Paradox - An Indie JRPG
Project Overview
Paradox is an indie JRPG following a group of teens and an adult who venture across the vast Starinare region in search of ancient relics called Gaian Stones. The game is a SNES-styled RPG, influenced by classics like Final Fantasy VI, Persona 4, Yo-kai Watch 2 and Mother 3. The game has a story filled with heart and great character moments, brought to live via animated cutscenes with full voice acting. That's where you come in! I am searching for voice actors to bring these quirky characters to life! Being a paid project, I am serious about this project and hope you'll be excited to join me on this game development journey, and bring the world of Paradox to life. <3

The hero of this story is an unnamed 14-year-old boy. His canonical name is Dustin, but the player can name him whatever they want. He and his mother moved to the Starinare Region due to a work-related opportunity for his mom. In the town of Riverview he meets Jacob Santiago and Amy Ambrose, and the trio goes on a list of supernatural adventures across the region.
The protagonist is nervous at first, but when his destiny is laid out for him and charted through a prophecy, he steps up and takes the mantle as the hero of the story!

Jacob Santiago is the protagonist's best friend! Upon meeting him at Riverview High School, Jacob is widely seen as a punk or delinquent. He is similar to characters like Junpei Iori and Ryuji Sakamoto from the Persona series. Jacob used to be in Riverview's gang, the Riverview Ratpack, but has since tried to turn over a new leaf and become a better person. He is fun-loving, kind, and most of all brave. He is there to defend his friends if they ever need him.

This whole time I was thinking about how unfair it was that you got that stone first, but I'm starting to realize that maybe that was always predetermined. Her proficiency with a bow helps the gang in the heat of battle!

Espahr (pronounced Ess-parr) is not like the other party members. He arrives on Earth through an ancient statue. He claims to be from an alternate world named Terra, a realm stuck in a fantasy era of swords and scorcery. He has come to Earth to warn the gang of an immense evil that looks to merge the worlds of Terra and Earth together and rule over it as an authoritarian empire. While initially distant, Espahr grows to accept his new life on Earth and eventually considers the other heroes close friends.

Klaus wasn't always evil, in the past, him and Espahr were friends when in the Terrarian Guard.

He needs the Gaian stones to do this, and he'll stop at nothing to get his wish.

Jenna is a semi-minor character who only speaks in Chapter 1 of the game. She has a hidden hideout in the Riverview sewers, to hide from the loads of bullying she gets at school. She is a shy and timid girl, who only begins to speak to the protagonist after noticing his Gaian stone bears a striking resemblance to a pendent she lost in the sewers. She very clearly hides more than she lets on.
