that is the only person that genuinely cared for Hikari before the Persona users, as he helped to develop her mindset and her interest for movies. He wished for Hikari to become a unique person instead of following the footsteps of other people, living her fullest and becoming loved by everybody like the protagonist of a musical.

At first glance, Nagi appears as kind and caring, especially towards Hikari. Hikari views her as a comforting figure and the only person that she could vent her hardships to, and thus always stands by her. She seems to be able to sympathize with Hikari's hardships and appears to be saddened when she hears of her desires to discard herself. She also seems to be very polite, as she uses the most formal first personal pronoun, "watakushi" to refer to herself. She would congratulate the party when they clear a labyrinth and seemingly lets them do whatever they want to do to escape the cinema claiming that she didn't have a choice, which in fact, holds true even if she drops off her guise, as she technically allows her clients to leave whatever time they want to and it was their cognition that prevented them from considering leaving.
